I brought my vehicle in for a trans. fluid leak.After it was diagnosed, I made the appointment for repairs. I was also informed that they went ahead and added 2 quarts of ATF without my authorization and expected me to pay for it! The 2 quarts raised the level to way overfull.On the day before taking it in, I checked my fluid level and added a needed 1.5 pints. After the overfill of 2 quarts, the trans is leaking like crazy!I called them and talked with the tech that did the work, and he told me I can bring it back, have the 2 quarts removed, and find another shop to have the repairs done for they are not going to work on my vehicle. Really???????When I was getting back into my vehicle, I noticed there was a ton of dirt on the drivers running board and in the drivers foot area inside from the tech tracking it from his shoes.It was a horrible experience and I won't recommend this shop to anyone. Poor customer service, poor treatment of customers vehicles, and incompetence. The shop was messy and dirty, and even the restroom was disgusting. If I could give 0 stars, I would!

I'm another Happy camper. Purchased a 2020 GMC with 30000 miles to pull new camper. People started telling me about a shake that happens to the 8 speed transmission I thought I had. People said put in the Mobil 1 fluid when it starts to happen. To calm my fears of breakdown I wanted the change the fluid now. Told the cost about 4 or 5 hundred to change it out. Tisdell took my truck in to do the work. Called me to tell me they didn't want to do the change. The shake was for the 8 speed transmission it happens at higher mileages the torque converter wobbles. The fluid change to Mobil 1 does help them. I have a 6 speed transmission, those the torque converter fuses to the pump. He refused to change my fluid telling me it only has 30000 miles. Come back at 50000 and he will change it. Bottom line, my anxiety was cured from the fear of a transmission leaving me stranded. I paid nothing for the help I received. A win for me and a Thank You for Tisdell You are the best. I will be going nowhere else for my service going forward.Service: Transmission

Have to say a down trannny sucks ..year ago lost my promaster tranny. These guys were to busy but one guy told me what I could do to repair it .well time past friend of mine list his tranny I sent him to tisdale.respectable an honest..my friend so happy .well guess what blew my truck tranny an where do I go .tisdal.best place .was funny my 24 yr old son said dad they dont replace torque conveter get truck out of the re .i was nervous an called told them what my son said .they said I have a smart son ..my truck is at the right shop 5stars

Can't believe how helpful they were over the phone. I have a 2012 Ford F350 that was stuck in 4 Wheel Low and tried everything to get it unstuck. I called Tisdell and over the phone they walked me through a process that got it unstuck! The whole process from phone call to getting it unstuck took 3 minutes. We have used these guys before for other work and they have always been great. Fixed my wife's navigator a little over a year ago and its still running smooth. Thanks so much!Service: Transmission

Still drive a car with a manual transmission. Obtained several quotes, with a surprisingly wide price range. Was referred to Tisdell; they finished under their quoted price and ahead of quoted schedule.An outstanding job! Thanks!Update as of 01.21.2022, The transmission on the car needed full replacement. Michelle went out of her way to avoid normal options of auto salvage or supposed reconditioned with no warranty options and found a completely rebuilt w/a nationally recognized warranty.Hard to find any real mechanics in the world who say what they will do and then do it. Doug and Michelle's team do great work and a great value. Peace of Mind. Highly recommend them for any transmission related work you might need.Thanks Folks!

Highly recommend. I was impressed with their honesty. I didn't end up repairing my transmission as it didn't make sense financially but if I ever had another transmission issue I would call them first. Very professional and went out of their way to help me.

Great shop to work with. Lost reverse in my truck and had my truck towed to Tisdell. Transmission. They kept in constant communication and had the repairs done on time. Awesome experience. Quick check of my transmission ruled out a quick fix. Had to have it rebuilt. While that was unpleasant to hear, Tisdell made it a positive outcome. Before my tranny would heat up while towing. Now it stays cool no matter what, shifts smooth and smarter, and came with a warranty. All within quoted price.

Not only did this repair shop complete repairs to my plow Truck on time but held to the price quoted and the owner came to my home installed my Plow Blade for me. I had recently been operated on and Mr Tisdell was a great help to me. This is one Family operated business that I would highly recommend. His Wife runs the office and wass a delite to deal with.

My son towed his vehicle there to get a quote after the manual transmission stopped working. Rare transmission, but they quoted $7800 for an LkQ+ labor. Dealer quoted $4800 w/new oem parts and labor. We had it towed to another local place, had it torn down and diagnosed in an hour. Transmission was stuck in 3rd/4th, and will need a throw out bearing/clutch assembly with a qoute under $2000. Tisdell never even moved the car or diagnosed it at all, sat there for days, and they Just gave us an off the wall high price quote with no options. If you can't handle the job just be honest, and refer us to someone that can handle a transmission replacement on a vehicle other than an easy GM, Ford, Dodge that ANYONE can work on. You are a transmission repair facility correct? Thanks for all your help. Truly professional!
