I used to shop here and would have a great experience and fantastic customer service each time but lately some of the employees who I dealt with aren t there. But I especially have a bone to pick with one of their managers, Oscar every time I m in there he has this attitude and seems to think he s better than everyone, I also overheard him saying one time when I was in there about how he doesn t support I local law enforcement one of those ACAB folks if you will so I ll no longer be doing business with y all. Your other two managers John and Josh by the way are fantastic and always go out of their way to help me find what I need

All the staff at this store are super knowledgeable and honest. They don't try to upsell you and will even come up with solutions that fit your budget!I would like to recognize a particular staff member John T, because he restored my faith in customer service!He has gone out of his way to help me and my neighbors I refereed to him time and time again.I hope Advance Auto Parts recognizes the type of professional John T is and not just an "asset", but a true value to the store AND the community!

Always a great experience.Oscar has always been good to his customers. And supporting law enforcement... how do I know? I'm currently applying to be a cop and he has supported it entirely. Sometimes reviews can be considered biased. Example- an employee of AUTOZONE leaving a horrible review at advance stating the complete opposite. Spend more time boosting your own sales and you won't have to play dirty with online reviews with your competitors

My husband called to ask if they carry the rotor he needed for his car and he was helped and was able to pick up the rotor he needed. It was fast and great service.

Oscar and his crew, especially John T, are outstanding! Knowledgeable, helpful and polite. This kind is customer service is hard to find these days and is very much appreciated. Overall, a great experience. You will not be disappointed.

I needed a battery for my 2016 Kia and after getting some astronomical prices from other companies, I placed a call to the Bayville AAP. Trevor answered the phone, took my information and had the battery waiting for me when I got to the store. He then went outside in the parking lot and installed it for me. Entire process took about 25 minutes and I was back on the road. Much appreciation to Trevor who went above and beyond for this customer, the experience was worth the trip from Manahawkin. Thanks again. !!!

Got what I needed and store is well organized. Staff were friendly and up on the rewards program. But I wasn't offered a military/veteran discount. I guess this is no longer in their program? Might have to shop at the competition to get that benefit!

Walked in here to purchase a battery for my husbands car, I asked the two young men working if they can put the battery into the car for me, the one guy wearing a Spyro sweatshirt told me it s cold outside I wasn t sure what he meant exactly until the purchase was complete and he slid the battery to me. Meanwhile I m largely pregnant and have my 3 year old with me. Really horrible service. Went up to Bayville auto- don t waste your time here. Bayville auto is the way to go!

Right and left signals weren't working. Walked in at 10am on a Monday morning. 3 guys were working and I was the only person in the store. I asked them what I needed. They sold me some kind of fuse block and when I asked if they could help me out with it, they told me they weren't authorized. Instead, one of them suggested I use arm signals out of the window....are you kidding me? So not only was the service horrible, but they couldn't even offer to come out to my car and even point me in the right direction. Pretty lame for a brand new store barely open for a month when there's an Autozone right down the road, whose employees will at least come out to your car and try to help, even if they can't. Awful service, think I'm gonna skip all auto advanced and stick to Autozone. Not the worst experience ever but hardly the amount of customer experience and common courtesy one would expect when entering any store/buisniess

Pops was pleasant and friendly, and advised me exactly which breaks and rotors I needed. Brought my purchase out to my car for me and would not accept tip. Wonderful experience, thank you Pops!

We had to return 3 times to get the right parts. We eventually just returned what we had and went somewhere else. Unfortunate since I've always gotten competent service

Just want to pick up & go not have a employee assume I have no clue & need remedial level unsolicited assistance. Unless ASE is on their name tags they should not be giving repair advice ,parts store not a repair service. Because I this I no longer purchase unless from them unless it's a emergency, I order from other online parts companies that stick to their lane & don't give unsolicited painfully incorrect advice.

Every Time I Go To Advanced Auto parts Nothing But Problems. Today I Was At The Store And Asked If I Can Have my Alternator Tested,The Worket Looked To His Left Then Looked At Me And Said The Machine is Broken. How Do You Do Business If Your Tools Are Broken. I Think He Just Didn't want to Check The Alternator. I Took My Business And Money Elsewhere. Two Times Is A Charm...

Terrible service. Ordered a wheel barring and hub kit was told everything came together at one price, come to find out that that was not accurate and was unable to have my car fixed as scheduled. Was not offered any discount or anything for the inconvenience and for the mistake they made.

Train your employees. I walk in and ask a manager to look up my car to see what oil it calls for and I said I think it takes straight 20 and managers response was they dont make straight 20! I looked at him like, yes they do. I wanted him look it up because I wasnt sure if manufacturer called for 5w 20 or 0w 20(a straight weight oil). This is the most basic thing about cars.

I needed to replace the brake lines in a 1996 Chevrolet truck. Advance Auto had copper nickel generic 1/4 inch line that will work. Salesman was very helpful.

Advance Auto Parts I can't say it as much as I've said it I'm retired I should drive over the road and it's hard to find a good auto parts store that has everything in there I'll tell you what if they can't get it right then and there they'll get it to you by the end of the day if not the next day there people are Pleasant and very knowledgeable they have a problem coming out from behind that counter and walking around showing you what you need and walking with you and discussing alternatives to the things that can get you back on the road

Location is convenient, but lost some points because they no longer test battery/alternator/starter or loan tools to make repairs.
