The hotel and grounds are lovely; the setting, glorious; the staff pleasant and helpful, so why 3 stars? Because it advertises itself as "pet friendly,"and while it permits pets, no one needs friends like this. And it is not only this Marriott, it is most. Start with a $150 pet charge per stay, then add a $ 20/day extra cleaning fee. You know the ad, "what's in your wallet?" Well, not much if you are a guest here, at least when it's time to pay. But that isn't the worst part. The hotel has several lovely restaurants. But if you have a dog (and they prohibit them from being left alone in your room), you are relegated to eating in their least desirable locations, always reminded that you are a second-class guest, paying first-class prices. Marriott, you can do better, but I doubt you will.

Hotel is fine but I love this free parking lot, no hassle of stress from dealing with parking attendants, easy walk to the front entrance even fully loaded with bags. Really a great part of this hotel.
