Had my car come in on a Tuesday to get checked out for some repairs and they helped find the right parts that worked for me and got it back to me by the next day. Were very good at communicating and had decent prices. Would recommend to anyone with performance or non performance vehicles.

I had my car towed in just to get an idea of the problem. They said it was a fuel injection issue. They did not once tell me that if they fixed the first issue there's a possibility it would continue to have issues in the same system. If they had told me $2500 on a gamble that it would run right after. I would have had it picked up and parted the car out. Then they advised me to put brand new $800 tires AFTER the work was done and they knew it was not running was right. They also said I needed new struts a problem that was not an issue before I brought it in. When I picked it up the check engine light came on immediately they said "ohh run super unleaded in it for a week and that will go away," it never did. I got a second opinion and they said I would have told you not to do any work on this car it's a money pit. He also said Phil and son likely put on used parts and never changed my spark plugs and to advise I put new tires on is insane. I called the mechanic that did my work. He was yelling and saying I was complaining. If you drop $3300 on a car with no warning this may not fix it I think most people would be annoyed. But I spoke in a calm collected voice and he apologized for yelling several times but when it got to a point he was calling me a complainer it was time to end the call and reach back out to the BBB as I told him I would if this was not resolved. He was more concerned about me going to the BBB than he was in coming to a compromise as that's all I said I wanted. He wanted me to bring it back to him and pay full rates on parts and work. There's many things I'm leaving out that are completely negative to that shop since I want people to read this under 300 words and not make it a novel. They lied, they likely put parts that were from a junk yard on, they never advised me this might not fix it, they had me put parts on for no reason why would I agree to put 800$ into a car that won't go over 2000rpms? All around stay away from this shop, unless you feel like burning money because it's either incompetence or plain old fashioned typical scam mechanic behavior.

Phil and his son is great. I've going to Phil for 9 years and have always had a great experience. They do very quality work for a fair price. I would highly recommend using them.

I highly recommend this car shop. I had an expensive, major repair that needed to be done and was shopping around for a good price. Not only was Phil s shop one of the cheapest prices around, but he is the most communicative and honest mechanic I have ever met. He explained everything to me in ways I understood, and he made sure I was updated along the way. I called on a Tuesday and got an appointment for the next day and my car was done the same Wednesday. I was extremely impressed because I had just waited several days for a smaller repair elsewhere, where I had gotten no updates along the way. In addition, he gave me advice on another car issue without even trying to make money from it. In fact, I was able to fix the second car issue without spending any money, which was a huge blessing. My car is driving like new again, and I m so grateful!

I had an amazing mechanic back in mass and I never thought I d stumble across their doppelg�nger in NH..Phil and Sons is amazing, doesn t try to nickel and dime you, is very straightforward and does super good and honest work. Brought my car to get inspected when I moved to NH and these guys were more than transparent and helpful with me. Will be bringing my car back here regularly for service and work. So happy to have found this garage! The first time there was when I was out with my daughter, and my tire was going flat from a screw I picked up somewhere. I pulled in, and Doug came right out and repaired my tire at no cost. Since then my husband and I have brought our cars in for repairs and inspections. The work has always been excellant and the prices are very fair.

The recent snow storm 3/14 ruined the bottom of my front bumper. The clips fell out it all I needed was a quick fix before work. Expecting to wait or book an appointment they took my car right in fixed in within 10 minutes. Employees are helpful and genuine. Definitely would recommend so grateful

Amazing service and staff, Phil and Son is my absolute favorite auto repair and maintenance shop. I am an avid car enthusiast and reviewer in NH, I highly recommend Phil for oil changes or anything else. He is honest which is a rare occurrence in the industry.

I am a second generation customer! My husband and I now use Phil & Sons as do my parents. I grew up a mile up the road, and remember my parents having Phil inspect all our cars. Phil & Sons is an honest, hard working group of men. They get the job done without any added surprises. I always recommend them and hope they will be around for many years to come!

Phil and son auto repair is a great place to get work done on your vehicle. They always do quality work and address the issues I'm having as well as suggest ways to save money. They offer great advice, they work quickly and have never let me down. If you need an amazing mechanic who you can trust (who doesn't?), then give these guys a call. My coworker recommended them and I am recommending them to whoever reads this review.

I honestly went into this place terrified that I had a major issue. Another shop told me my vehicle needed a new gasket and some other parts. They assured me I did not. Got my car up on a lift right away, made a couple adjustments, and didn't charge me a thing. These guys are honest, respectful, and all around outstanding. If I have any future problems with my vehicle this is where I would go.

Brought the car I was thinking of buying to these guys to look it over. They took my car on time, treated me with kindness and respect, and provided the exact peace of mind I was looking for before making such a big purchase. I know enough about cars that I could tell they were telling it to me straight and they were being honest and making sure I understood everything they were saying. And they offered follow up service without being pushy. Great people, I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a mechanic in the area. I'll definitely be going back.

I took my car there on a whim when moving to Manchester because it was close to my apartment and my office. I have never been disappointed with the service I receive. They are always fair, honest, and help me (someone who knows nothing about cars) make the best decision to keep my car performing at its best. I would highly recommend!

I've been going to Phil for over 25 years. I look for honest people and Phil and Brian hit the mark. Plus they explain things so even I can understand.I thought I was in need of new muffler and they told me mine was fine it was just the pipe slipped out. That saved me 100s of dollars

Gave me an honest estimate of the repairs on my vehicle. Was told by the dealership that I had add-on repairs that didn t exist. I am satisfied by getting that second option and for now on will be going to them for now on.

I came in the other day my 96 Jaguar was riding like a roller coaster they diagnosed the problem to be broken belts in 2 tires 1 front 1 back so we replaced all 4 and now it drives like a brand new car Thanks Phil & Son

I have been going here for 29, since they were at the old location. Prior to that had mechanics for two years or so but they didn't cut it for me. Phil and Darling's are a keeper for me. They keep me safe in my old cars by doing an honest inspection and honest repairs.

Will NEVER go back. The daughter-in-law of the owner is beyond rude! She insulted my mother and said she would not want her business again because she was questioned why the car was not ready when they said. They kept the car for an extra three days without calling. We had to keep calling to check on it. The cherry on the cake, aside from the peach of a daughter-in-law, was they sent an invoice for us to pay before they were even done with the car!!!!! I drove my mother over an hour to pick up her car and we paid for something that was not even ready. I would not bring my children's barbie convertible to be serviced here. Only 5 positive reviews on their website in over 25 years of business. It's obvious they pick the testimonials that are on their website.Edited to add: We brought the car for an alignment and learned Darling's neglected to tighten the tie rod and possibly the cradle. Brought the car back to Darlings to have them fix their mistake and they insist a car will not need an alignment after having everything taken out to replace engine, and still feel they did nothing wrong. You've been warned!!

I have been going to Phil for years. At one point, my car had an issue that five mechanics could not decipher (including the Ford dealer), and Phil was able to solve it. There is not a garage out there that compares to the combination of technical skills and integrity as this garage does. I live further away now, and still bring my vehicles there because it is so rare to find this class of people in this industry.

They continually provide great service at fair prices. They are honest about the work and even recommend what's in your best interest even if it might not be in their best interest, money-wise. Good people and the work has been exceptional.

HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! Do not EVER have your car inspected here!! They are one of those businesses that will go through your car and go through it again and then again until they find a spot of rust SOMEWHERE to fail the car over. Then you have it fixed and brought in and they tell you it wasnt done properly (cuz they didnt do it.) So basically they will keep failing your car until you bring it to THEM to fix and THEY can make money off of failing it! Also the young punk that was inside was very rude. I asked him repeatedly to stop talking to me as I was upset and he continued being ignorant and told me it was America and he has a right to speak to whomever when ever!! Save yourself the headache and money..DO NOT GO HERE!!! MONEY CHASERS!!!
