My partner is active duty military and he started going to this location because the old manager was a veteran. He was solid, took care of the military customers, and had the best interest of the customer in mind.Since this new management it feels like they do not care about their customers and are really taking advantage of them regarding their pricing or have no respect for the customer's time.It seems like their business practices are very unethical.Every few weeks after he brings his car in it seems to have more issues than the last. Today we dropped his car off for a tire alignment and change of air filter--we dropped it off at 11:30am. They called an hour later saying there was a laundry list of things wrong and what we were told to be $200 fix (when it was dropped off) ended up being $2,000!!We had to call at 4pm to check on it and they said to come down to get it. My partner waited until closing to get his car. There were no other cars there at all from drop off time to pick up time. This is not the first time this has happened to us.I know I'm NEVER bringing MY car there because i can't afford it. And this is the last time my partner is bringing his car there.

All of the people were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. They took the time to notice and clean out of the engine compartment and wheel wells more pine cones and squirrel items than I've seen in one place for a long time. They also noticed how badly we needed new tires and gave us a really good deal on all-weather tires and a lifetime alignment package that promises alignments forever while costing only as much 2 normal alignments. All in a very timely manner while we waited with our granddaughter.

Destroyed my dad s wheel locks, and also broke a cam adjuster while doing an alignment. The cam is understandable because it did seem rusty but destroying the wheel locks was just pure incompetence. They did fix everything, didn t replace with OEM wheel locks though. You re better off going to Tire Warehouse down the street, never had any issues with them.

I've only been a couple of times, but the main issues I have are price, and possible unnecessary upselling. For example, Firestone quoted me for work at $585, and the mom and pop garage I normally go to did the work for $325. Also, at my most recent visit to Firestone, I was told my car needed a bunch of work (almost $2k worth). I brought it to the other garage for a second opinion, and they disagreed with most of it. They also disagreed with one of the diagnoses. So I don't know if the Firestone mechanic genuinely thought I needed the work or if it was a slimy upsell (or some combo).The garage I normally go to always has such a long wait (because they are honest, competent, and inexpensive) which is why I tried Firestone in the first place. The only reason this review is not a 1 star is because the Firestone staff was friendly, and it seems like they can perform services fairly quickly. Those reasons would have me consider using them again for minor work, but it is just not worth it for anything other than that.

EDIT: New updates after going in for my next oil change. This is the worst car shop experience I have ever had. They over tightened my drain plug on my oil pan according to the next shop I brought it to , worse than I have ever seen . This may require removing the entire oil pan. For the love of god, don t bring your car hereThey have recently changed store managers. Jeff is an absolute dirtbag.I went in a couple months after getting my rear brakes done, assuming the front brakes would be replaced similarly. Jeff (the new store manager) charged me for the most expensive brake package possible instead of charging me for the same brand brakes I got in the months before.Spent weeks trying to get someone from Firestone on the phone. Nobody ever addressed the concern. There is an area manager named Patrick who lied in his notes, and kept updating my file saying my dispute was resolved. Never was addressed. I called customer service probably a dozen times.These are the type of people that give mechanics a bad name. Dirty tactics to charge more, and 0 customer service. They are unaccredited by BBB, I recently found out since I m taking my complaints there after no resolution from Firestone corporate. Absolute dirtbags all around

Scam alert! Like dealerships they use "block rates".For example: leak detection pump install- $329.Takes 5 minutes to replace (literally) and the parts $35.Go to your local mechanic! THEY PREY ON THE UNKNOWING.

Took my Wife's car here a few months back to get the tires changed. While doing so they "found" a loose tie rod on the passengers side, wanted to replace it and do an alignment. I told them I would do it myself. Well when I looked, the drivers side had the movement too. Turned out its normal play in the steering rack (older vehicle).And to top it off my Tire pressure monitoring system just stopped working, aren't they supposed to replace the battery when changing the tires? isn't that what the extra TPMS fee is for?Was my first time and last time in this shop.

Stellar service from the 2 young gentleman, Zach and Travis. Despite being young, these two men carried themselves very maturely, had the best customer service I've ever been given at any automotive shop, and were very honest and knowledgeable. I received the BEST alignment I had ever gotten on my car (22 alignments NOT including this one) and I am 100% satisfied! Thank you so much for the OUTSTANDING customer experience! I absolutely recommend this establishment and I commend Zach and Travis on their hard work!

Replaced brakes and since then it squeals when brakes are applied...no noise before...definitely noise after...had it inspected somewhere else and they showed me how the right front brake was wearing differently than the left...bringing it back to get it replaced.More information after I bring it back next Tuesday..

Might be a good place.But when I make an appointment a week ahead to check shocks and put them on if needed,I didn't expect them to say that they'd look at them within four hours and not have time to do any more.I asked for my keys and canceled after an hour and a half.

John and his team at the Somersworth Firestone are FANTASTIC. Upon arriving for a highly-anticipated vacation with my family in York, ME, our rental car blew a tire in a major enough way that it needed to be replaced. After working through the rental car company and calling a number of other tire businesses who told me they could not take me until December sometime (we were only there for 5 days), John and his team worked to order the tire and get it there the next day. And then within a few hours they had the new tire mounted and we were on our way. They could not have been more responsive and efficient, and everyone I spoke to there was exceedingly friendly and professional. Thank you for saving our vacation, John and team!!Service: Tires

I showed up with an "emergency" type issue with my rear brakes on a Sunday...Zack and Will took the car right in, diagnosed in a few minutes and fixed things right up for me. Zack took me into the shop and showed me what was going on with the car and explained "the why and the how". These guys are very knowledgeable and dependable. I highly recommend this shop. Thanks guys!

I did not have service done but a coworker brought her car in for repairs. They were completely honest and advised her the car was not worth repair. They treated this young woman with respect and honesty. Priceless

After an absolute nightmare experience at the Manchester location I took the chance to use the somersworth location. My experience was drastically different from the moment I opened the door until I left. I was greeted with a friendly smile. There was no long wait. My appointment was in time . The technicians could actually drive my manual car and not stall it (like Manchester) they were prompt and knowledgeable. Greg and his team are marvelous. They noted a pretty significant oil leak (I knew it had some leak) and educated me on the likely cause. I was able to get photos of the issue to bring to my mechanic. I was not at all pressured to seek repair there (unlike Manchester who told me I needed a bunch of stuff that I then informed them I most absolutely did not because all of that work had been done four hundred miles ago). A lot of these places see a girl walk in and think they can make some sales but I did not have that happen at all here. I am very satisfied and will be using this location again for my tire and alignment needs Very professional and courteous !Service: Wheel alignment
