This is the only place you should bring your car or truck for transmission service. They are honest and thorough. I ve never been treated this fair and professional at a car repair shop. I d give them 10 stars if it was an option.

Bought a transmission and engine set up from JustChevyTrucks/Bog Brooks Auto in Maine and shipped to Oklahoma City. Transmission arrived but was having trouble shifting 4th gear. The transmission had actually come from Dr Steve's and Mike and Steve at Dr Steve's responded promptly and worked with me until the problem was fixed. Transmission has been working great for 6 months now. Sometimes when you buy a product there are issues as these transmissions are very complicated. It's the service after the sale that makes a business and these guys are awesome. Thanks for the great 4L65E Dr. Steve's!

My old Subaru recently starting throwing codes, not a simple fix such as adding more transmission fluid. Contacted several local repair shops and they all recommended Dr Steve's.Stopped by the garage to discuss this issue and got an appt the following week. They quickly diagnosed the issue (wiring problem) and fixed it themselves. Russ explained the problem and did not try to upsell me extra services. They noticed another minor issue and checked that too with a recommendation for repair at my local garage. The fee was very reasonable considering the work performed.I now understand why numerous mechanics recommended Dr Steve's - they are highly rated for a reason. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my cars here again should we need transmission work.

Wanted to add a few words to the many positive things said about Doctor Steve's.My experience was excellent! I called and spoke to someone, set an appointment dropped my Honda Pilot and used transmission off there.2 days later they called me to pick up. Did i mention they quoted me over the phone a good price for the job and then billed me a little less. That never happens, but at Steve's thats how they do business. Friendly staff good prices and no monkey business. i would highly recommend this companyService: Transmission

Asked if they could do a simple repair for my transmission. Quoted $1500. It is a 20 minute job and a $35 part. Not only that but they even admitted that they didn't want to do the work and would rather sell me a new transmission. Not spending thousands on a simple repair. I'll just do what we all did in the past and get a few friends, drink, and work on it myself.

Dr Steve transmission was able to fix my vehicle very quickly and inexpensivly. The staff was very responsive to my needs. If i ever need their service again i will take my car to them again. 5 stars review was well deserved. Kudos!

My 6.7 transmission was done fast and for a very good price! I had it back in my truck the same day and it shifts and moves look it should.

Russ is great. Accommodating. I couldn't get work done for three weeks till I had the $ . he was patient. Did his best to save me $. Cost me less than anticipated. 25k Mile warranty.

After shopping around for a few different places to replace a transmission, I'm happy I decided to go with Dr. Steve's! A few shops that didn't have the experience for the job had directed me to Dr. Steve. After my experience, it's easy to see why! The price couldn't be beaten, and the service overall was excellent. There wasn't any uptalk for work that needed to be done, and I felt confident my car was in good hands. I was kept up to date on what was happening with the replacement, and the repair was on time. If you ever need work done, whether routine maintenance or a complete repair, save yourself time shopping around, and check out Dr. Steve!

Dr Steve rebuilt transmissions on both my GMC Acadia and my Chevy Avalanche. Great work. Fair price. Clear and timely communication. Then he went above and beyond to find and fix a problem that had nothing to do with their work or with what they specialize in. Highly recommend.

Rebuilt my transmission. 2 year warranty. I had to take it back because my mechanic saw a leak during inspection. They corrected the problem without any issues. Very nice to deal with. I'm not an easy person to deal with. Always checking on the status. But they didn't show any sign of annoyance :) I was really scared about the cost of getting the work done in the first place. Really happy I decided to do this than get rid of my car. Good experience all around.

Dr Steve came highly recommended by another mechanic in Merrimack - price quality and time of the repair couldn t have been smoother. He is the best in the area recommended by many. He took care of my daughters Honda Element and found a short In the wiring and replaced a sensor- problem solved. I would highly recommend Dr Steve's Transmission Clinic. My son was in NH for an out of state internship. He was very accommodating knowing that we did not have a backup vehicle. Steve stood behind his work and was honest and accurate about price and time quotes. He was also able to put a stressed Mom at ease. Thank you again Steve and staff!

I went to a toyota dealership and they said I have to fix my transmission, I freaked out and found Dr Steve online, I came to them and they only diagnosed my car for fluid services and fix my axel seal and my car is running good, they saved me lots of money. Have a lifted 2004 jeep wrangler. It had some work done and my rebuilt transmision was having some leaking. Called steve direct and he said "bring it on down" Its was such a relief. Working with an extended warranty and Steve said "we ll get it all set for ya." Honoring his warranty which you dont really hear these days. Then within minutes of it being towed in the lot it was brought right into the bay so it would be safe over the weekend along with a courtesy call Feeling relieved about a tough situation thanks to Steve and the guys and the clinic. Cant wait to drive the jeep again knowing it's safe and sound Thanks again Steve and his mechanic professionals.

I cannot say enough good things about doctor Steve transmission. Upfront and honest i was comfortable leaving my vehicle with them great work great pricing would definitely recommend to anyone looking for transmission and Driveline repair work will be bringing my vehicles back in the future for work needed

I have an 04 Dodge diesel(with tuning and some mods) and wanted to have the transmission upgraded before I started breaking things. Steve was great to deal with and knew everything I wanted done without asking. I had done some research to see what guys were doing to improve these trannies and Steve apparently was already doing those things. Steve is great to deal with. He's very personable and you can tell that he wants you (the customer) to be happy. Well, the tranny shifts great, the price was unbeatable (literally),and he gave me a 2yr/24k mile warranty and he challenged me to break it. I don't think you can ask for more than that from a tranny builder. If my other truck needs tranny work, Steve will be my first call.Thanks Steve!!!

Was referred to Dr. Steve's by a quick lube shop. Took my daughters Jeep Grand Cherokee in because it would not shift into overdrive or 1st.They went out of their way to diagnose this problem. Had the vehicle for a week. Turned out it was the PCM and not the transmission. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone. I worked in the racing industry in the south for many years. Most shops up here in New England would have charged a small fortune for the the time they had the vehicle.

I want to thank Steve and his crew for going the extra mile.Not from the area my car broke down and I had it sent to Dr Steve's.I didnt have and appointment but they fit me in there schedule .He explained what I need to have repaired and answered my questions.Very professional and a pleasure to speak with in a not so fun situation. If I lived in the area this would be my choice of business.
