I just had the pleasure of buying a car from Toyota of Portsmouth. I cannot say enough good things. Jayden McPherson was my car salesman and he was such a pleasure to work with for this whole process. He made everything from start to finish a really good and smooth experience. Also the financial manager Marc Blake was seriously on top of it as well and got me in and out of there in no time. Thank you so much guys, I am in love with my car.

We had a very pleasant experience buying our new Highlander at Toyota of Portsmouth this past January. Jayden McPherson was about as low pressure a salesman as we've even met, but still extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The dealership was quiet on a Sunday and that helped the experience, too. We haggled a bit on the trade-in value but were able to come to an offer that matched the KBB price. They also worked with us by swapping out the OEM tires with our still-new snow tires at no cost, so now we have a brand new set to put on in April (and don't have to buy new snow tires for this car). I would highly recommend stopping by Toyota of Portsmouth and working with Jayden if you are in the market for a new vehicle. Definitely the best buying experience for us in a long, long time!

In regard to service, great experience. I usually work with Nick or Dave and they're both awesome communicators. They take the time to listen to what I need and would like to see done for my Tacoma through their tech specialists, who are also keen to come out and have a chat about what's going on. I've had new tires installed, promptly, and aftermarket headlights/taillights, all with exceptional attention to detail and customer service. I wouldn't want to wait in any other dealership! Thanks all.

Tom provided the smoothest trade/car buying experience my husband and I ever had. He was super nice, respectful, professional, patient and incredibly helpful. We could tell he had lots of experience and knew what he was doing. We also worked with the sales Manager, Matt who was also pretty good. These guys had our best interest at heart. We highly recommend Toyota of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Not impressed. I did my own research and price matching prior to going to this dealership. I placed what I thought to be a fair and legitimate offer. One of the folks from the back came out, scoffed, asked how I came to that price, then told us to come back when I'm serious. Very arrogant. So, the next day I went to Rochester Toyota. Great experience, ended up buying a car for less than I had offered Portsmouth Toyota. The Customer service there was far superior to Portsmouth too. Skip the hassle, and just go to Rochester.

For two years I have been searching the cause of rain water flooding my car by visiting various Toyota dealers, mechanics and auto body shops. These guys found the problem and fixed. They were very attentive and considerate of my budget constraints. Very professionals and excellent services. I recommend them. Thank you.

From the phone call asking about having new Toyota Corollas, to the purchase, and driving off the lot it was 5 star customer service. Best car buying experience I ve had and would highly recommend to anyone. I talked to and worked with Rich from sales and then Matt for the paper work and finalizing the sale. They were both super knowledgeable Rich was super helpful and went above and beyond to help us get the best rates and loan. I took my dad and grandmother with me and Matt was great going over all the paper work and answering our million questions. Before I left Rich made sure he took the time to go over all the buttons and features of the car with me. Thank you Portsmouth Toyota for all the help! I love my car and you guys really took the hassle out of buying a car!

Shopping for vehicles is not one of my favorite things to do. So many options. So many considerations. But my most recent experience with Conner at Portsmouth Toyota was seemless.Everyone was friendly ,considerate and respectful.Most importantly, my questions were answered with explainations. If I could give them 0 I would !!! The way they treat a human being trying to provide for his family and who turned down 2 jobs to go work for them.First thing in the interview Jim Boyle told me the Dealership was not sold and that it was just a Rumor and he has no intention to sell anytime soon.Hired me on Tuesday I started on wed and they let me go on Saturday. I trained only 2 days barely on their overkill software as the person that trained me was leaving for good on Friday and was the only GSM and the only person in the building that could do finance! He also had to try to train me and run the Dealership at the same time. 8 software and internet based programs when there should be no more than 4 or 5.The owner several times apologized and said I know its alot (referring to all their software programs) and I told him that i just need to figure out the Navigation part of it and it will be fine. But in 2 days of hardly any training I almost had it down and did 2 deals myself plus sold alot in warranty protection on day 2. Half of the logins they gave me did not work and if some worked they did not work properly and most of the features i needed I did not have access too! So i had to use the General Managers logins to do the deals. I was told they would fix this Monday.The owner Jim Boyle and Dan Sharpe came into my office to let me know that they were letting me go because they said that I wasn t getting it and blamed the GSM who left the job saying he said you are not getting it! and that they thought I had more experience. I have plenty of experience but used different software and i told them this before they hired me and I also told them when they fired me that they have no training at all and Jim agreed. He brought Dan Sharpe in my office to intimidate me! Which if anyone knows my background I do not intimidate easy! I still find that comical when Dan told me to leave the notebook as I was leaving. They were not pleasant! I left and called that GSM that left and he said he did not tell them I wasn t getting it! and then he proceeded to tell me what was really going on! Mr Boyle sold the dealership and was using me for 4 weeks until Mcgovern takes over and Mcgovern has their own Management. So I would have been fired in 4 weeks anyway when they took over the Dealership. I was also told by Dan they rehired a guy that used to work for them that nobody likes. And they hired someone else too. These hires are going to be fired in 4 weeks when the new owners take over. The GSM that left told me they used me and rehired people so the business wont fail in 4 weeks because they knew the software and I did not. The GSM also told me that they were still interviewing people for the job after I was hired on wed thurs and Friday while i was training.The GSM wanted to tell me so many times in the 3 days what Jim and Dan were doing to me and he felt bad. He even thought about leaving me a note telling me what they were doing to me! I have been in the Industry for many years and i have great numbers from my previous Job.(which i have in my truck and i may mail it to them) and a great reputation in this industry. Shame on you Jim Boyle shame on you Dan Sharpe for hiring me with a plan already in place to fire me! So if you are looking for a career do not look here! If you are looking for a Toyota! Go somewhere else because in a few weeks Toyota of Portsmouth will be no more. Unfortunately they messed with someone who has been in the industry along time and I will spread the word!

A Tacoma has been on my wish list for 20 yrs and then some .. I think I built the truck on the website every year so I knew exactly which one I wanted .. My goal was to have one by my 45th birthday.. December 5th I walked into Portsmouth Toyota ready Jayden came over and helped me make it all happen .. He never said no or I can t it was all positive forward motion. I gave him the exact truck I wanted and he found it .. Jayden kept great communication and checked in periodically as it took a while to show up .. The truck finally arrived! We got a flat tire while traveling through New Hampshire to Boston. It was a Saturday at noonish and The service group at Toyota at Portsmouth saved us! They could not have been kinder or more efficient. They squeezed us in with no appointment, no warranty, plugged my flat tire, rotated tires and filled all the fluids so we were good for the remainder of our trip. They did it all for $67 and did it with a smile and in under an hour!! All that wonderful service made what could have been a stressful, terrible day a very nice day indeed! Thank you again to the crew at Toyota of Portsmouth !

I have had the best experience with Toyota of Portsmouth. The customer service goes beyond expectations. Both Cassie and Marc were amazing to work with. We never felt pressured to purchase anything extra as I had experienced in the past with other dealerships. I went in with my guard up and left with it completely down. Cassie went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of in every way possible. Once we moved on to sign the papers with Marc, it was the same experience. No pressure, just a real caring person. Everything was carefully provided to us and explained. This dealership is definitely the one to go to hands down!!!

My salesman, Connor was very thorough in explaining all the features of my new car, and the loan process was very straightforward. When I had some technical issues with my apps after the sale Connor went the extra mile to help get it fixed. Everyone was very professional and helpful. I just bought a 2018 Honda Accord hybrid here. Connor was my sales rep and he is wonderful. I am a person who asks a lot of questions and he had answers for all of them. My experience at the Toyota dealership, in Portsmith, New Hampshire, was the best experience. I had, I had been to. 4 dealerships. I had a bad experience with three other dealerships, because of my credit score, it was something that was on my credit score that shouldn t of been on there which prevented me from getting a loan but they was honest with me and let me know and communicated with me. Not like the other dealerships they didn t return my calls and gave me the runaround. But my salesman, Joe took the time to listen.I knew that there was something I was trying to accomplish on my own, but if it couldn t be done that I was still going to buy that SUV call my mom and she gave me the rest of the money to pay for it out right have the other salesman took the time and went through all the steps they realize by listening to me, that my last resort was to pay for the car out, right the financial manager that did my paperwork came in on his day off to put my paperwork through I was treated with dignity and respect they both made me feel much better from what I went through for three weeks. I had to get them a Dunkin Donuts gift card just to show my appreciation. Thanks Ruthie

Called the service department for my wife who was stranded a few miles away on 95 while on vacation. Rainy Monday during lunch. Amazingly the receptionist wouldn't give up trying to reach an advisor, and the one I connected with, Nick, was fantastic. Able to squeeze us in and even secured a loaner had we needed it.

The service department is very honest and friendly. Joe was great help and even remembers my name! The service prices are decently reasonable for a dealership (for most minor services like oil change and filter changes) when I compared them to other dealerships and chain car mechanics. For more expensive service repairs like new tires or brake issues I went to a local mechanic. They often mail coupons to their customers. I have bought 4 cars through this dealership.

First, I want to thank Sean for being an actual person and answering the phone when I called. Prior to calling Toyota of Portsmouth, I had called several places and nobody would answer the phone. I saw a vehicle on carfax that matched what I was looking for. It was a car that had just been traded in, that he didn't even know about yet. To his surprise I was ready to purchase the car. In fact I did. Right over the phone.Second, I want to thank Joe for being brave enough to get in a car with me (lol), and helping my husband and I fill out the paperwork.The whole staff was awesome from the phone call the handing the keys over. They all have an awesome personality too.I'm very happy with my car (subaru legacy) and for the service they continue to give us. My husband and I live in Maine and traveled two hours because dealerships in maine couldn't give us what we were looking for and for the right price.You guys rock. Thank you!UPDATE - WHAT A TEAM! After purchasing my car in the pouring rain, I went home and found a dent in the rocker panel! Sean and his team had it fixed for me. I drove 2 hrs and dropped off my car. yesterday, I went to pick my car up after they fixed the rocker panel for me. Within 24 hours! the next day at pick up I found my seat torn! I was like, ugh, seriously right now. I went back inside and talked to someone in service who reported it to the service manager. within seconds that service manager was on the phone and was correcting my problem. if I were at Charlies in Augusta, Maine they would have blamed me and came with excuses about how it was my fault. Not this service manager! he apologized for the incident and gave me a rental car again on them. This service manager had my seat repaired in less than 24 hours! THATS SERVICE! Fast forward to pick up today. Smooth! I'm still sitting in my car writing this because I'm in shock at how they handled the situation. At charlies in augusta, maine after the sale you don't hear from the salesman. Joe has literally called me every step of the way! I cannot say enough about this team. Call and buy a car off Joe and Sean I promise you won't be disappointed. I guess if you're a tight wad and don't know mistakes happen then this isn't the place for you. I can't speak for the other reviews on this page, but I can speak for my experience. I will be back to buy my husband's truck (when he's ready) and I will be back when I'm ready to trade in my Subaru! I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart. you will forever be known to me as the dealership that answers the phone! Excellent customer sevice.

This dealership is good for routine maintenance and repairs. However, warranty issues like paint defects take forever to get addressed. I have had paint peeling off the doors on my 2017 Tacoma which is still under warranty. Getting this dealership to take care of the problem took 3 months the first time it happened and I m still waiting after 2 months for the second time it has happened. The service manager is never available to talk to about the issue and he hides behind the service reps, who just tell you they can t do anything about it.

I can t say enough great things about this dealership. Brad was incredibly helpful and made the purchase process very easy for me and I felt like I was in great hands from the start. The manager here, Marc, was one of the best sales managers I ve ever worked with at a dealership. These guys had my best interest, and I truly love my new 4 Runner! If you re in the market for a new Toyota, these guys won t disappoint! Highly recommend!!

They had exactly the car I was looking for, and Michelle confirmed availability and made an appointment for me to test drive it in the very first phone call. When I arrived, I was immediately assisted by Rich who is probably the nicest salesperson I ve ever worked with: no pressure, knowledgeable, kept the sales process flowing with ease, and most importantly, KIND. Thanks to Rich, Dan, and Marc s efficiency, I drove my new car home that day. They gave me a fair price, and Rich spent an incredible amount of time with me explaining the features of my new car so I was confident in driving it off the lot. This is how buying a car should be!
