I haven t even had my car worked on yet but I could tell by whoever I spoke with over the phone (maybe the owner?), im going to be taken care of and treated fairly. He s not charging me anything just to simply have my car looked at, which most places do. He really gave me some relief during such a hard time right now. Thank you so much!

In the worst part of lowel. But the man took me in right before he closed on Saturday after i had two flat tires (dont ask) idk who closes on a Saturday but was nice and took care of me in under 30mins with two new tires by himself.

Got my car inspected here. Great and quick service. Friendly staff, also right next to a coffee shop if it takes some time for your car to get fixed

Ray is the best in Salem! I ve never seen him angry or threatening towards anyone! He has always been a fair honest business man. Others claims of being locked in and threatened aren t correct! Thanks for all the great service ray!

My stepfather turned me on to these guys ovee a decade ago, i have always had a positive experience and a quick turnover, they always tell it straight. I work 700 miles away and come back to nh when i can for service and yearly inspection. Highly recommended.

I didn't have a good experience. I needed to have my engine replaced. I was told no problem, that he had something already being worked on in the shop and was waiting for parts and then could get it in to be done. The waiting for parts turned into 2 weeks. I had a lead on an engine from some place, but he recommended that i use a place he goes through because they offer a warranty. I decided to use said place even though the engine was going to cost 3x the one i had a lead on. Then mysteriously there was a problem with the price of the engine from that place and i was misquoted but was told they would still honor it. I had a big miscommunication with the delay and was told it was the delivery of my engine that was holding things up, When i called the engine place i was told that they were told not to deliver until a certain date and that it wasn't them who was holding it up. When i questioned the miscommunication i was told to pick up my truck and that it wasn't worth the hassle. I then assured him that i just wanted to know what the truth was. He was very condescending to me telling me that he did me a favor getting the specs on the engine which i already had because i called myself. He treated me like i didn't know what i was talking about. When my engine was delivered the price thing came up again and was told that i couldn't get the full warranty on it for the price i was quoted and that they would replace the engine but couldn't cover the labor that was supposed to be included. When all was said and done i was able to put about 1000 miles on it when the transmission pump was destroyed from what i was told was improper engine installation. He denies any relation of the pump to his work and blames it on previous transmission work i had done. I paid $1500 for the engine from the place he reccomended with only warranty of the engine itself, no labor, and another $900 or so for labor. I now brought the truck back in because of a ticking noise that i suspected was from the engine, and was told it was the flywheel. He told me it was broken from stress and having the pump fixed. I did ask how much that "should" cost but unless it was covered, i would be taking my business elsewhere. Update: while i dont mind him being mad about my review, he had the nerve to post my invoice with my address on it on his facebook page for the shop. I guess privacy is not at the top of his priority list, I had facebook remove it since asking him to do it went nowhere. Big surprise. EDITED TO ADD: The further repairs I inquired about was to repair the flywheel that broke as a direct result of the engine job that was done, which also led to the further work i had to have done on the transmission at a later date in time. I was told that they would not repair the flywheel even though it was their fault. I had to go elswhere to get the job done right.

******UPDATE 5/13/2019Still getting great service !*********Update 6/20/2018I gave the Escape to my GF's daughter as a graduation present, I now drive a 2012 BWM 535i with 90K, I bring it to Giuffre's and get great service at a much better rate than a dealership.*************************************************************************Update : 9/26/2017Just an FYI I still bring my car here and still get quick excellent service for a good price.**********************************************************************I drove my 2013 Ford Escape to a local *Tire and Auto place very close to Giuffre's Services to plug a nail hole in a basically new tire. After locating and marking the nail myself and leaving it there for several hours I had to call back twice to finally get someone to say they couldn't plug the tire because there was another screw in the side wall and they offered to sell me a new tire they could get in a few hours. Frustrated I rolled over to Giuffre's because I had to commute back to Maine that day. After explaining my dilemma he bumped me to the top of the list and repaired the nail puncture in the tread. When I asked him about the sidewall screw ( you don't drive on the sidewalls so I called BS on the other place already ) he smiled and said he flicked it out with his finger. I never trust the big chain service places and this was yet another reason not to . So instead of the $40-$400 it would have cost me I was back on the road with a repair that still holds even as tire is now ready to be replaced, all for about $10-$20 bucks. My boss needed some work done on his Acura and I suggested Giuffre's and he was also very pleased with the service and value.

He is an excellent mechanic. He is honest and dies not look to "upcharge" or upsell on anything like the many other places. He has corrected other mechanic's mistakes that could have cost me an ton of money if misdiagnosed.

I have brought 2 separate vehicles for multiple different reasons they kept the cost to what I could afford and was willing to work with me on payments and have always been honest with me on what they really need to have done I now live over an hour away and I still go to him

Ray will get it done, cheaper and faster than the other guys. He's always happy to show you what was wrong with your vehicle, so you know exactly what's going on.
