You can't get much better for small-town hospitality, locally sourced, great tasting food with real-sized portions than Munroe's. Just visiting the area for one night we called ahead to make sure we could be seated, (3 children, 4 adults) and were told to come right down. Walking in, they opened up their side room which was warm and inviting on a cold December morning. Our waitress was excellent, making sure the kiddies were taken care of and hot beverages served immediately, just what we wanted. My wife immediately went for the amazing Blueberry pie waffles with whipped cream on top, I had the veggie skillet which was almost too much food and the Redneck Bennie was a big hit. The children enjoyed the reindeer pancakes and when commenting on what syrups were available, we were given the locally sourced family made maple syrup. As a northern Michigander, I consider myself a bit of a maple syrup snob and this one is top notch. Thank you, Munroes Diner for a great breakfast all around. E you next year!

I have been coming here for years with my fiance and it is our go to spot for breakfast and lunch! I cannot recommend them enough, the chili is outstanding and having it on their delicious chili cheese dogs is even better! Always consistent and spot on! It's an adorable family-owned restaurant and you can tell that someone who works there that is from the south because they know their cheesy grits!!!! And let me tell you they are out of this world!

We really enjoyed our brunch at Mornroe s. It s a cute restaurant by the road and usually quite busy during Fall months. Their comprehensive menu is a blessing for vegetarian folks. I ordered a quinoa patty burger while my friends got omelette and fish and chips. The food was good and the staff was courteous and very hard working except it took us a bit of waiting to get in the restaurant.

The portions are very generous and the food is delicious. They have vegetarian options however limited gluten free options. We were able to sit right away and the food came out quickly. There is an option to order at the walk up window and sit outside if that is preferred. It is the same menu as inside the restaurant.Vegetarian options: Veggie sausage, pancakes, lots of omelets and skillets.Kid-friendliness: Great kid's menu. Option to eat outside and allow kids to burn off some energy while you wait for your food.

Loved the food. We ordered Chicken & Waffle, veggie panini and bicuit with gravy. Everything was delicious with great portion size. Service was fast and attentive. It seemed like most people eating around us on Saturday afternoon were folks who came after finishing their hike, so great lively atmosphere.Vegetarian options: Veggie Panini was super good.

A popular diner in the area so a wait is expected during peak hours. The menu is comprehensive with some southern touch: chicken and waffle, biscuit and gravy etc. The staff was friendly. The food was a bit disappointing - not a good diner level but more like a neighbor who can cook. The home fries were soggy not crispy, the chicken fingers were completely dry, and the sauce for mac and cheese was so thin and very much like a instant product. The soup was probably the best item among our orders. Nothing was terrible but okay. Overall a 3.5 star place and I will probably skip if I come back to the area.

I love diners and I can tell this is a very good one. We had brunch: Meatlover's skillet, Hungry Man, pancakes. The skillet was delicious, very good chicken tenders. Not so much scrambled eggs. Recommend it for breakfast, a quick bite or a break on your way through the White Mountains. Very nice staff also

A family owned restaurant for over 31 years. The food was delicious, and our waitress was great. My meal was the steak and pasta dish that included a salad and a desert for $14.99 the best value for a meal in quite some time. Definitely affordable for larger families

Food was very good! I had the chicken cheesesteak, which had chunks of real chicken and the peppers and onions were fully cooked (not half raw). The onion rings and the sauce it comes with were tasty too! My husband loved his ham &cheese omelet with an abundance of red skinned potatoe home fries. Food came out hot! Worth stopping at if in the area. Servers were very friendly!

My wife and I stopped here on vacation, and it was the best we ate at all vacation. She got the Reuben and said it was the best Reuben sandwich she has ever had. Everything was made from scratch. The waitress made us feel like regulars, just a great home feeling. We will be returning next time up there.

After reading a bunch of good reviews my husband and I decided to stop in. It definitely lives up to the expectations. It's a small restaurant with great food and great service! You really can't beat the prices either. We ordered the Captains Platter to share. It came with fried Haddock, Bay Scallops, Shrimp and clam stripes (we substituted for whole belly clams for only $3). We also ordered a basket of sweet potato fries with home made honey mustard that's delicious! Beers are $3 each so again, very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place

Just a heads up - if you re looking at their hours on Google, they open at 8 am, not 7 am. We got here around 7:40 am and they weren t open. Cars started piling in the closer it got to 8 am so naturally, a line started forming at the front door. I ordered the 3 egg omelette with tomato, broccoli and cheese with raisin toast and hash browns. The eggs were excellent and not dry. The waitress was extremely friendly and was able to get our order and food out on a timely manner despite being sat 10 tables at the same time.

Found this little restaurant while road tripping our way around North Mountain. Breath of fresh air and warmth in the midst of a winter storm. Going to make this a regular stop for brunch when I'm around this part of the country again.Try the Firecracker Prawns if you're here. Loved them.
