Took my car to Firestone for oil change and they told me I needed a whole new breaking system for my rear breaks that totaled over $900. Took it to Howard s Gulf and asked them to look at it to see what I needed. Turns out I didn t need everything replaced and he saved me major money!! Will definitely be a repeat customer. They were honest, communicated well, and quick. I highly recommend!!Service: Brakes

Great place to take your vehicle!! This was my first time using Jose s shop & they treated me like I ve always been a customer. Fixed everything I needed at a great price!! I will always use Howard s for all my cars now. Highly recommended them. Professional reliable fair & pretty fast!!! Jose scheduled my service and it was completed in a timely manner. They replaced the oil pan gasket on a 2015 Silverado. So far so good, does not appear to be leaking and they completed the repair in a timely manner. Reasonably priced . Scheduled thereafter for shocks and struts to be replaced. They completed the service within hours. It was a recommended service and the truck rides great. These guys are the real deal... hands down! Jose and his crew are exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled. They replaced my break lines, caliper, pads and knuckle hub for nearly half the cost I was quoted at other shops in the area. Their turnaround time was less than a day on our 2008 Ford Edge and 2002 Saturn. Satisfied customer for life!Service: Exhaust

My best new discovery. My son was introduced to Howard's Gulf when they offered a free oil change to anyone working in the medical field in the early weeks of Covid. There was no 'catch' to get you in and then find ways to charge you for something, it was just an honest way to show appreciation to some of those hardest hit in the early days of the pandemic. I'm sure there was the hope of drawing in new customers, if that be the case, it worked. However, it was not the 'free' service that my son chose Howard's Gulf as his mechanic of choice for future auto work, it was the exceptional and professional service he received. He and his car were treated with the same professionalism as any other customer there, paying or otherwise. Jump forward to this past week when he brought in another car that had been sitting for several months. It's an older BMW, I only say that to emphasize the often ridiculous costs to repair this car, which needed a new battery, extensive brake work, rear shocks and a full synthetic oil change. I don't think I can remember a time or person who was actually happy with the cost estimate and final out of pocket expense for car repairs...ever. It's never enjoyable to have to pay for a costly car repair but when you 'get what you pay for' as the saying goes, and you get to enjoy being able to finally drive around in the convertible you love just as the season & weather are turning, then it is a price well paid. Now, not only will he be bringing any future work to Howard's, I too, need work done to my beloved but often neglected truck. It has sat for quite a while awaiting possible expensive repairs for fear of dishonesty when having to choose an unknown, unrefered repair shop. I am quite confident, from firsthand experience, that I will receive honest repair estimates and professional, timely work when I take her there. Bravo Zulu to Howard's Gulf.

I want to give a huge shout out to Howard's Gulf Service. I ran into a problem with my car today. I have not been a customer, but I called Howard's to see if they would have any time to look at it to tell me if the car was safe or not. They told me to come right over. I went there, they assessed the car, ordered the parts I would need to fix the car and scheduled the appointment. They were a tremendous help in giving me peace of mind. They were courteous and reasonably priced too. I will definitely be doing business with them again and will recommend them to my friends and family.

Here we go, finding a car mechanic is tough. I ve been dealing with Howard s gulf for over 20 yrs. I have a business, and four kids who now have cars. I am a car guy and they have taken care of every year, make, and model that I have brought them. Old or new, they stand behind their work as far as warranty, and I have had some major issues. Jose is the man, gets me in and out when I need him. Price is always fair and I Would not go anywhere else.Jim McLaughlin

I needed help in a bad way to get home to New Hampshire. Jose was able to help us big time for cheap money. if you are looking for a mechanic with integrity, skill and fair pricing look no further. Jose is your man. if I ever need work done while I'm here in NJ Howard's Gulf will get my business every single time.

Great shop to go to,clean very honest and friendly. I highly recommend taking any and all of your vehicles or suggesting others to go here.They do great work very honest people,and very reasonable prices.Yes other reviews may say something but here at this shop it is different.Owener is very nice and helpful with any of your needs.

Howards is always there for me! Many times I have just dropped off my car after hours and the following day, it is usually fixed! It's nice to have a service center that you can trust! i highly recommend, and I have!

I was from out of town and my van was making a horrible noise and it could barley be driven. I brought my van in and he had me fixed within a hour. So happy with this company, highly recommend this place.
