In December car was misfiring. Brought it to Gurneys. Rather than changing spark plug (#3 misfire) they changed ignition coil. OK. Fine. More than I was expecting to pay OF COURSE. Also had oil change and tires rotated and balanced. Barely a month later ABS sensor is on. I figured I d bring it back to Gurneys to check sensor because they HAD JUST worked on it. Of course it s the sensor BUT the axle is also rusted they say needs to be replaced (they didn t see this four weeks ago)?1300 dollars please. Just replace the sensor. They don t recommend that. Then don t do anything, I said. I picked up my car and the right light parking lamp is suddenly malfunctioning. Really? I gave Gurney s a chance but I can t recommend them. Here s a hint. Help the customer. The world is only getting more expensive.

I m a bit disappointed. Had an appointment that we called in for 4 days early and when we dropped it off at 9am, was told it should be ready when we got out at 3pm. Never heard from them all day so we figured it was done and they just never called us. About 4pm we went to check on it at the address and noticed it had not been moved from where my boyfriend parked it (at 9am) 7 hours earlier. (He remembers the first spot right up against the curb with snow) We went in to check on the status and was told it was in and out of the shop. I said no, it had not been moved and pointed to the vehicle in the parking lot. The lady at the counter said it should be ready before close. I asked what time do you close? She informed me 5:30. I m already aware they are not open on weekends which is a bit odd I feel, so I know if they can t get it done in a hour and a half we would be stuck without a car all weekend. So I called at 5:20pm to check the status because it was almost closing time and she then informed me it just got done. I m not sure I believe that 100% due to no calls all day. Mind you, if the job took 1.5 hours why was it not done after dropping it off for 6 hours the first time? With no update calls or anything. Mind you, it was an appointment and still was not done upon or after the time we were given. So a easy tire rotation job took 8 hours and 30 minutes. And if I didn t call at 5:20 I wouldn t have been able to pick it up. They don t give correct timing and don t do update calls to inform you it would have to stay over the weekend due to them not getting the car in the shop upon your appointment. Not very professional. All this and after I heard all good things and was recommended to them. First time there and I don t know if I could recommend them to others.

Pricier than most mechanics, but you get what you pay for. This was my first time at Gurney s but I was well informed about all sections of my inspection with pictures. This is a very professional Mechanic. Highly recommend.

This business is one of the best in Nashua. They are friendly and courteous. They keep in touch and let you know what is up with your car and recommendations. Their pricing is very fair also.

If you re looking in Nashua for a place to get an inspection, I highly recommend this place. Everyone was great, they gave me a detailed review of the report (with photos), and all around it was a very pleasant experience.

Excellent, fast service. State inspection is cheaper than advertised if you give them your contact info, and didn't fail for any un-necessary workState inspection took a little less than an hour, and they have free Wifi and a nook to sit & work in.10/10, will definitely be coming back here again next year!

I have tried Gurney's multiple times. On one occasion they gave me a long list of repairs that I couldn't afford to pay them for. Over time I had many of those items repaired before returning to their shop. After initial inspection upon return they told me the car needed some of the repairs that had already been completed. When I called them out on it, they said they would have seen that it had already been done when they went to do the work and they wouldn't have charged me. I'd like to believe that, but it is hard to know what would have been. Later I took my diesel truck there for injector issues and a turn signal that was blowing a fuse. They were unable to solve either issue and charged me for many hours of diagnostics. Then when I went top pick up my truck, they had left the map light on and my batteries were dead. Now they have allowed me to schedule my truck for repairs but are refusing to work on it. First because it was my truck, then because someone else has worked on it.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

You can always trust Gurney's to do your car right. They may be more expensive than other car shops, but it really depends on how much value you place on the job being done correctly. Gurney s is my family s automobile service center of choice. Reliable, dependable and fair. Pictures are worth 1000 words I have been told and those are supplied along with all findings good or bad. Whatever your vehicle is, the service is top notch. They get all our vehicles from our 2013 minivan up to our 2005 Roush. Trained mechanics. This was the best experience I have ever had at any repair shop. Gurney s sent me a full report with pictures and videos detailing everything they found wrong with the car. They provided a list of all the systems that were working properly, and some suggested maintenance. They did it all within less than 24 hours of me towing the vehicle in.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

I used to think the former Bob's Tire was the best auto maintenance business in Nashua. But since Bob's closed and we've been using Gurney's I've been delighted with their excellent service, customer friendly staff and their kind reminders to take care of filters I never knew I had, a battery that is ok but not optimal, and tires that will need replacing after this season. For those of us who are not mechanically minded, they are a godsend.Services: Tires, Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection

Pretty expensive compared to other shops in the area. The amount of time they put in to do a job seems longer than what would be customary. When I asked about it I was told they use shop rates. You will be paying dealership service prices to do a job, and not the actual time it took to do it. The mechanic that worked on my car used the right tools to troubleshoot the issue and came to the right conclusion. He wasn't just swapping out parts trying to figure out what it was. Staff seems pretty friendly. I use Gurneys when I have a problem that I think would stump other mechanics. If it's something where I know what needs to be done I'll call them, but they are always significantly more expensive than the rest. If they were in the ballpark I would use them more because I feel they have some skilled mechanics.

A nail had punctured my tire and I went over to the auto shop I have been using for 6 years. They would not take my truck in for 2 weeks! I was flabbergasted by this, so I went to Gurneys for my first visit ever. I was expecting 1-2 days as I know most places are busy. I dropped the truck off and got a ride back home (super convenient to have the shuttle available). 2 hours later they called and told me it was done also they saw my registration sitting on the center console and asked if I wanted them to complete it while in the bay!? Heck yes! A business that actually pays attention and goes the extra mile, LOVE IT. Just brought our Camry into them and they went the extra mile again with that. I try to run my business like this and know how hard it can be. Kudos to Gurneys and their staff. Thank you.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Amazing first time experience with Gurney's. Had my truck towed in after my engine blew. First, their customer service was top notch. Every person I spoke with went out of their way to be friendly and make sure I was happy. I agreed to have them put another engine into the truck. They completed it on time and slightly under budget. Fast forward 3 weeks and I received a call from them telling me that they had charged me for a part they didn't end up needing and were issuing me a refund for it! Safe to say 99 out of 100 other shops never would have called back and done that. Thank you Gurney's! I'll be back!Service: Engine repair

Customer Service always goes above and beyond! I always feel safe after getting my vehicle back from Gurneys. So glad we made the switch. They try to get you rightin even if you need something in a pinch! They give you the greatest experience throughout your whole visit! The owner even reaches out to make sure you had a good experience the day after your service. Top notch!

Quick, friendly place. Their prices are very fair and they took very good care of my car. Very informative through the entire process, they send you a condition report going over everything they checked on your car. Plus every 5th oil change is free. Would definitely recommend this place to others, and will definitely be back!

Sandbaggers! By that I mean they always underpromise on how soon your car work will be done and impress you by getting it done way sooner than you'd expect. I appreciate the pleasant surprises. Maybe not so much now but it's still awesome.I take both of my cars here for everything.As for the actual work, Guerney's is very thorough and super organized. You get a very detailed report of the work with pictures (!) which is very well explained. If you have a question, you can call the service support personnel who seem very knowledgeable and care about your car without pushing unnecessary work. I also like getting report on items that may need attention so you can plan for it rather than finding out at the worst time. The staff at the counter is also excellent and shows genuine care. They appear to enjoy their job. Been in a chain service store before? Then you know what I mean.

Gurney's set another record! I was in and out in record time, and at a fraction of the cost of what the dealer charges. I love their family atmosphere...you get the sense that they really want to help and not focus on corporate profits. We have three cars that use Gurney's.Highly recommended!July 2023 EDIT:Apparently I can't leave two reviews, so I am amending this one. Another great job by Gurney's in Nashua! Whenever I go there I am treated like I am part of the family. I don't get that vibe from any other repair shop.Special shoutout to Ryan who went above and beyond the call of duty.Contuned 5 stars rating!

Gurney's Automotive Repair of Nashua is of the most detail oriented and professional full service auto repair businesses I have ever used.The greeting of each individual customer is met with a refreshing hospitality which is noteworthy. Had a fantastic experience with this garage! Cannot say enough good things about them. They were professional, courteous, and informative. I was nervous bringing in my car to them, thinking it would cost me minimum $1500 for repairs, but it was only a fraction of that! They sent me a detailed report of what needed to be repaired (which I have never received from any other garage), and were even nice enough to text and call me when the repairs were done. I would highly recommend this garage to anyone.
