Love this area. I was fortunate to have lived nearby for a few years. Waterville is a great vacation spot, pretty much all year long. There are countless trails nearby, suitable for any age/experience level really. The town square has a few places to eat, and some shops to explore. This picture is of the Mad River, about a mile south from the Town Square.

I haven't been since COVID-19 but I have been 3 times. First time was for a conference in 2016 the last time was 2018. The shops and restaurants are a great to visit. You can visit and rent bikes!

Quaint little town square in the middle of the resort with tons to do. Bike rentals, kayaks, canoes, ice skating in season and a ton of hiking trails minutes away, all included if you have the Freedom Pass from your hotel. Nice casual dining and shops to pick up the necessities.

Busy, the Mexican restaurant was full. Hostess did not speak any English, we spoke next to no spanish...we were willing to wait but she didnt understand. Had to be the strangest encounter i have had at a restaurant. We went to the sports bar on the first floor. 1 hour wait. Bathrooms were closed because they did not work. Had to go to the market next door. There was a youth hockey tournament going on. Lots of tweens... another time maybe for us..

I would like to complain here about the poor service to Mrs. Amanda. we are and family in total of 4 people and two children in the apartment. we were arriving at the pool and when we realized that we had lost a card to enter the pool, I went back to reception and explained the situation to the attendant amanda who did not care to help us and ignored us. I asked to call management and she just pretended we didn't exist. it would be very important to look at this because this is not the way to treat a family that was just enjoying such a special moment.

There are lots of small shops, next to a lake There is a pizza place in the Square, we, had a bad experience there, The manager, nor owner came out to address the problem, I would only suggest. You order to go out. The service for sit down isn't a good experience

Such a nice place to just relax and enjoy New Hampshire! Would definitely recommend taking the drive and unwinding by the pond.

Sunday, 4th July weekend, live band starting at 6. All businesses closed! Light rain, the band is alone in the village square. Pathetic, you can't call yourself a resort when you roll up the side walks at 6pm on a holiday weekend.

Maybe the summer is the busy season? Seems like it's all bankers hours here. But there's a couple restaurants and a general store and coffee shop. Most were closed Sunday night.

So as classified as a shopping mall it's probably not amazing in the sense that you could spend all day shopping. But town square does have everything you'd need and a little bit extra. There's an outdoor appeal and equipment store, a bike/ski shop, a general store with beer/wine, a coffee shop, and several restaurants. There is also a book and toy store as well as a gift shop with both useful as well as 'touristy' gifts. One thing to be aware of is that the hours change quite a bit depending on the season. So check before you go...I've found that Google is pretty good with keeping up with the changes.

Great area for shopping, dining, watching bands. Mexican Restaurant (Hacienda) had great food and Tequila menu! Old Waterville Pizza had great pizza but more importantly an amazing beer list! In addition to super helpful gear rental shop, cute book shop, general store, arcade and escape room.

Nice little center in Waterville. Has most of what you need but at steep prices. Its good in a pinch but not sustainable long term; expect to spend 1.5x-2x the price for anything you can get in Plymouth or Campton.

Quaint. Picturesque. The heart of Waterville Valley. Grab a slice or cozy up to watch a game at Olde Waterville Pizza (bonus too it's next to the public bathrooms). Grab a fun beverage and sandwich from LaTasse. The Bookmonger has your next read, puzzle or game, and lots of fun activities for the kids. Jugtown sells groceries, ice cream, and has a wonderful candy selection. Just a few of our favorites.

Good place for all ages. There is a nice store with all of the essentials that you may need and a number of restaurants and shops and that sort of thing. Hiking and frisbee golf nearby

Town Square had everything we needed. Great food, entertainment, and friendly people. You can rent a bike or boat there as well. There is a variety of stores to shop at and a small beach to relax or go fishing. Our favorite was the Escape Room. We spent most of our weekend in the Town Square.

Honestly, I'm disappointed. The little marketplace in a Town Square is quite nice, but the rooms leave much to be desired. The rooms in each condo lack locks, and have poor/minimal lighting. There's no AC, and some random possessions from the previous guest were left behind. The wifi is also next to useless. The resort itself is quite beautiful, but I expected more from the rooms.

It's a cute place. We were there after a lot of fresh snow and it was really nice. The Christmas trees were up and lit. Lots of different shops to walk through and there are a bunch of restaurants to choose from. It looked like there was losing above which could be kinda neat.
