The guys at the shop were great. They took care of me right away, and fix the problem within 45 mins of arrival. Story goes my muffler came off on 95 going over the bridge in Portsmouth. I dragged it all the way to them. I was expecting a much higher bill but they were honest and fixed only the problem. It was a clamp that came loose. I had experiences with other repair shops that did not go well.Thank you we need more guys like them out there.

What I thought would be a straight forward service ended up being way bigger news than I expected. Meineke treated me with kindness, respect, and transparency from start to finish. They even took the time to go the extra mile and chat with me about car options to research and it ended up leading me to a spectacular new car. The service on that stressful day turned me into a loyal customer!

My truck front wheel bearing failed. AAA took us to Meineke and they had us going again within 2 hours.Much appreciated.I found them to be friendly, knowledgeable and free with advice yet no pressure.And the truck is running great.

I am always hesitant and lack trust when going to get my car repaired. Portsmouth meineke has been the first place I feel confident dropping my car off at. They are transparent and stand by their warranty s. Sean is super friendly and knowledgeable to work with- they are lucky to have a positive employee like him!

The Meineke on Lafayette in Portsmouth might be the most transparent vehicle conversation I have ever had. I find the service to be excellent the work is always above average and their feedback is direct and honest. I am a multi-returning customer for car care for my older cars.

I went in for a registration sticker with my 2023 truck recently. Everything went well until I was told the license plate lights were not working. We talked about the possible solutions. We all agreed that we should plug together the two wires that were hanging. It worked! I have no idea how that happened but I appreciate the team at Meineke in Portsmouth for their great assistance.

Matt and Shawn were absolutely amazing. My wife's car failed inspection at a dealership. I got a second opinion from meinkei and nothing was wrong with the car. We saved over 500 dollars. They were honest and very dependable. These are the good guys you here about. They truly look out for you. That's how you het repeat customers and telling others to go to them.

They went above and beyond for me last week. I got a quote of over $1600 to have repairs done on my car. I called Meinekee, sean had one of his guys go pick my car up from the current place. They completed the work on my car for $700 less than what the other company quoted me. They are so friendly, honest, and very fair.

As a female, stranded hours from my home, and by myself, I was hesitant to go to any garage for emergency repairs after breaking down on I-95. I am so lucky to have found this garage!! They brought my van right in to diagnose the problem and quickly located the ruptured radiator hose, ordered a replacement part, and replaced it for MUCH cheaper than I expected. They focused on the problem and got me back on the road in no time. The guys were absolutely amazing. It felt like dealing with my hometown mechanic and working alongside my brother. They didn't try to sell me any services I didn't need or try to inflate the problem.If you're going to break down on 95, do it near Rt 1 in Portsmouth.

I drove to Meineke in Portsmouth from Hermon Maine to have them look at my catalytic converter. Shawn is the manager and he is awesome and great to deal with! Find out it wasn t my cat that was the problem but two other issues! Any other dealer would ve sold me a cat and I wouldn t have been any wiser back home in Hermon! They fixed the problems and proactively replaced my serpentine belt! The mechanic working on my car has a passion for this and it shows! If anyone is looking for honest and fair mechanics look no further than Shawn, John and the rest of the crew at Meineke in Portsmouth!! There s a reason why you guys are busy!! We've brought a few vehicles from trucks to sedans in over the years for electrical issues, inspections, exhaust, brakes, and engine related diagnostics. Very thorough, fair pricing, and great turn around time from drop-off to pickup. These guys are straight shooters and have excellent customer service.

Came in here for a battery after striking out at a few local places. The assistant manager John took the time to order me one and I was actually able to get it within a 20 minutes. Saved my weekend travel. Thanks John and Meineke, i'd recommend this place to anyone!

So went there to have my transmission hoses replaced. Ended up replacing upper right ball joint as well . So they told me after that my wheel hub assembly needed replaced on driver side because truck was humming. Note it was not humming when I brought it to there shop . So I had wheel hub assembly replaced. Still had humming, so I replaced the tires . Still humming. So come to find out humming is coming from the side they fix , replacing upper ball joint . Well they shop must off wack wheel hub assembly or something. Because wheel hub assembly is bad on that side side they replace upper ball joint . I got the paperwork from them and it doesn t say anything about bad wheel hubs . So I tried them out and don t know now if I can go back there because I have to be able to trust. So I did write a review about my experience but that was going on there word about my driver wheel hub assembly. Now knowing that s not the problem and taking it to another mechanic, to find out it was the side that the shop work on . It cost me a lot of money to come here and a lot more to leave there . Not s good feeling.

I was in a month ago for an oil cooler housing replacement. Brought it back in Friday to check on it because I thought I was losing oil. Sean and his team put it through a checkup including a due trace. Turns out everything was good, my car is just old with 155,000 mi on it. No charge for a "customer satisfaction" check.

The staff here is amazing! I had an urgent need because I was traveling with an unsafe vehicle. They made room for me and got me on my way the next day. They told me everything that was wrong with my vehicle, but did not push me to get anything fixed that wasn t necessary for a safe drive home! They even gave me the name of another mechanic to fix the other issues I have with my car. They were genuinely concerned for my safety! Top notch crew! These guys are amazing. My daughter came home for the weekend, and her brakes were squealing. I called, thinking I was going to have to beg for an appointment, but when I briefly explained my daughter was home and was having brake issues, they immediately said "you can't mess with your daughter's brakes, bring it in. Appointments usually take a week, and they took her in in an hour. I've been coming here for years and have nothing but good things to say. Amazing guys - honest and trustworthy.

I made an appointment to have my brakes checked after I had my truck inspected by our local auto repair shop. I made the appt. And went to see if it was time to overhaul my brakes. After careful and thoughtful investigation Meineke said you don t need to do anything right now come see us in the Spring. Great guys all very professional and helpful.

I can't say enough about Sean and his crew at Meineke. They are professionals who just happen to shine when it comes to customer service. They did an excellent and fast job in repairing my brakes, changing my oil, and had a quick turnaround when I needed a state inspection. They handled all 3 jobs at a very fair price, and lower then their nearest competitors. I am now taking my car to them to replace a wheel bearing. I highly recommend them without reservation. You won t wait long for an appointment . They get you right in and get the job done quickly. When I went there for new rear breaks they brought me home and picked me up when my car was done. That s above and beyond.

There s probably not a more honest, professional, and consistent auto shop in the area. They always provide excellent service but more importantly to me, they provide accurate service ie they don t do the dealership un-ethical additional charges. They service/fix what you brought the vehicle in for. They check to see if you need anything else, but if you don t, they don t upsell you with additional services/ghost repairs. If they tell you something requires attention, you can be assured it does. If another shop tells you something needs to be addressed and Sean or Chris say you do not, then you can rest assured, you do not. Their hugely positive reputation in the Portsmouth area is well known. They are an old school shop that treats you with respect, don t try fix to non -existent issues, and charge more than fair prices for issues you actually have. I am very happy to highly recommend Mieneke Portsmouth for all your vehicle repair/service needs. You will be happy you found them.

What could have been a Friday night fiasco, turned into nothing short of a miracle. While traveling south on I-95 to a family gathering out of state, my husband and I watched our car s serpentine belt tumble onto the highway. After calling several mechanic shops in the Portsmouth, NH, area, who had no room in their schedule for an emergency repair, we called Meineke on Lafayette Road. The fellow who answered the phone offered us a glimmer of hope they could help us. The owner himself replaced the belt, and about 90 minutes later we were traveling once again! We cannot thank the pleasant and knowledgeable men at Meineke in Portsmouth enough!

New brake pads and rotors, brake system flush, new drive belt and wipers - all handled quickly and professionally with full explanation of the work to be done (necessary vs. optional). Great staff at front desk and in garage.
