A pleasant experience with getting all my questions answered and squared before purchasing the vehicle that I had my eye on. Both Tom and Oscar made me feel at home while working on the different option plans. Was very happy with the results that were presented to me And I'm so thankful that they are continuing to help me with anything that comes up

I guess better late than never I saw some familiar storys on this place so i would like to add my piece. Around 6 years ago i was limited on funds and brain cells and stumbled into to this place to find a car. First red flag was the older gentleman helping me could not be bother seemed everything I said was waisting his time. Second red flag when I went to purchase the car I was told I needed cash and could not use a card. When I told him the bank was closed and I couldn t take that much out of my atm he looked me in my face and said well you want it or not I don t care. Third red flag was 20 minutes after leaving the lot my check engine light came on for a evap leak(which it did have). I called to try and resolve the issue and was told that it s probably a lose gas cap and is the check engine light really a big deal for me. The answer was yes it was a big deal because I put every penny I had to get the car let alone repair it immediately after it was inspected (road worthy) by them. I can understand not wanting to put possibly 1000 into a car I bought from them for 2500 but the real problem is they shouldn t have pushed a lemon out the door to a customer just to avoid a loss. I know how these places work they glue together a car they got for 500 and sell it for 2500 its the name of the game but the problem was never resolved.Fast forward 2 years later I buy another car from them because I didn t learn my lesson the first time. Within a week I realized that it had a massive oil leak that would cost me over 1000 to fix. 400 for the part alone. I called and explained my issue and was told they would buy the part for me which they did but did not repair the vehicle because they wanted to charge me to fix a car they should have fixed before even selling it to me. End of the story every time I drive by this place it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I hope no one else gets treated like this because they are young or don t have the money to back it up.

We purchased a beautiful truck from Horseless Carriage a few months ago (2022). Nick was true to his word & any little thing we needed for the truck was taken care of. Even 4 weeks after purchase we told Nick about the rear window not opening using the rear switch. He repaired it without charging us a penny! We are so impressed with the honesty & integrity of Nick & his crew that we now take all our vehicles to them for all our car needs from inspection to repair. It's great finding an honest, small, used car place we can trust. Our college boy is now in the market for his first car, we'll be going to Horseless Carriage.

They sell vehicles with an inspection sticker when in reality it wouldn't have truly passes inspection. My lawyer will be in touch when they're done investigating. Respond if you feel to try to keep your fake good reputation up but at the end of the day you know the truth

Stand out service, just absolutely impressed with horseless carriage. Went in because the tire shop said, they won't do my alignment because of the extensive amount of front end work I needed. So I brought it to horselss and had three items quoted and explained my situation. After a few hours my van being in the shop, the mechanic calls and tells me, I can't find anything that should be replaced!! Honesty like this, is just so rate, I was very pleased!

I've bought many vehicles over the years and this was one of the best experiences of them all. From walking in to take a look and test drive, to signing the final papers and driving away, I was always met with friendly faces and professional service. Nick went above and beyond to make sure the pre-owned vehicle I bought was safe and reliable for my son. And I was pleasantly surprised when he fixed things I didn't even realize needed to be fixed, which I'm quite certain just saved me money down the road. Fair prices and above average service. I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a pre-owned vehicle. 5 stars without hesitation.

Recently purchased a vehicle from Jim & Nick @ Horseless Carriage and hands down this was the best buying experience I've ever had in buying a car. They have buy here pay here and they are men of their word! They marked the price wrong on my car and it didn't have a warranty but originally said it did. When i was signing my paper work they still gave me a the 90 day warranty. If you want a reliable car from a honest hard working business then go to the Horseless Carriage. You won't regret it!

Super happy with my car shopping and buying experience. No high pressure sales, they were honest about issues with the car before the purchase AND committed to fixing them. That's exactly what they did with no drama. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good deal on a used car.

Recently purchased a used vehicle here, nothing but good things to say. Nick & Melissa were very helpful during the process and took care of everything I asked to be done to the car between the test drive and picking up for purchase. No complaints from me, I would not hesitate to purchase my next vehicle from them.

I drove home my "new" used car today and I absolutely love it. They were so easy to work with. They aren't pushy and dont try to pressure you into buying anything. They make the whole process of finding a used car stress free. I would recommend them to anyone and if I'm ever in the market for another used car, I will be checking their inventory first. If I could give more stars I would. Thank you Horseless Carriage from a very satisfied customer.

I was on a drive with my husband, 6 year old and 3 year old when our rental car's check engine light came on with the oil symbol. We were in the middle of nowhere and pulled over at the Horseless Carriage Used Car business, feeling worried. A very nice man with a dog named Maggie came out and helped us. He looked at our car and helped us out by giving us 5 gallons of oil - on the house! - just to be a good Samaritan. We were so grateful and relieved. We got home safely and I want to thank him and tell you to please use this business. I was not expecting that kind of old-fashioned service and kindness. We will pay it forward.

I just bought a truck from them and it was a great experience. I walked in very hesitant because I had gotten a used vehicle somewhere else 2 months prior and died a month later. Nick was very good to me and was meticulous in going through his vehicles. I highly recommend horseless carriage to anyone.

I have been buying cars for myself for over 45 years from many different dealers and was amazed at at the level of attention and the service at the Horseless carriage, and all without any of the usual sales pressure . They answered every question I had to my satisfaction. After the purchase they went to put some gas in it and the check engine light went on so they diagnosed the problem and then they expediently got the parts and did the proper repair. And they also provided a loaner car to get me around until everything from sales to repair was done. ( replaced a O2 sensor and coil pack. ) The Ford Escape was a great purchase at a fair price and exceeded my expectation. I couldn't be happier.

I love these guys. They are the most honest hard working mechanics I have ever dealt with. I bought a used car from them for my16 year old son and it runs great. I had one problem where the window motor on the drivers side needed replacing when it died after I only had the car for about a week. The manager, Nick, ordered me a new window motor and installed it, all free of charge, even though I had purchased the car from him in "as is" condition. He refused to let me pay anything, stating that the car was just recently purchased and therefore he was going to warranty the part for me, regardless of it being bought "as is".He put the new window motor in a couple of days later, while I waited. Great shop, great staff and all highly knowledgable mechanics. I wouldn't go anyplace else for any of my car needs. I highly recommend this place to anybody who is looking for highly qualified, honest mechanics , I have highly recommended this shop to all my family and friends already, and of those of them that have had the need to use them, I have been told by them that they cannot thank me enough for recommending The Horseless Carriage in Milford to them.

Brought my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Bonneville Jeep and was quoted $2,500 for repairs necessary for inspection. A friend recommended the Horseless Carriage in Milford. The guys were awesome to deal with and completed the work for less than $500. Everything was thoroughly explained. This local shop does great work and would recommend them.

Nick noticed that the front tires on the car we were buying would just barely pass inspection. He put on a new pair at no extra charge. The car was ready to pick up on the day chosen with no problems. Great experience.

I had bought a used car recently from them about a month ago. Even though they normally charge at least $500 for down payment, they let me only pay $300 because that was all I had. It was also completely refundable if I decided to change my mind. They also made sure that the car was fully functional before selling it to me. The car also came with a 20 day temporary plate. Earlier this week my car broke down and we decided to call them up. They offered to fix it at no charge and gave us the number of a man who could tow it up there. Little did we know that the entire transmission needed to be replaced (which is roughly a $1200 job). They kept their word to completely repair it for free. I'd recommend this place to anyone

I must start out by saying, if you are in the market for a used car or truck stop in at Horseless Carriage. They have a great selections or used car and trucks!! The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable and can help you with pretty much anything you may need. A few months ago I bought a 2005 Nissan Titan from there and just recently had starter issues. Nick and the team at Horseless carriage completely took care of the issue at no cost to me. This was a huge shock to me! Nick was true to his word if there ends up being anything wrong with it, please bring it back and will take care of you I would highly recommend you making your next vehicle purchase at Horseless Carriage, or atleast looking at their great options!! I am satisfied 100% !!

It is so refreshing to find an honest automotive car dealership and garage. My long time mechanic retired, and the thought of finding another great mechanic for my Benz terrified me. These folks came highly recommended and, after my first service visit, can understand why!! Look no further if you live in the area, Horseless Carriage should be your first stop when looking for used cars, or A+ plus service!! Thanks to all the folks at Horseless (and let's not forget Agita too!!) ......:)

I purchased a 2008 Nissan Versa about 2 months ago. It is a low pressure environment and the salesman worked with me to get me my car. Within a week, I noticed a slight issue, I brought the car in and was told when the clunk gets worse to bring it back and they would fix it. I just called them bc the clunk is worse and once again, super friendly and accommodating. The problem will be fixed and I will once again leave there as a happy customer.

I just purchased my third car from Horseless Carriage, all Toyota hybrids -- two Priuses, one of which is mine, one of which is my daughter's; and one Highlander, which is my wife's -- and all of us couldn't be happier. Nick, Gary, Dave take great care of us. They are conscientious, they are friendly and they clearly know what they're doing. I constantly recommend Horseless to friends and I recommend it to anyone.

A bad mechanic cost us loads of money because work as simple as an oil change was billed but not done. we switched to Horseleses and now both cars are on the mend and for a lot less money. Nick and Robert are always welcoming and sympathetic to anyone whose car is costing them money. Ever notice, the moment you think you might have a little extra money, your car seems to know?

My husband brought in our car for service and was told would be a day or 2 no big deal. The next day I was at the grocery store and saw my car at VIP in Milford. Apparently 90% of the work we pay Horseless carriage to do they subcontract out to another shop and don't tell you. If I wanted it done down the street I would have brought it there at least I would have know where it was. Well at least now I know all the good work they do is actually the VIP in Milford.

Ok, so first off, I'm 47 years old, and have never posted a public review for anything in my life, until now. The experience I had with Nick and the entire staff at Horselesss Carriage was incredible! I normally buy new, as I have been burned in the past with small mom and pop dealerships that promise you much, but deliver little. What follows is "my" unbiased opinion of Horseless Carriage, and it has been seven months in the making. It started when I wanted a spare care. Something cheap, as a backup for the family cars. Something reliable, that wouldn't let us down in a pinch. I noticed an older, low mileage Chrysler Sebring online at Horseless Carriage, and was hesitant to give it a look, thinking about all the bad experiences I had had with used cars, but I had owned a Sebring in the past and I loved it, so I figured why not? It was Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. I figured why not stop by and take a look, as I was in the area. I also figured nobody would be there, so I wouldn't have to deal with any pressure. The first thing I notice as I pull in, is that all of the vehicles are dirty and covered in dust. My first impression was, "lets get the heck out of here." But then I noticed the Sebring that caught my eye. It looked decent enough and was certainly priced right, so I figured I would come back on a day they were open, and ignore the fact that everything was dirty. It was at this point that Nick (The Owner and Manager), came up from behind, and said good afternoon! I turn around and there stands a guy who I can only describe as Indiana Jones' distant cousin! All he needed was the whip! I was greeted with a big smile and handshake. I was surprised he was opened. He said he was out antiqueing and stopped by to drop some stuff off at the shop. He immediately apologized for the dust and dirt on the cars, as road crews had been outside his dealership working the roads for most of the season. So, I asked about the Sebring and why it was priced so low, and he went on to explain his business model to me. Sounded familiar... We price everything below book, make little money, but try to move lots of good cars, yada yada yada... OK, I said, but why should I buy here? I've had bad experiences with used cars in the past, and I'm a little skeptical to do it again. He explained that they had been in business just over a year, and that they had great reviews. He explained that every car came with a 45 day warranty BUT, that if something happened after that he would make it right. He said, "I promise if you purchase a vehicle from us, you will be happy. I will make and keep you happy."At this point, and after some unrelated small talk, Nick won me over with his no pressure personality, so I decided to give the Sebring a try. Sadly, unlike my former convertible, it was just to small for me. Fortunately, there were many other cars on his lot of a similar price. I felt bad keeping Nick there, when he wasn't even opened, but he was happy to show me all the cars I wanted. He's a true car guy who likes to make people happy. In all, I drove five cars that early Sunday evening. Sadly, none of them were right for me. Mostly too small or not my type of vehicle. Nick says, "Hey, I know you didn't come in looking for an SUV, but I have the perfect vehicle for you, which just came in a few days ago. It's still on my lift, as we are still going through it."Turns out the vehicle is a GMC Envoy XL with 124,000 miles, four wheel drive and third row seat, but priced right at $5,500. The book was over $9,000. I thought this will be a money pit. Nick explained that they already replaced shocks, springs, front brakes, and many other items and they weren't done yet. He stated they go through every vehicle to make sure EVERYTHING works as it should. I've never owned a vehicle like this, but realizing the value, I figured why not come back and try it. He said he would call me when it was ready to be driven. Too be continued...
