Great hospitatlity!!!! First visit in February 2024. I called and I was helped right away. I had to have my bearing repaired asap. I didn't have to wait and my worry was taken care of. My vehicle was fixed to perfection! Such a relief to find a place that has excellent customer service with dependable workmanship. I will definitely be going back this month for inspection.

First off Ian and his team are amazing!I needed brakes on my suv. They are one of our client and we alway want to give back to the people who support us. I called a round to a few places and everyone was similar in priced. I decided it go with Bob & Sons because I really did not want to go to the dealer.When I called, Ian was extremely professional on the phone and when finding time in my schedule he even offered a loaner car while my car was being repaired.I dropped off my car and they kept me updated every step of the way with picture and text messages! There was no guess if my car was being worked on or when it will be done. They even did a multi point inspection and Ian even called and ask if I had any questions, which I did!When I got my car back there was no oily residue on my steering wheel or door handle ( that drive me crazy) and the brakes were fixed!Thank you Bob & Sons team I will be a client for life!

Somehow, some way, every inspection, this place finds several thousand dollars worth of repairs that needs to happen to pass inspection. I ve never needed repairs in my 20 years of driving since I do a lot of work myself. Never needed more than a headlight change to pass inspection anywhere else. But now that I ve brought several cars in to Bobs for the first time.. just somehow.. all these things that work fine need to be fully replaced at a premium cost. Almost like you have to pay to play..

I have to agree with the previous review done by PN that when you take a car in for inspection, they find a ridiculous amount of so-called issues. I made the mistake of taking my daughters 2012 Toyota Camry for just an ordinary inspection. As stated in a previous review, they came back with a laundry list of so-called issues that had to be addressed.They said the car actually failed inspection because the headlights were frosted, but told me for $285 they could do a restoration.(Just a foot note here I had a restoration done for $112 at another dealership) When I told Erica, I was taking it to another service technician for a better price, but I would bring it back for them to complete the inspection. I was told, I would have to wait at least 2 to 3 weeks for a reinspection. So think about this, the issue they have is the headlights why would it take 2 to 3 weeks for a Technician to look at the headlights? I m sure if I had paid them $285 they would ve done the reinspection right away. And by the way, there s additional charge for a reinspection.I strongly recommend to anyone Do not take your car to this location for any type of service.

I made an appointment to put in my snow tires here, as they did my tires the year before. I got there at 8 am and went in to drop off my keys. The woman at the reception asked if I had the key for my wheels, I told her I don t know what you mean so she went outside looked at my tires and said I need the key to change it. I guess VWs have a special key. I told her I was there last year and no one mentioned any keys and there was no problems. She continued to say that she needed the key. So I started looking for it, even though I had no idea of what it looked like. She went back inside and offered no help even though I told her I don t know what I am looking for. Worst service ever. I spent over $1000 last year between inspections and tires, only to be treated like this. Neither less to say, I put the tires back in my care, called John & Son s and they took my car with no problems! He said he would look for the key, and most likely is in the trunk. Rets assure I will not be back here for anything! I hear the owner is nice but they should not have such a rude employee working in the front.Response to the owner - your reasons are all fine to as why you need the key, it doesn t excuse the type of service provided. And it turns out my car doesn t even need to special key, they are plastic covers on it. I m so glad Paul from John & Son actually took the time to help me and explain to me. 1 hr and the service was done, with a smile and a thank you. Happy and safe 2024!

I have taken multiple family vehicles to this location over the last 10+ years. Couldn t ask for anything better. I was supposed to get on the road to drive to Florida but had an oil leak. Erica was so knowledgeable and helpful she got me right in. They got the parts and fixed it the same day. Would recommend to anyone.

They helped me a lot when I was trying to get my car inspected after moving here from TX. The state regulations are very different and they helped get my car to passing standards. Will be going back to them for all services on my car!

If getting your car inspected and repaired can be a great experience, this is the place to do it. Everyone was so nice, polite, and accommodating, especially Erica at the front desk! THIS IS THE PLACE for all your car service needs!

Bob and Sons is not the cheapest mechanic in the area, however, I continue to bring my vehicle back to them because although expensive, they are thorough and always do a great job.Recently, I even had a small issue with this shop because of a miscommunication. Ian made the effort to reach out to me and make it right, which made me feel valued as a customer. I m disabled and my daughter just had a baby . Her car was running rough so we brought it in to bobs & son auto which said it needed around $2,000 worth of work. After paying & driving it off the lot it still ran rough. She brought to another shop that said the transmission is going that s why it is running rough so we spent all that money to fix something that wasn t broke. She now has a newborn with no car and I m on disability and broke now. Be careful where you bring your car for repairsService: Auto engine diagnostic

Very rude customer service to someone who just moved to this state. I needed to remove my window tint as the only item on my state vehicle inspection to be addressed. I did this myself to save money since I just moved halfway across the country. I only had this week to get the move in process completed before starting work again. I told them this entire scenario. I called back to reschedule to see I had removed window tint and refused to get my car to do this quick visual check for almost 2 weeks out. Now I have to have entire inspection process done again by someone who is more human. Will not be coming back ever again.

Got a quote from these guys today totaling around $2480 (and charged me $94 for diagnosis) and then went to Inner City Auto repair for a second opinion and he said I didn t need one of the things Bob & Sons recommended and quoted me less than $1,000 on the rest. Also didn t even charge me a diagnosis fee. Sooo glad I went for a second opinion!

I am blown away by what an amazing job they did on my vehicle!! The customer service is outstanding! Working with Ian he had incredible patience with me I had to cancel unexpectedly, still so courteous and kind. And most importantly my car has never ever driven this well!!! This is the 3rd, and thankfully, FINAL place that I brought my VW to have the rear pads and rotors replaced but the issue was I lost the lug nut key. If anyone is familiar with the process, hence the reason why this was my 3rd place having it attempted, and actually done RIGHT. Not only did the mechanic Jon do it right, there was literally no collateral damage as they had to torch them out on aluminum rims and he did an AMAZING job!!!!!!! Highly recommended!!!!!! And I ll NEVER take my car anywhere else!!!!!!Services: Transmission repair, Auto brake replacement

One of the things that attracts me to West Manchester are the amount of locally owned businesses. Families have been here for generations, as the city around them has changed. The chains don t really operate north of Granite Street.I ve taken my car to chains my whole life, and that s a mistake. They will nickel and dime you and flag things that may not need much work. It s a money game.Bob and Sons Automotive is not a chain. They re cut from the same cloth a lot of the West Side businesses are: If you do good work, people will come through no matter what.These folks care about doing a good job and being transparent about it. You ll notice there s no Napa logo or anything that would indicate there are corporate interests pushing products or financial benchmarks.When getting even something as simple as an oil change and inspections, Bob and Sons will give you a full report of your car s health that is more detailed than a Steinbeck book. They will tell you what is required to pass inspection, and what isn t, and they won t pressure you to make a financial decision you can t make. You will drive away knowing everything you need to know about your car and that everything you paid for was well worth it.You do pay a premium going to the little guys, but it s not much more than what VIP and the like would charge, and the peace of mind knowing that the folks at Bob and Son s are invested in doing the job right. I highly recommend bringing your car here for just about anything your car needs. I have previously left a positive review I have now deleted after our experience today. Beware this place quotes prices that far exceed most other places in the area. While my experience told me this was the case, I went ahead and confirmed this by calling around to multiple places. The quotes Bob and Sons gave me were at least 2.5 times over competitor s prices. We chose to go elsewhere. Do your research.Service: Brakes

Bob & Sons is exactly the kind of mechanic you hope for but never find. They are personable and incredibly experienced. If you have a used car and you want to know exactly what is wrong with it - these guys are truly the best. Their rates are fair but more than anything they are looking out for you first - they found issues that my old mechanic had caused and advised me on selling the vehicle. I cannot thank them enough. I ve been bringing our vehicles to Bob and Sons for over 20 years now for regular maintenance and repair work. I trust them totally for their honesty and quality of work. I believe their charges are competitive but importantly, I m super confident in the quality of their work and when they fix something, it virtually always stays fixed and on the rare occasion when something doesn t get addressed correctly, they always make it right. They are on time with their work and are highly detail oriented. Plus, everyone who works there is super nice and friendly. Absolutely fabulous customer service. Incredibly reasonable recommendations for service, impressive turn around time, very professional, very knowledgeable staff. It was a very easy decision to pull the trigger to have a fair amount of work done on a vehicle that sat motionless for almost 11 months. I was kept in the loop every step of the way, all of my questions were answered without hesitation or beating around the bush. I can definitely say I am a Bob and Sons customer as long as I am a vehicle owner in Manchester. Certainly would recommend to anyone looking for anything from a state inspection to more serious, intensive work. Very impressed. I'm overall pleased and impressed with the service I got at Bob & Sons Kelly Street Garage. My vehicle was ready on time and the evaluation was thorough. Rob is very professional and polite. First of all, the customer service is amazing. So, in this industry, that's already a huge plus right out of the gates. Trust me, I've had a lot of experience working in CS - They bring that good Top Shelf stuff. I'm a relatively new customer at Bob & Sons, but they seem committed to doing a thorough job and giving you all of the information you need, including a detailed online report. They flagged the immediate issues, with pictures, and made suggestions for other routine maintenance. My old Jeep needed a lot of TLC, and they delivered. Had a lot of problems with my engine misfiring. Friends who knew about cars had suggestions, but nothing worked. Eventually at the end of my rope I brought it here. Had a cause diagnosis the same day, also fixed the same day. Even gave me a ride to my nearby work when I dropped it off! They provided some recommendations for other services, but were not at all pushy about it, more like a "just so you know, we also see this other issue which could become a problem." Overall, I was very happy and while I hope my car never has another major issue the rest of the time I own it, I will come here again the next time my car starts to act up.Update: I still use Bob & Sons Automotive exclusively for all my service and repairs. Car still runs like a dream and I never have to worry about it. Great service, would highly recommend.Another Update: It's winter of 2020, and I still bring my car here for anything it needs. My vehicle is running great, and Bob & Sons always take the time to answer any questions I have about any services I have done on the vehicle. Great place and I still wholeheartedly reccomend.

I had a great experience with Bob and Sons, this was my first time engaging Bob & Sons for my car servicing and I was taken care of very well. I recently moved into the area and was looking for an honest mechanic. Robert provided me timely updates and everything was done with my prior authorization. Loved the personal service and friendliness of the staff. Made me feel very comfortable leaving my car in their care.Update 9/2019 amazing experience once again. My car was due for an inspection but I ve been so busy I can t get to the shop. Bob and Sons not only picked my vehicle up at my office, they left me a loaner should I need to go out while they had my car. The detailed report on the entire vehicle diagnostics was great and I was able to have a couple of non-inspection related items taken care of while they had the vehicle! It now drives like a dream again and I know I m safe in my car! Thanks Bob and Sons!

I scheduled a 1 hour appointment for a pre-purchase inspection on a car that had already lived a rough life, and the team at Bob & Sons was excellent! Everyone I worked with was both professional & friendly, offering advice about the vehicle and its intended use. Even the person who 'chaperoned' me from where I was buying the car said that "this is the kind of place that goes through everything with a fine toothed comb." Glad I made the decision to go here.

I really felt like my car was in good hands and I sincerely appreciated Robert's approach in going above and beyond to explain each of the repairs and keeping me informed throughout the process. I don't think I've ever had a more friendly or transparent auto repair experience in my 15 years of owning a vehicle.
