I just had a great experience at Skip's Garage! It was my first visit after I saw their $29 inspection special. Kelly was so kind and they have a clean waiting area. Great mechanic too! Thanks

My Response to Skip's Review Response: If your "certified technicians" are trained well-enough, they wouldn't have failed my car in the first place. You're blaming the Safelite guy, when it was your technician who told me to get Safelite to fix it. It's actually the Safelite tech that would get in trouble for drilling a hole in my windshield when the situation did not call for it.Your benefit was an easy $29 from a one-time customer. Your tech took about 10 minutes to fail me because everything else passed on a 2-year-old car.It's funny you say sorry my vehicle couldn't pass, but it passed at another shop later that same day, who also questioned why it was failed. That shop actually mentioned Skip's Garage Service and Auto Repair because your business is developing quite a reputation for failing customers for things that shouldn't be failed and this particular shop is the beneficiary.And nice try pinning it on my car for failing. It was your tech who failed here. Potential customers: do yourself a favor and try a different local service repair shop in NH not named Skip's Garage if you want honest, helpful auto service, inspections, or car service in general.Original Review: Very unfortunate situation but totally avoidable on Skip's part. I brought my car in for inspection, lovely people by the way. But their service technician failed my 2 year old car for the smallest crack in the windshield, no bigger than a half of an inch, if that. They told me to call Safelite and have it drilled/sealed and to bring it back so they could pass it.I had Safelite out within hours to repair it. The Safelite rep who arrived took one look at the crack and said he couldn't do anything since it was so tiny. He said it was only a surface scratch, and would not become any worse. He also questioned why it was failed in the first place. I called Skip's back with the Safelite guy there and the tech said he stood by his failure of the vehicle. Now I'm out the money for the inspection, and have to rush to find another place to inspect it. Terrible experience - won't be back and will let others know this is a place to avoid. It's a shame I wanted to like this place and do business here in the future but now definitely not.

Tried working with these people over many months. Due to couple unforeseen, I had to cancel. Rather than waste their time bringing a vehicle that wouldn t pass. find out that I have two recalls and tried to give a local shop the ability to help me out and support local. Unfortunately, they tell me my vehicle is now too old more or less my money Is not enough for them. I m taking my business elsewhere and I ve heard other local truck, drivers and properties are doing the same.e only reason I tried is they were so close to where I am. Jokes on them either way.

I love Skips Garage I got my car inspected there not too long ago and I was so happy it passed inspection it only cost me $29.00 I would highly recommend Skips Garage and Auto Services, Sincerely Renee Archambault such friendly staff and service if I need anything I will always take my car there

Skip's Garage provided exceptional service regarding my Ford F-350 diesel truck. My batteries were in need of replacement as my truck would not start. They accommodated me the same day I called. As for going above and beyond, they recommended a restaurant within walking distance. They picked us up from the restaurant due to a downpour (which they didn't have to do). They also recommended an air filter replacement as my old one was beyond serviceability. The people working here are professional, courteous, and proficient. I can't recommend their service enough. They have fair prices and even provided me a military veteran discount. Thanks Skip's Garage! You made a definite positive effect on me.

I had the hardest time finding a reliable and honest mechanic shop until I found skips! I always get nervous bringing my car into places just to be up charged with poor work but not here! On top of the staff being super friendly and personable, they make sure I fully understood exactly what my car needed to get done. They showed me pictures and brought me to see what exactly what they were talking about. It felt good knowing I had mechanics that cared about my car and over all safety. I HIGHLY recommend bringing your car for any of its need for a super reasonable price.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection

If you have any kind exhaust or lighting modifications done to your car or truck and need it to pass inspection - do not go here! If you know your brakes are good (have between 1/4 and 3/16 pad) left - they will fail the vehicle upon inspection and require you get new rotors and brakes pads.I was not happy with the way my inspection was performed. Not only did it take about and hour and half, I was failed in multiple points that were not safety related .I went to another shop a couple of weeks later and my truck passed with no problems.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I went to skips to have my vehicle gone through to find any issues before I started using it. Man what a mistake, they said I needed breaks and rotors, see attached photo of the breaks they said needed to be replaced. They said I may need calipers, they worked like butter, they said I had no spare tire, it was sitting in the back of the truck per the note I left. They quoted me $1800 dollars to fix my truck, I was able to fix it for $75 for an exhaust clamp and sway bar link. Do not trust them! Sketchy business practice!!! Wanted to support local business but never again! At least they got the oil change right....Below the person states the rotor was rusted out, also false there was a little surface rust from sitting during rain, once I drove it home it was gone.

Got a suggested for you on Facebook ad from skips garage back to school special oil change tire rotation multi point inspection for 46.95 great right !!Made the appointment for a Friday left on envelope call me when ready after three phone calls from skips confirming just a oil change the type of oil to be used and to be notified that my car shouldn t be driven because of dangerous tire condition so the tires were not rotated and that my low air tire pressure was on that my bill ended up being double $85 because they had to use synthetic oil. Got home with my vehicle saw that they didn t add air to said dangerous tires and didn t give me a check off sheet as to what they did for a multi point inspection other than recipt saying oil was dark and front and rear tires need to be changed. So with this being said I got a second opinion about my tires from another ASE certified mechanic that said that they would have at least rotated my tires but plan on changing them sooner versus later and would have at least made sure that all the tires had the right amount of air in them. Bottom line to my review is cheaper isn t always better in response to my review funny how you say with thirty years of experience not ASE certified nor do you say that there isn t a check off sheet that your garage provides for regular maintenance every certain thousands miles plus I never disagreed to the cost of the oil but not doing any of the said things in package very shady it s funny when you get a negative comment on your special packages you delete all the comments the truth will never hurt you I could and would have shown receipt of tires that were just put on that same car at the same time last yr it s pretty bad when I can t even give a little guy business and as far as my tires being so dangerous I ll keep you posted as to when they blow up.!!Service: Oil change

Haven t had the displeasure of using their towing services but I was behind their tow truck in Londonderry & seems maybe they drive intoxicated. Pulled out of a side road without looking to see if it was clear then proceeded to drive down the middle of 2 lanes holding up traffic instead of picking 1 lane & driving in it.

I am a loyal customer of Skips Garage. My entire family has brought their business here for the past several years, Skips does not disappoint! Everytime I have had an issue or needed maintenance done, I've been able to get my car done on the spot OR the very next morning. In the morning it is always done by 10-11AM. These people are fantastic and high quality workers. Highly recommended.

Russ was suppose to install a catalytic converter but instead replaced my muffler! $700.00 (which did not need replacing confirmed by my own mechanic)) When I reminded Russ of our conversation about the catalytic converter his reply was "I talk to a lot of people" He agreed he would try and find a less expensive converter instead of the original Quote of 900-1000 he said he found one for $350. I brought it back for that install, and was told it didn't fit but would reorder another one. Two months since this started and nothing has been done. He never admitted to being at fault, but no one quotes (900-1000 for a muffler,and goes into detail of not liking to work on turbo engines when replacing these converters,(this was at the time of my first visit) if it's a muffler you need. I'm out $700 of the $1000 I saved for the converter. I have never written a negative review on any company before until now. Get it in writing!

Great quality of work, always went here and had a great experience. Except last year when I went to get a new exhaust system put on my car I was shown how the undercarriage of my car looks and the muffler space. I was then showed a couple of different options but it would have to be ordered, I said okay. He took down my phone number and said he would call when it came in, that was last year and it never happened, no phone call. This is why I can only give this four stars instead of five. I should not have to call as a follow-up to see where my order is instead the business should be contacting me if there is something coming up as a delay or keep me informed as a customer.

Skip s was very disappointing. R put duel exhaust that I purchased for my Corvette on the car which was fine but I also bought dual tips for it and with no Warning or an explanation he just pulled my car out front and handed the lady out front a bill without putting the tips on, I just left and he explain to me over the phone after I called him back that he could not do it because it would take a special machine bender to do it and he was no one on the East Coast had one because they were worth over $300,000! . So I brought it down to lou s custom exhaust and they installed them in 20 minutes! .Service: Exhaust

What can I say about the crew at Skip's!? First, you're greeted by Amanda in the office. She's personable, professional, and a total people person! Then the boys up there handle all your needs and answer all your questions with impeccable honesty. Russ, Brian, and Anthony work hard and do it right the first time, and take pride in the work that they do! I have been using Skip's services for both my vehicles for YEARS and I've never had a problem, NOT ONE! I will personally endorse these people for everything your car or truck needs! If you're looking for an auto service that treats you like a person. Who cares about your needs and concerns, then look no further. I am a repeat customer for life, and I encourage ANYONE who is searching for the best to call them today!

You'll get incredible customer attention here. And the work detail is just as miraculous. I brought a van conversion here that hadn't been washed in nearly two years. Most of the problem was the black streaks that's caused by rain. And the hubcaps were so bad that I was considering buying new ones. Skip's garage did such a fabulous job on this vehicle that it looked like it was ready for purchase at an auto dealer. Even the hubcaps were incredibly clean -- so much so that there was no need to purchase new ones. I never heard of this company because it's new in the area. I was referred here and I'm really glad that I was told about them. They've got my business from here on. If you got a vehicle that you want reconditioned to look new again, do your vehicle and yourself a favor and go to Skip's.

Great place! Very well organized. We didn't end up having work done there. But customer service was extremely helpful in researching the issue and getting us to the right place, to get it fixed. Will definitely go back there to have work done in the future!!

They gave fair estimates and helped to reduce costs. Saved my old caliper wich saved me money. Suggested a tire store down the road. Tire store was expensive. Carried Michelin wich I have had before but with all the work being done expensive tires was not what I needed. I went to walmart and got an oil change and two tires for the price of one. The break work and exhaust work was fairly priced and quickly done.

Sal & Tom are very accommodating. They always seem to have discounts on oil changes. My usually costs approx $70 for a Subaru. Guess what ? $50/55 + tax . That's every 6 mos, so ends up regular price. Anyway, I know a man who prefers to come 20 miles.

Poor service. Truck has been there multiple times and still leaking power steering fluid. They replaced the rack and pinion and the lines. Did not leak when I sent it in the first, just blew a line. They cracked my rack and never tightened the pressure line. Littered my drive way with power steering fluid. Went back to fix it and still leaking. Also the receptionist made me feel like it was my fault and didn t want to take ownership.

Honestly disappointed. I had heard good things about this place, but I find them hard to be true. I went in with an issue and was told that there were other problems but that the initial issue should be fixed. The second I got into my car the airbag light was on and I couldn t shift my car into reverse. Two new problems that appeared immediately after. When I called and told them, I was told it was a transmission issue... When I bring it back, they then say it s one of the other problems that they stated the first time. While thinking about my decision, I get into my car and my shifter is working even worse than it was before.

I currently have a clattering, banging, popping sound in the front end. I have been in three times about the issue in the last few weeks. All three visits he was not able to duplicate sound. I went back today after a week, just prospecting, the sound has gotten worse and if he would take a ride. Flat out "No". "Take it somewhere else."I walked in there nice with zero attitude and the guy acted like a total POS.This geriatric sob, there's no way he could possibly not reproduce the symptom the last three visits and on top of that tells me to get lost.Nice way to conduct business....jackass.Service: Steering & suspension repair
