Our second stay at The Beachcomber Resort was disappointing compared to our first in 2020. Despite improvements to the hotel, we had issues with the service. We requested our room not to be cleaned due to work call commitments and having valuables in the room. It was told to the front desk staff at 830 am and then someone called to confirm this was our request at 10 am. Despite confirming this twice with the staff, our room was serviced anyway. On raising the issue, we faced a rude response from Jennifer who dismissed our concerns as an 'honest mistake'.We felt uncomfortable and upset that our clear instructions were defied and carelessly overlooked by the staff. The manager wasn t in that day and we were promised a call from the manager the very next day again at check out. Overall, the staff's disregard for our requests and their poor response to the mistake was frustrating and we ll never be staying here again.***For others wishing to stay here, please take note there are no safes in the room and no do not disturb signs for the door. This could have easily been prevented if this resort had door tags and better communication among staff.

The pool and hot tub are great. My daughter never wanted to leave the pool and even preferred it over the beach! The room/suite was very clean. The room was a little out-dated but still nicely decorated and well maintained. Each room/suite is owned by an individual so you will always have a different style. There was practically zero noise at night which is huge for me since I'm a light sleeper. Staff was very friendly prior to arrival as well as when we were staying. The free daily slushies were a hit with my family! We loved that the beach is not even a 5 minute walk. We had such an amazing stay that we intend on returning for years to come!

3.5 if I could... we have stayed at the Beachcomber several times over the past 10 years. Most of the times, it has been 5/5... this stay was disappointing.Although the property is supposed to be non-smoking, our very rude neighbor smoked outside, in front of out A/C unit, so our A/C sucked up all her smoke, and made our unit smell of smoke.The towels were much thinner and scratcher than past years.There were children in the hot tub, who would then climb up in the divider and dive into the pool, almost injuring my father.The bathroom door was so swollen that it did not fully close without SIGNIFICANT effort.The floor had much damage under the dining room table, with potential for splinters if you were barefoot.Small refrigerator, but better than nothing.It was listed as a Queen suite, and $20 more than a regular Queen 1BR, but there was nothing special about it... not sure why it was considered a suite. It did not have full size appliances or a fireplace or anything ''extra'.The front desk clerk knew nothing of the area, and had to ask someone where the nearest market was.Very disappointed in how poorly it is now managed. It used to be the best spot in Avalon.The

I was visiting my daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren who were staying at this hotel. The rooms in their 2 bedroom suite was nice and the kitchen area was a good size as well. Swimming pool was fine but water was cold. All in all a nice place to stay.

Best place in Avalon. Super desk service and exemplary room service. From the hot tub to the pool to the deck and grilling area this place is awesome and one block from the beachJust the BEST!

Friendly staff. Close to everything. Free wifi. A little misleading with advertising. Hot tub is not accommodating to children. Rooms look A LOT better in photos. Our room was stinky due to a window at ground level that was just gross, but we got through it. Our TV didn't work the first night of our stay. It got fixed and that's cool, like I said staff was really nice. Pool is real nice but the hot tub was big but off limits to the kids with the exception of 2 inconvenient hours a day. It's unfortunate because at nearly $300 a night, that's kinda lame as most people are traveling with kids and these suites are otherwise family friendly and not really for couples only. There was one instance where my family was the only family in the pool and they still wouldn't let the kids in. Can't blame the teenage girl who was working as she blamed her manager but again at 300 bills a night...I'll go elsewhere next time. Although my experience was just fine I was a little let down.

15 years in a row! Great location, 1 block to beach. Nice outdoor amenities, pool, hot tub, grills, tv. Offer a variety of rooms. Many have now been upgraded. Many nice improvements to the resort. Me & My family stayed there a few days ago and we had an amazing experience!!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was immaculate we stayed in room 215 very clean everything was up to date the bed and the pillows were absolutely AMAZING!!!!! We had such a great time in the pool and the Hot tub...we even swam at night and watched a movie put back i, t he pool yard....Me and my family are def going back soon and i have told EVERYONE how much i highly recommend The Beachcomber Resort!!!!

Clean rooms and very friendly. Loved the kitchenette. Very uncomfortable bed or I would give 5 stars. Quiet and cold AC. Great pool and close to the beach. Very well run place and would definitely come back.

We visited for an early Fall wedding in Avalon. Our room was average, although it would be great for bringing two small kids to the beautiful Jersey Shore for a week or two. It was a kitchenette near the pool and one block from the Ocean. The staff was friendly and efficient. It isn't a new property or the Ritz, but it's good for what it is.

The staff was very nice. The hotel meet all our needs. Clean room, nicely decorated, nice pool and it was walking distance to the beach. The only problem was that EVERYTHING around us closed very early due to off season.

Great rooms, great location. Rooms and pool area are very clean and well kept. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. The room my wife and I were in had a kitchen with a sink, fridge, diswasher and a stove. Pots, pans, plates, glasses and cutlery were also provided. Definitely will be back next summer!

great place to stay! 4th time staying here never fails to produce a good stay. pool area has plenty of chairs/seating and is always clean. housecleaning is quick and neat. very accommodating

Good location, good pool and hot tub(over 18) but I got trapped in my room because the door wouldn t open. After calling the lobby we couldn t reach anyone and my step dad was trapped outside and me and my mom were inside. We had to call the police to get the manager to come and try to get us out which they couldn t. We had to evacuate through another room door that they busted open. They put us in a new room for one night then made us change again taking time out of day. What did we get for this scary trouble. One night free stay

Nice hotel. One block from the beach. Nice pool with ample lounge chairs and tables. Parking spaces off street. Low spot was bed quality. Our Murphy bed had a horrible mattress. So did sleeper sofa.

Been coming here the past several years since my father-in-law bought into his condo. The place was shabby at that time. However, I have watched the management over the past several years turn the place around. They redid the pool and the grounds and have updated their rooms. They are doing a nice job to bring the place around and each year i notice more people then the previous years. I'm sure the condo prices have gone up since Poppop bought in. Keep up the good work.

I have been coming here with my family for 12 years, and it just keeps getting better! The pool is beautiful and always warm, the beach is right across the street, and the rooms are comfy and beachy. I hope everyone who stays here has as much of a good time as we do!

Unit came with a destroyed King size bed with full sized sheets. the AC unit was clogged and kept cycling every 5 minutes. The unit came without drawers for clothing. The outdoor gas grills were left dirty and without any functional brush . The management was horrible in dealing with any problems. The unit was without the basic kitchen utensils.

I love staying here! We come here every week on labor day with our family. Really enjoyed the new pool and hot tub area this year!! It's so nice with the new grills etc:) highly recommended & only a block from the beach!! Love it!!
