Had a good experience at Lou s custom Exhaust. I drove there in a 1988 MR2 with a after market muffler and asked when could I make an appointment and how much? They said they could do it right there in 30 minutes for $350. I thought it was a bit pricey but it was money well spent. They did an excellent and showed lots of care to the customer and the car. Was very pleased.

I've had pipes made here in the past on 2 different cars. I just had them make the pipe & I installed. Pricing was fair & pipes are still in use years later.Once again, I needed a pipe made. A simple flanged extension. They said it would be impossible to make "off the car". I explained that they'd made something similar in the past & he told me he'd been doing this 15 years & he couldn't guarantee the fit without them installing to get the correct measurements & lined up properly. (they get to charge more for labor) Once again I pointed out that I just need a straight thru flanged extension & provided the measurements. He finally said "I'll make it if you want me too..." At this point I felt if something would have turned out wrong, they wouldn't stand behind it so I simply said "no, if you're not comfortable I don't want to make you do it" & left.Not sure if there has been a management change since I was there last, but I won't be going back.Ended up going to Erick's Custom Exhaust in Merrimack. Walked in, explained what I was looking for, & 10 minutes later had the piece I needed. He even included a gasket. Installed & working perfect.

These guys are the coolest most honest guys I have met in a long time. I felt completely comfortable with them and the honest and fair business practices are what makes this place stand out! 1 yr warranty for the work and I was in and out with a repaired flex pipe in 30 minutes! Car purrrrrrs like it should again! Thanks guys! Would recommend to anyone!

Do not come here. Lou s Customer Exhaust overcharged me for a repair that ended up worse than how it started.I took my car to Firestone on Amherst street to have my car inspected, and they notified me that they could not pass the car due to an exhaust leak. They showed me where the intermediate pipe between the converter and the muffler, where it connected via a lap joint to the muffler was corroded and leaking exhaust, as well as 4 bolts that needed to be replaced elsewhere on the exhaust system. They quoted me 700 dollars to do the repair, but mentioned that Lou s Custom Exhaust on E Hollis street would likely be able to repair it for cheaper.I made an appointment with Lou s and took it down. They charged me 500 dollars for the repair. When I took the car back to Firestone for a reinspection, they said that the 4 bolts were replaced near the front of the car, but the leak (which is why it failed inspection) was still there. They passed the vehicle anyway.2 weeks later, after minimal driving (I probably drive less than 15 miles a week), I go out and start my car, and it sounds like a motorcycle, and there is also a heavy rattling noise. I get under the car to inspect my exhaust system (in hindsight, I should have done this sooner). The 4 bolts that needed to be replaced were in fact replaced, but the area with the leak looked like nothing was replaced or repaired. The intermediate pipe was completely severed from the muffler. The muffler had completely disconnected and was dangling off the hangers and rattling against the pipe it was supposed to be connected to.Lou s Custom Exhaust charged me 500 dollars to replace four bolts They did not repair the exhaust leak at all, and my car ended up in worse condition than when it started.I called and explained the situation and requested that they give me a partial refund, and they told me they do not do that . Now I have to take my car somewhere else because I do not trust Lou s and my car is broken.Be warned.

Legit the best exhaust shop. I drive 2 hours total just to see these guys. Good sense of humor, kind and professional. Prices are good too! Will only visit Nashua Lou's for my exhaust work.

Got there mid morning on a Saturday, David got my car in rather quick, found the problem, showed me and got it all fixed same day. Great customer service! Highly recommend!

Been going to Lou's for years and they never disappoint. David runs the shop there and is super cool. I called to check if he was busy. He found a window in his eye of the hurricane where he could look at my car and I zipped down. He had it on the lift in 5 minutes and fixed the exhaust in about 15. $100 bucks. Done. I like the other guy with the beard too. He looks like a badass biker, but when you talk with him you'll realize what a great guy he is. The place has such a great vibe I was kind of bummed I had to leave so quickly and get back to work.This is the place mechanics recommend for exhaust work they can't do either because they don't have the parts, or it's too much work for them to do. Nobody can touch these guys in terms of quality and price. Rock on Lou...wherever you retired to.....Service: Exhaust

I recently gave my wife s 14 year-old 2007 BMW 335i coupe a complete body makeover, including the addition of an M3 rear bumper cover with an aftermarket carbon fiber diffuser accepting four gorgeous carbon fiber-sleeved quad exhaust tips. Initially, the shop foreman didn t think that the tips I had selected would fit the opening in the diffuser, but I had taken a picture of a table top arrangement proving that they would. Admittedly, things would be tight, and it would require their best welder to create the Ys from scratch. Pete, the owner himself, created perfection in under four hours. I give this shop my highest endorsement and the pictures tell the rest of the story. Thanks for the great work guys!Services: Exhaust, Body & Trim

I really can't be too generous with my praise. They got me right in, told me straight up what needed to be done, and gave me a couple of options. Then did the work right away while singing tunes and being very pleasant. Every employee was very friendly and courteous. The guy working on my car was very efficient, and did a fantastic job.They have my business for life.

A 3 foot section of my Dodge Ram 1500 exhaust broke off and I had it dropped off at 9AM to Lou's custom exhaust in Nashua. I was told they were going to be busy and they would do what they could. Got a call at 2PM vehicle repair done and come get it, truck sounded fantastic and exhaust was hung up tight and out of site, the cost was extremely reasonable and I will return to and recommend Lou's custom to anyone in need of exhaust work.

Lou s Custom Exhaust shop did an awesome job replacing my O2 sensor (engine light) and rattling shield. Unfortunately my engine is back on but at least the rattle is gone. Thank you!

Excellent work on my car but the customer service is really bad. They are rude and scam you on the prices so make sure you go with an estimate from another place so you don t get scammed..

Guys are great to deal with, and fast doing the work. Was in and out in about half an hour, with a brand new muffler and pipe repair. My Jeep is running better than ever before . Thank you for making this an enjoyable experience.

AFFORDABLE $$$, PERFECT EFFICIENCY!!!!!Lou's Custom Exhaust repair is by far THE BEST around for ALL THINGS EXHAUST. I have been coming here for years for a variety of problems from an array of vehicles. Their expert mechanics are very diligent, intelligent , and thorough. The service is always exceptional and uncomparable to all the other Joe Shmoes and Tom Fooleries in the area.There's no pusssy-footing or loligagging around. They take pride in their craft and in shows in their work and personalities!!!!!!!. No up selling unless its a vital repair!!!!In the past I've had an entire exhaust replacement, muffler and flex pipe replacement, a small pipe in my exhaust manafold that other local shops estimated 1k + LOUS REPAIRED AND SAVE ME 900$,heat shield work, and this most recent was a spring a bolt and a fusion between two pipes.I always reccomend Lous Custom exhaust for ALL THINGS EXHAUST. Thank you so much Dave @ Nashua location. When the Subaru dealership wanted to charge me $599 to replace the resonator pipe for a rattle I was having. Brought it to Lou s and it s not even the resonator pipe at all, only a loose heat shield. And he showed my husband where the resonator pipe was and that wasn t even the area I told Subaru the noise was coming from. Thank you Dave you could have easily just lied and charged us money to fix something that didn t need fixing. You were honest and because of that any exhaust problems I have in the future Lou s has my business and I will definitely recommend Lou s to friends and family members!Service: Exhaust

Lou's in Nashua is great! Have brought them several vehicles. Always fast and always friendly. Today for instance, I knew I had 2 exhaust leaks. I pulled up, told them the problem, they pulled the truck in cut out the problem areas, welded in new pipes and I was gone in 45 minutes. No appointment! Mind you, sometimes you would need to make an appointment, but today could not have gone better.

My car failed an inspection due to an exhaust problem, and the dealership recommended talking to Lou's in Nashua. I made an appointment for Friday morning, and they were able to accommodate me easily. Staff was friendly, and service was super quick; from being put on the lift to the repair being completed was only 9 minutes. Repair was solid and the price was about 10x less than I would have paid for the dealership to fix it. I would definitely recommend these guys.

Came in for an estimate and left with the repair for a very reasonable price. Was getting quotes from other places for a great deal more money. Lou's was affordable and professional, not to mention quick. I was out of there in less than 20 minutes with the repair completed. Definite go to if you are looking for great work, honesty and a fair price. I showed up first thing Saturday morning with an immediate need, but without an appointment. John was amazing, did a quick estimate so I knew what to expect and said they were all booked up, but would do what they could before they close at noon - but set the expectation that Monday morning was more likely. 1130 and John calls me to let me know they were wrapping up the job. Unbelievable. And it needs to be noted that his quick estimate was exactly what I paid. Highly recommend.

If you need anything exhaust related don't go anywhere else. These guys are great at what they do and honest.I thought the worst for my exhaust system when I went there and I explained it to them it's a car with a lot of miles and I don't want to put a lot of money into it.Within 5 minutes they had it up in the air and showed me that it needed a resonator and a flange.I was told by another shop it needed a full exhaust system which would have cost me about 800.00 and I need to leave it for the day.The guy a Lou's showed me what needed to be replaced and said they could cut out the bad areas and replace them for 300.00.I said to go ahead and do it. 15 minutes later my car was done and sounded great.I walked in at 11 on the dot and I left at 11:25. No exaggerating they literally had me out in less than a half hour.These guys have a great reputation and it's for a reason. Don't go anywhere else because you will regret it.

The work was okay and the guys were respectful. But for what ever reason they were determined to charge me $300.00 dollars for a simple exhaust leak. When I brought my vehicle in they looked at it and quoted me $200.00 then mentioned that my spring bolt kit needed to be replaced and said they could replace that for another $100.00. Having worked in multiple shops I knew the spring bolts weren t worth an extra 100 bucks, and we agreed that I would bring in my own spring bolts and he would just install them. However I did forget to get a donut gasket and they charged me an extra 100 for that! I payed and didn t argue because I m a decent human being unlike them... but I hope that extra $100.00 dollars of greed was worth it because they will never get another penny out of me or anybody that I know as long as I can help it. I know many other shops that are much more honest. They were just busy and it s my beater. I would never trust my daily with these liars.Service: Exhaust

Awesome, very friendly service, and great work. I just moved in from out of town, and needed custom work done to my exhaust in order to pass inspection. As soon the as I arrived, the guys pulled my Jeep right in and knocked out the work in no time. The work was done exactly to my request and expectations, at a very fair price.Five stars...I d recommend them to anyone.

Watch them while they work because they will do dishonest work. I was 16 at the time I had them do some exhaust mods. Had them take the catalytic converters out and then they told me they're keeping them and argued with me about that. After they welded the pipes in place, while the car was not running and on the lift they "tested for leaks". All around disappointed with them. Called here to get a price quote on some exhaust work on my car. I spoke with Lenny, who gave me a quote that was about 2/3rds of what I was going to pay at another place. They were pretty busy (only two guys on that day) but squeezed me in for an afternoon appointment. The tech had my car on the lift in about 15 minutes and had the repair done in about another 15 minutes. Lenny charged me what he quoted me on the phone (no hidden "shop fees" or other surprises).Now for the bad news. This place doesn't have free coffee or tea (at least not that I could see). They don't have a huge TV where you can zombie out while you're waiting for your repairs. I'm not even sure if they have AC but I didn't feel hot while I was waiting so maybe they do. They have a small TV behind the sales counter where you can watch some Springer if you're so inclined. They don't have a large, pristine sales floor. In other words, this is a low overhead operation. Personally, I'd rather have them keep the overhead low so you're not paying inflated prices.In sum, this place is an old school exhaust repair shop run by good, hard working people who won't try to rip you off. This will be the first place I'll call if I need exhaust work done in the future.

This place is the best in the area for exhaust work! Called for an appt to have a section of exhaust replaced on my F250 pickup. They fit me in that day, cut the old pipe out, welded the new pipe in, and salvaged my muffler, all while I waited. Two weeks later my older brother, who has been a welder and body mechanic for 40 years, took a look at the welded section and admitted that the kid that did the welding (I think his name is Dave) was a better welder than he was. He was very impressed. Nice people; very fast and accommodating; excellent work; and reasonably priced. What else can you ask for?Service: Exhaust
