Mike at Hanson's runs a great shop. We bring all of our vehicles here for any mechanical service or preventative maintenance. The repairs are done timely, and appropriate updates are given along the way. Prices are fair, and the new invoice system makes your bill readable and informative. These guys go out of their way for their customers.

After many years of searching I have found a true trustworthy mechanic in Nashua who is fair and knowledgeable. I almost don't want to write a review and keep them all to myself, but if this blurb will help keep them in business for the next 20 years and operate as they have, maintaining their current standards, then it will be well worth it.

I just swung by here asking the receptionist what it would take to get a couple pumps of grease in my easily accessible upper control arm zerk grease fittings. (I just noticed they were dry and I'm visiting family in the area and didn't have my grease gun with me.) She relayed the question to the mechanic and came back to tell me they flat out couldn't do it.In disbelief, I left and went to Advance Auto Parts down the street and spent $26 on a new second grease gun. It took longer to unbox the grease gun than actually adding grease to the zerk fittings themselves.thanks for reminding me people "flat out" suck.v/rNathannice guypurple heart recipient

This shop is fantastic. I went to have them check out my truck. I thought perhaps my wheel bearing was going in my rear wheel. They took it in right away and checked it out. Honestly they could have said anything was wrong with it and I would have just accepted it and paid to fix it. However they were honest and let me know there was no issue. I am so pleased with the honesty and integrity of this automotive shop. I will definitely be using thier services in the future. This place is honest. Don't go to the big chains that just want you to fill a quota and charge you minimum of 1500. They worked with us and the part we brought. We told them our price limit and they stayed well within it. Give them a call. If there is a waiting period, it's well worth it!!

Awesome place run by awesome guys. Got me in quick, completed the repairs even quicker and even helped me out free of charge when I had a tire leak later on. Super helpful and their quality of work is excellent. They made sure my car was taken care of and they were able to work around my hectic work schedule. They explained how to operate the part they installed on my car and they were extremely kind. Highly recommend!

I ve been going here for 18 years and have never had a bad experience! The new manager is the nicest and will try his hardest to help you out. Great staff, great service. I started going to Hanson's in 1986 based on the recommendation of a friend. We still go there and so do our adult children. They have always been honest and do good work for a reasonable cost.

Best mechanics in Nashua, hands down. Skilled staff, friendly, reasonably priced for what you get, and above all honesty.Update: the founder has retired, but the new owner had retained the mechanics and seems to be doing well. I have been there twice since the turnover and while I miss Dennis I have been happy with the service. The prices seem higher though.

My had a late model car with engine problems and with the high prices of used cars I thought I could extend the life of my car. Mike and his team spent much time and diligence to rehab my car to extend the life of my car. Discussed a misfire issue before bringing car in, he even gave me some tips to diagnose the issue myself to make sure it wasn't a simple fix to save me a trip. He was honest, scheduled a drop off within 4 working days and after looking at the issue worked out a good price and got the car fixed same day. I'd return for more work on my 2011 Outback if anything else needs fixing.

The most honest repair shop hands down Mike super nice guy but most of all knowledge A* service. Friendly. Informative. No price gouging. If they think you should go someplace else for a special problem, they will recommend a reputable place. They went out of their way to help me, and probably would for you too!Edit: needed another part fixed, and Mike(who you will probably be dealing with) shipped around for me, for the best price. Flexible and friendly with arrangements for drop off/pick up. If I could give more stars, I would.

The new owner is polite, respectful, and seems knowledgeable about the auto repair business. They also were able to accommodate me into their busy schedule on short notice.However, I was charged about $90 for sightly less than twenty minutes of troubleshooting as to why my check engine light was on. The fee wasn't for a computer diagnostic. They just checked a few basic things and reset the computer. Two days later the light came back on. Based on their testing, what I was charged, and the result, I'm going to bring my vehicle to another repair shop.

Mike is seriously one of the most genuine people I've met. He fixed my 08 Ford Taurus and gave me an AMAZING deal on it. Only mechanic that I can truly trust and I won't be going anywhere else. Thanks Mike!

Their lot is full of cars -> good indicator that they're a trusted/busy crew.I had a state inspection here, and they didn't try to upsell me anything. They were honest, helpful, and I felt comfortable having a conversation with the folks here, as in I didn't feel like they were being driven by sales commissions to deceive me and whatnot. Turns out that I needed some minor work on my exhaust, and the mechanic recommended a local shop unaffiliated with Hanson (but from my impression, a trusted or reliable referral). Keep in mind, I believe they could have also done the work themselves, but I'm new to NH, so they didn't want me to be stuck leaving my car (without having a ride home) and having to wait for them to repair the damage themselves.Highly recommend this shop based on this experience, and I'll be sure to keep them on the top of my list for when I need car-mechanics advice or service.

Honest mechanics, very friendly, amazing service. They know me well and have been taking care of our cars for years. Will always disclose if something is "worth fixing", and have prices that aren't jacked up. Love Dennis, Jay, and the whole gang!

I only bring my car to Hanson's - I have been going there for the past 14 years! He and the staff are honest and will take care of you! I highly recommend Hanson's to anyone wanting their car fixed at a great rate with honest, hard working people! Keep up the great work!

This place is amazing. One of those places that doesn't need to advertise because the word of mouth business just keeps coming. (a co-worker told me about them). Very honest. They tell it like it is, they use recycled parts (if you want them to) and they don't try to get you to do anything you don't need to. Really good with prices too! Busy but I've always been able to get my car in when I need it. Great place.

After many years of being disappointed with stealership service departments focused on making money over honest service, I went back to Dennis. Dennis and his crew are the nicest bunch of guys in the auto repair business. Dennis is honest, fair and will never try and up sell a service your car doesn't need. He's a dying breed of independent mechanics who believes in taking care of the customer and not just focused on making more revenue every year. All you have to do is look at the parking lot of his shop....it's always full and he's always busy!

I lived in NH for about 8 years and always used Hanson's. I'm not knowledgeable about cars so a mechanic can rip me off if they want to. With Dennis, I never had that concern - The bill was always less than I was afraid it might be, and on more than one occasion they made a small repair or correction and didn't charge me at all.I recently moved to southern Florida and the last thing I did was ask Dennis to look over my vehicle and make sure it would safely get me 1800 miles in 72 hours. He found two things he felt were worth correcting, and the car performed flawlessly despite being 15 years old.I can't imagine what qualifications a shop would have to offer that would make them better than Hanson's. Five stars, and all the personal recommendation I can offer.

Love, love, love this place. We have been going here for over 20 years and through 2 owners. Both great, fair, excellent mechanics. I would never take my cars anywhere else.

After a bad experience at Sullivan (see my review in my contributions), I came here to have my Hyundai Elantra 2008 back brakes (pads and rotors) replaced. Hanson's quoted me around $300 for the job. They finished the job the same morning I dropped it off, and the total cost ended up being much less than their estimate at $239.95, which is $137.07 less than what Sullivan charged for my front brakes. Needless to say, I am happy. The guys I met at the shop all seemed professional and honest, and Dennis (the manager) has a very kind demeanor, and was a pleasure to meet. As I left the garage, everything seemed in working order. I will definitely be doing my repairs here again.

Just went in at 8am for an inspection Mike took care of me right away in and out 10 mins i didn t even had an appointment best part about it all these guys are actually car guys and love cars as a hobby as much as I do and sometimes it s hard to get a place to do inspections on our cars I ll be for sure coming back when ever I need help on my project car thanks again Service: Vehicle Inspection

I took my 2006 Saturn Vue here to Hanson's for repairs 2 times and had a bad experience on both occasions..The first time I brought my Saturn here was for a bolt replacement on the K-frame part of the SUV, as well as a throttle body cleaning. I was told that I need to drop off the SUV at 8:00am, so I did just that.. I also informed the owner Dennis that I would need a ride back home , as I have handicap disabilities and can't walk far.. Well when I got there I was told no one could give me a ride home, so I had to walk 2 miles back to my house in sub-zero temps..So now it was about 2:30pm and I had not heard anything yet about my SUV, So I called there and the son Dave answers and I asked him nicely if he knew when my SUV would be ready. In a condescending way towards me Dave said that if I'm on the phone with you , how can I work on your SUV.. That was out of line.So finally around 4:00 I got a call that my SUV was ready. I then I had to walk 2 miles again to go and get my SUV. While the bill was low, I was left upset and angry that I got treated the way I did with empty promises and a condescending attitude.But wait there is more.. So I am driving and I feel this long metal rod / bar at my feet that hit the gas pedal as I was driving, so I pulled over. They left a long steel crowbar on the floor next to the gas pedal... That was a very dangerous and careless thing to do. I told them they left this in my SUV, but did not say much other than thank you for bringing our crowbar back.Now for my second visit, I just wanted them to find why my SUV was making so much engine noise while idling since I last brought my SUV in a week prior, so I had them check it. They said I had noisy lifters and that a new oil change with Lucas Oil Additive would quite it down. So I had them do it. For the record, this time I got a ride to and from their workshop, and was happy with the price.Then a few days later , I notice a smell what appears to be exhaust fumes coming into the cabin of my Saturn SUV. So I called Hanson's and they told me it could possibly be oil burn off when they changed the oil. Well the smell of exhaust fumes was becoming more noticeable as I was starting to get dizzy from the fumes, so just for kicks, I opened the hood while the SUV was running, and noticed a rubber hose that was unlatched to to the filter and throttle body assembly. It turns out that one of the mechanics forgot to attach & clamp down the hose when the put it back together when I had service their the first time.I called the owner Dennis and told him the story and he really did not seem to concerned. They did put the hose back on and clamped it down.Bottom line is that I should not have had to go thru ALL of these problems. I chose Hanson's because of all the positive reviews. Well I did not have a good experience them 2 times I brought my SUV there. I will not be returning there anytime soon. I gave the benefit of the doubt the first bad experience I had, but after the 2nd time, that was it. I usually right alot of positive reviews, but this time I have to be honest and give Hanson's a 1 star rating. Too many mistakes, and the condescending attitude towards me from Dave was really hurtful and the last straw.
