Edit: updating to two stars as the manager quickly reached out to us and refunded our inspection fee. Still an overall disappointing experience, but appreciate the willingness to correct it.Avoid this company at all costs unless you like wasting your time and getting pissed off. We went in for a simple inspection. Everything passed, but we did not yet receive our paper registration from our town office. They failed us due to this after an hour of waiting despite us providing the email confirmation from the state of NH showing the registration had processed. Why was this not requested from the get go if it would fail the inspection? We drove to our town office immediately to get the registration. We then drove back to the VIP. They told us that they wouldn t finish the inspection because other people were waiting. All that was missing was the registration which they now had in hand. They refused to give us the sticker and told us we have to come back in two days. The only reason we came today was because we specifically scheduled time to do it today. They didn t want to help us at all despite us going all over to get them what they needed. Needless to say we will never return to this location or this company ever again. Even though they already have our money, we ll go elsewhere for the inspection. I can only imagine what they d fail us for in two days if we go back. Don t go here unless you have a day to waste on a simple car inspection.

Originally I stopped in for a quote for new tires and an alignment. One of the reasons I liked VIP is because they could do an alignment on the day new tires were installed. The quote listed the Alignment as a 0 charge and nothing was mentioned about a tire Maintenance plan. On the day of the appointment I showed up at my allotted time. I had been diagnosed with Pneumonia less than 24 hours prior. While dropping off my vehicle and checking in I was told that the tire replacement and alignment would take all day. This was very unexpected. At no other time in my life have I been told tire replacement would take more than 3 hours. With Pneumonia I walked 3 miles home. On the quote that was created an employee noted and told me they would be able to use headlights which I purchased from the same location. Around 1pm I received a call that my truck was almost completed. The call also indicated that each light bulb replacement would cost $120 per side in labor. Around 2:30 I trekked the 3 miles back to VIP to pick up my truck. I had to wait another hour once I arrived at 3:30. At 4:30 I was given a cost of $1300. This did not include light bulb replacement. I was also charged for the alignment in which the quote had marked as $0 charge. I was then told I was being charged for a tire maintenance plan. Therefore with all of these unknown charges, and changes that were not part of the Quote it is sad to say that I would not recommend VIP to anyone. I had planned on bringing my families second vehicle to VIP that also need tires. I am very disappointed in the service and the treatment of the customers.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

My windows were tinted and I was quoted 2.5 hours to remove tint from 4 windows. As I needed it to be removed to get a sticker. Well the charged me the same amount of money but only removed tint from two windows. Over $300! My sticker was $45.00.Plus when I got there, there were two front guys. One was chowing on his breakfast and the other one was not friendly at all. Not customer service driven. Then he tried to sell me a fluid replacement job.I live in New Hampton and will let all 2,000 plus residents know about my experience!Once this posted I got a call from Dave who is the service manager there. He apologized for my experience and offered to make things right.When I met with him he really wanted to keep me as a customer and offered to refund half my bill which I thought was fair.He apologized again we shook hands and because of that second experience my wife and I would have no problem in going back to VIP for service!

I had my oil changed in december. It was a good experience. They had flexible scheduling and are open later than other shops. They did a good job too. I will be coming back.

I had my oil changed in October. They were swamped but still managed to get me in the same day. I travel a lot for work so frequent oil changes, they were life savers! Highly recommend. Quick, efficient, and professional.

I made an appointment to have a wheel stud replaced. I found the price for parts, one stud, $6.88, and one lug nut, $12.48, to be very high. I was quoted 1 hour labor. Job took maybe 1/2 hour, charged for .8 hrs for 110.88 . A $10.98 charge for shop fees was out of line. I was given a 10% discount but still, $141.22 for a 1/2 hour job is ridiculous. Would not recommend you at those prices.

I am updating my review from 1 star to 3.5 stars.The company reached out to me, and we came to an agreement that was amenable.The GM (I think) and I talked, I reitterated my experience and he asked if I had a date/time to make an inspection appointment. I told him November 17 @ 0800 would be good. He set it up and told me that because it's a reinspection, it should be a quick appointment. I told him I would adjust my review as warranted after my appointment.I arrived @ 0755, checked in, they had my truck inside in about 5 minutes. I watched through the window in the waiting room as the mechanic perfomed his work. My truck was stickered and back out front after about 20 minutes, I got my key and receipt and left.VETERANSConsider using this store. (I changed this from "Do NOT use this store.")I appreciate the free state inspection. My truck didn't pass due to rear brake wear, so I replaced the brakes myself and scheduled another inspection online.Your employee at the Tilton location called me the day I made this appointment, and he cancelled it. He said there were no available appointments until the following Tuesday at the earliest.I called the Laconia VIP store and the employee that answered told me the same thing in regards to the Laconia store schedule.I find it hard to believe that both stores have the exact same filled schedule.If the Tilton store is booked where my, scheduled online, appointment is unavailable, why is VIP emailing me at 0601am on the day of my appointment to confirm the same appointment?It seems that the store was upset that I did my own work, saving myself hundreds of dollars on my tight budget.

I had a loud knocking coming underneath my vehicle. I had it in 3 shops in Massachusetts. No one could figure it out. With in minutes, Dave told me what the issue was. Very pleased with the entire team @ VIP. They replaced both sway bar links.

Dave was awesome! I made an appointment for tires but they were not delivered in time for the appointment. Dave went above and beyond to search for tires that were close to what I was willing to pay and in stock. Needless to say I was in and out with brand new tires, oil change and tires balanced in a timely manner. I highly recommend Tilton VIP

I love that i could find a place where i don't have to leave my vehicle all day to get a tire swap done. The guys were great and were able to also tell me which one of my wheel bearings was going bad (i knew it was, just couldn't tell which side haha)

I am updating my review to reflect my latest very positive experience at VIP Tilton. My Volvo needed extensive work which these pros handled very competently and at fair pricing. You can rely on them to take care of virtually the full gamut of auto care so your ride is safe and dependable. A flat tire had me calling AAA. A friend suggested going to VIP. I m glad I did. Everyone was friendly and efficient. They helped me pick out tires and I was in and out in a reasonable amount of time. I will definitely be getting my future auto needs at VIP.Service: TiresService: Tires

Despite arriving without an appointment, a technician looked at my car, diagnosed it, and resolved the problem very promptly. The issue ended up being a minor one, but I certainly didn't know that when I brought my car in. Other, less scrupulous mechanics, might have attempted to trick me into a costly service I didn't need. However, the folks at VIP were very honest and got me back on the road quickly.

My husband and I were getting ready to head out on vacation, driving to Upstate NY as well as Ohio. When I tried to start my car the battery was dead. I had AAA come and give me a jump and then brought it to VIP for a new battery. Rod greeted me right away, with a friendly smile. He was able to put the new battery in and send me on my way within about 45 minutes. We were able to still leave on Wednesday and the car ran beautifully. I will definitely be going back there with future automobile needs. Thank you Rod and team!

Dave was alone at the service desk when I arrived. He was juggling phones, techs, customers. In between, he helped me replace two headlights bulbs (low beams) quickly and well.

Went in for oil change to be told they have to re schedule because they didn t have the right air filter even though I made this appointment a week prior. Take your business elsewhere this place is unprofessional

Had to replace my front brakes. They were able to get me in on short notice. They kept me updated on progress while I waited for the work to be done. Only wish the TV was working.

I had 2 tires replaced on my car yesterday and an alignment. Everyone from the desk to the men doing the work were very professional. I will definitely be going back for any tires in the future and will recommend VIP to my family and friends.

I recently needed new tires for my car before the bad weather came. Dave was excellent. He ordered the tires and held them until I was able to get them. Will never go back here! I set up an appointment on Saturday I was quoted a certain price I was adamant that I needed front AND BACK brakes n rotors replaced! I go in today for my appointment and the guy behind the counter gave me a bill DOUBLE of what I was told I said that s crazy n the rep said well you can turn around n leave ! Very incredibly rude! So I did made one phone call and got it 300$ cheaper for the exact same thing I wanted there! This was my second time going to vip in Tilton and this is the second bad experience I had there will not let a third happen!!Service: Tires

I stopped in for a oil change at the VIP in Tilton NH. The representative that waited on me was helpful and friendly. I found that the price for my oil change was very fair.
