If I could offer more stars,I would. Beautiful rooms, comfortable furniture, and extremely quiet. None of that is why I am writing this. The reason for this review is Stephanie, the innkeeper! She was absolutely amazing, friendly and cheerful, felt at home from the moment we arrived. Coffee was ready promptly at 7 am, the homemade breakfast was incredible, sweetest pineapple I have ever tasted and the presentation was incredible! Not to mention the homemade waffles and donuts ( yes she made donuts from scratch, icing too!)

It is a quaint place. It was a rainy weekend so we didn't go out much. We enjoyed the very large TV and watched movies. It was comfortable. They also had a pool downstairs and a game room. No need to go out.Nearby activities: There were some nearby restaurants, a game room, stores and an escape room.

It has beautiful mountain views. I love the new lobby. It is a beautiful place to just sit with friends and chat and also meet new people. I like that the rooms have fully applianced kitchens. It kind of makes you feel like you're in a nice hotel but have conveniences of a home. The indoor pool and hot tub are nice so no matter the weather you can enjoy.

The first time I went to the town of Waterville, NH was for a conference back in 2016. I stayed at Golden Eagle for 4 days. It was a wonderful stay. The resort accomodations were nice. A full kitchen, dinning room, living room and bedroom. The bathroom was huge and very clean along with the rest of the the spaceCommon areas were great! The neighboring restaurants are great!

Staffing and managerial issues. Keys didn t work and the poor board members manning the desk for a time were not skilled in desk management. The TV cable was not working- so no TV in the main living space. We were not given appropriate number of passes to use the facility amenities. Thankfully the staff allowed us usage without appropriate documents. The front desk was and is still closed, no guidance on checking out or any other of our issues. Housekeeping staff was wonderful when they came around. We will never come here again and feel really cheated that they take our money 2 weeks prior to check in.

Great staff, comfortable lobby, and all amenities close by. Rooms are clean and inviting, with all basic necessities of efficiency. Actual woodburning fireplace in the lobby with generous seating. Everyone tends to congregate there. Will definitely stay here again.

There was no air conditioning in our suite. I never would have booked a room without a/c in July when I have central air in my house. The manager tried to make many ridiculous excuses and offered us a dehumidifier which did not help at all. He tried to say it was because we were in a National Forest, but we were there for a wedding and every single other person who came to the wedding had a/c. Apparently the hotel was full so they could not switch our room to one that had a/c... because some of the rooms did. He also tried to say it was in our confirmation letter but I showed it to him and it was not. Our room was literally 80 and smelled like curry. We drove a half hour to the nearest store and bought a fan which helped a little at night. They did refund one nights stay but not both..??? And the manager was nowhere to be found during check out. The suite was spacious and nice but smelled awful and had absolutely no air circulation. Maybe would have been nice in the winter. I would never stay here again.

Nice. Beautiful. But came at end of October apparently after peak season and there's nowhere to eat after 7pm. Places advertise that they're open, but aren't, or they say they're open until a certain time, but just close whenever they feel like it. Definitely hit up Walmart before you arrive so you don't starve!

The scenery was beautiful and the rooms were large with all we needed. The staff were extremely helpful whenever we needed help and we had a great time exploring the area! We were very excited to learn the areas activities came with the room! Will definitely visit again.

Couldn't ask for better accomodations. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and a babbling Brook to listen to as your falling asleep. Although a little dated, the lodge met all of our needs perfectly. I would recommend this hotel to all who want to enjoy the beauty of the White Mountains.

Enjoy the great weekend with my family up at Waterville valley. They have a little bit of everything for everyone. Great amenities such as pools, paddle boats, paddle boards, hiking trails and even a golf course. And this is just in the summer. At night we had great dinner outside with live music. Couldn't have been a better weekend with the family thanks to the Golden Eagle Lodge at Waterville Valley.

Was there overnight for a company event. The room was nice, with 2 beds, a small living room and a full kitchen. The tv was a bit small and outdated and there was no air conditioning, but there was so much to do that we weren't in the room much except to sleep and the fans and open windows kept us cool enough through the night. All in all I would stay there again and would recommend it to friends.

We rented a unit which was nice and clean. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Love that it has trails, beach, restaurants etc right outside our door. Only bummer is no ac in most units, which normally isn't a problem with the cool evening mountain air, but during a heat wave it's a little warm to say the least.

It's 5:45 and we're still not in our room for a 4:00 check in. Totally understaffed and not a manager to be seen, leaving the young woman at the front desk to do her best to manage MANY upset customers. The lobby is complete chaos. Really unimpressed with how it's being handled. Think they'll do anything for us? Absolutely not. Think I'll take my sweet time moving out in 2 days? You betcha.

This was a horrible experience for both myself and my family as I have 3 children and we were all inconvenienced thru our stay as the manager Tina at the front desk and our house keeper Emily we conflicted with constant foul language as well as check in times. We also felt as if we were rushed out of our rooms. We drove 4 hours from New Jersey and had no option but to stay for a night at a room we had already booked. I was very very disappointed with there staff and service. We come to ski in the area often and will not be booking here in the future. Just a headed up for anyone here with children these people were very rude.

This place has a pretty descent pool but its kinda shallow. They have an amazing game room that the kids love. The coffee is free and the hot chocolate is 25 cents. Their rooms are amazing and they have great veiws of the mountains and sky.

Wonderful Resort. Beautiful building. Well maintained installations. Spacious Suites with kitchen plenty of cookware. No air conditioner (fans). Indoor pool, hottubs, sauna, vending machine, small game room. Barbecue facilities, playground, soccer camp, basketball. Aditionally the resort give each guest free daily tickes for a lot of activities in the area. (Biking, tennis, golf, liftchairs, athletic center, canoeing, kayaking, ice skating. Among others)

Fantastic value with the passes we received to local places and attractions. Beautiful but casual and comfortable. Nice to have our own kitchen and more space rather than a hotel stay. We will be back!

These are some of the local attractions apart from skiing, hiking, river, rafting all that. What an absolutely fabulous place to rejuvenate and revive one spirit and soul

It was pleasantly quiet and the rooms were great. We had a full kitchen and numerous beds. Location wise it was beautiful as you were surrounded by mountains.

After 12 hours the temperature in our apartment went up from 59F to 64F, too cold to my taste, especially when my younger son has a minor cold. If your system can't keep up with -20F outside please install better boiler and/or insulation.

THE GOLDEN EAGLE LODGE? ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD! Cold, Dated, Inhospitable.Remember Jack Nicholson's movie The Shining About a Nightmarish Hotel? The Golden Eagle Lodge In Waterville, Valley, N.H. Comes CloseGreat warm New England exterior building facade. Halls as cold as a Russian Gulag in Siberia. The management style you would expect in an Alabama State Prison Camp. The rooms Stuck in the Seventies. No Restaurant. The greeting at the desk was warm at first, but the long endless white hallways to the room, unheated and unadorned with a single picture make you chilled me to the bone. The Golden Eagle seems to be a place where except busy ski, or hockey weekends seems to be a home for forgotten pensioners. I met anelderly woman climbing the stairs to the 6th floor who told me she and her husband had bought a Golden Eagle in her prime as a weekend ski getaway years ago, then moved in permanently when they fell upon hard times, and their family grew up and moved away.I had expected that when I got to the room after a long march through the 30 degree hallways that it would warm my bones but it was unheated tooNo one had bothered to turn it on, even though I reserved the room and paid almost five hours earlierWhen I went back to complain another elderly woman with wet hair in a bathrobe sitting by the fireplace said she was on The Board, told me "You're absolutely right about the unheated hallways. She said loudly in full earshot of the front desk. "Ask them to give another room on the front side of the building where its warmer."The girl at the desk with a pretty smile but sharp teeth gave me the key to another room which I accepted gratefully but then started treating me as a common thief insisting that I pay the rest of the money or give back the keys repeatedly. I said sure just let me check out the room, but I'm sure it will be okMy wife meanwhile unloaded the entire car of skis and luggage which after a long two hour ride from Boston was kind of exhausting and disorienting, in part because of those long white halls. She said, "the elevators moved so slow I thought I was stuck and started to panic."When I came back to the front desk, to pay an additional $225 for the second night, the girl who was becoming increasingly hostile by the minute said I now owned $395 for the upgrade. I said how could that be? I didn't ask for an upgrade, just a different room. The place was almost empty so there must be others. The girl was unbudgeable as a car size boulder. "That's what my manager told me." The website says the General Managers name is Brenda Campagna who came to the job from a career in Medical RecordsI said a board, member suggested it, and the girl responded "She has no authority and doesn't work here." with thinly disguised contempt. I told my wife and son we had to leave and my wife hurt her back lugging the bag down the stairs from room 604. My son was worried Dad will we have to sleep in the car? No i saidThe girl refused to give me my 50% deposit back of $225 money back for the first night wouldn't let me speak to the manager because she was not on duty. Finally with my blood pressure hitting the roof I made such a fuss that she called the manager and offered to give my first nights deposit of $225I appreciated that very much, and the girl helped me get a number for another hotel but feel this place owes me a night stay for all our trouble which would prompt me to soften this review. I would even contribute it to a needy hockey family.. I have said this because I feel sorry for the older residents who have condos in the building, and whose economic well being my review might influence. I cant change the review however unless I feel the management does something for me

This place needs Gordon Ramsay with Hotel Hell. Too many issues to list... If it wasn't for a hockey tournament, and the entire team staying here, I would check out early. Staff is nice, but that hardly makes up for stained carpets and dysfunctional shower.

Along with access to indpor rock climbing skiing ice skating sledding, onsite spa massages gyms and indoor pools. Peaceful and welcoming.
