I didn't receive the "first fill price" of $1.729/gal AmeriGas e-mailed me when I signed up. I called before my first delivery and was assured I would receive the first fill pricing. When 931.1 gallons of propane were delivered, I was charged my contract rate of $2.04/gal. In the last 2 weeks I've called AmeriGas twice requesting to be rebilled under the first fill rate. I had a fairly difficult time understanding/communicating with the customer service reps I talked with on those last two calls and it sounded as if children were yelling in the background. Both reps seemed distracted as if they were working from home. Neither of them were able to get my bill fixed so it makes me wonder if they did anything at all with the information I relayed to themOn a positive note, the service technician deserves 5 stars. He was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable during his 2 calls to my house. In closing, I'd really like to get this fixed so I can pay my bill in full which is now due in 2 days. I've never had this much difficulty with a large, respected corporation in resolving a billing dispute . I sincerely hope it is resolved soon.Merry Christmas

In the last two years I've been left without fuel through the holidays twice. I paid them for fuel a month ago and still haven't got it. Been empty for two weeks. Driver came yesterday and told my wife the gate was "locked" and he wasn't going to fill it and left. There was a carabiner on it which they've removed and entered 20 other times. They've removed my gate in the past and not put it back on and my dogs ended up in the road on a major roadway. There customer service is a foreign call center and does nothing to solve problems. I'm cancelling with them right now and they refuse to put the money back on my card and are mailing me a check that will take four to six weeks. If you live in NH, go with someone else. Worst company I've ever dealt with.

you company is garbage.... the cost for propane is higher than any other company in our area. Your customer service is the worst, they don't speak English and need to stop reading off of a script you make them read from. I can honestly tell you once my credit is gone, I will be using a different company and I am not the only one in my town that has this same issue. I ran out of propane due to your issues in my area, then you want to charge me extra to come out and inspect for a gas leak, i have no freaking gas, therefore there is no gas leak!!!! I will be reporting to the BB and the DA for not getting my propane to me as promised and our house was 15 degrees my husband is at home recovering from surgery!!!! Thanks AmeriGas for NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

Run away from this company. The customer service is horrible. All offshore calling. Non responsive to emergency requests. We are an auto delivery customer. Two years in a row there system did not reflect accurate tank reading. We will run out today. Spoke to offshore customer service yesterday am, they promised delivery within 24hrs. No delivery. Call emergency line this am got someone in US. They promised delivery today. Been over 29 hours and no delivery. We will run out today. You cannot talk to anyone locally to confirm details or resolve issue of there system error.

I was low on propane, ordered it, it took WEEKS before they came. I was given the run around EVERY SINGLE TIME I called. The same questions over and over and over, and still nobody came. A guy came here, and drove away without giving me propane. I was in tears, and had to call yet again. I called every day for WEEKS before I finally got someone out here to give me propane. This company has the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced.

I received a bill, invoice #316335118, that was very confusing. In one box it said balance due $51.56, the box next to it said, invoice amount due, $0.00. Then halfway down the bill it said please pay by date above which did not exist. I then called billing and was told I owed $139.95. I asked where that amount came from, she could not give me an answer, she just kept repeating that number. I finally got transferred to a supervisor, Alehandro, who had to show me how to calculate the bill from all the numbers on the top of the invoice. No where on the invoice does $139.95 appear as amount due, and then to find out from Alehandro the amount was due in March.Do you purposely make the bills confusing, or is it nobody knows what they are doing? This is not the first time I've had this problem. When I had an over payment on the pre buy it took the billing dept 3 months to correct, they kept treating it as debit. I have to spend over an hour on the phone to correct each billing error that I get, and this was number 4. So "POOR" as a rating is generous.

Amerigas is in the running for worst company I ve ever dealt with. I own multiple properties and the others are with Irving so I decided to run a test this winter to compare service, billing, delivery timing, etc. It s not even close. Tank rental fees, massive delays in deliveries vs requests, over a month), No way to connect with local team, huge billing errors (charged $800+ for a delivery that never happened, only resolved by Chase bank). Laughable really. What s even more funny is that Irving came out while I was waiting forever for an amerigas delivery and I ll probably have one of their tanks before I ever see an amerigas driver.I d consider shorting this company s stock but with a bit of light research I understand the parent company is exploring strategic options ie trying to spin Amerigas off. Even they don t want to deal with Amerigas .Amerigas customer service (in India) if you read this, you ll find your tank by the street.**Follow up after the Amerigas reply below. Almost immediately after I posted this, a rep emailed me and said they were sorry to read my review after a month of non-delivery. They agreed it was unacceptable and the local team would come out the next Monday to which I replied we have 8 inches of snow in the forecast, there s no way that will happen and they need to deliver today. No response at all until the next automated message. We re sorry we cannot deliver due to snow and ice. What an absolute clown show. Anyway, I canceled the delivery and Irving is bringing tanks next week.

I called about 8 days after I placed an order for fuel because I smelled rotten eggs. I was informed it could be a gas leak. I called back saying, "my husband said it was not a gas leak. It was just what the bottom of the tank smells like if the stove is turned on with no fuel. I don't want anyone to come out if it's going to be an extra charge." I got a call from a service guy and told him the same thing. However he said he would come out to bring me a little bit of fuel because he wasn't sure when fuel would be deliver due to bad weather.Keep in mind this was 7 days before Christmas where I was meant to cook for our family, and our fuel was estimated to be delivered between dec 12th-18th. I called back again to check when fuel would be delivered explaining I needed my stove to cook Christmas dinner. The man on the phone said I had to wait 10 days before they could check when it would be delivered. It was not delivered till after Christmas. Then you guys had the audacity to charge me an emergency charge for the service man coming to my house when I told them not to come if it would be an extra charge. I'm not paying for a service charge that I didn't want. I had already prepaid for my propane and to have a leak check done.

I sign up for rate lock every summer and this winter I am paying much, much more than anyone else using propane, and there's nothing I can do about it. Worst decision ever. $ 4.10 / gallon. I feel violated.

The most absurd and unhelpful customer service experience I ve ever had. The WORST company I ve ever dealt with. I would never in a million years use Amerigas in any capacity.

We have a cabin in NH where our Amerigas is delivered. We have three propane uses - gas stove, hot water heater and gas fireplace. We had an appt to have all three serviced and they never showed up for the appointment after we waited all day. We called this trip there to make another appt and couldnt get it until we were already gone. No one else will work on the gas products because we get our gas from you. We are trying to change services.

Unreliable customer service. Difficult to reach anyone. Since the beginning of COVID our local office closed and only folks that have been outsourced and struggle with the English language answer calls. Multiple service calls requested and scheduled and no one arrived or showed up. Tried to change our tank size and hasn't happened for more than 2 years. I was told to schedule service calls on holidays Stayed home and canceled travel twice- no one showed up. Yeah horrible.

Probably the worst customer experience I've ever had. After 3 years of trying to resolve and get someone there to properly set up service at 2 separate locations I finally gave up and hired a new company for the second location. I have run out of propane so many times at both locations that it actually became a dangerous situation of having my house freeze up over the winter when I wasn't home. If I wasn't leasing the tank at the second location from Amerigas I would end that service as well. Thing is I never hired Amerigas. You acquired both local companies we used for service and that is when the problems started. Your systems were not integrated and your customer service was reading scripts and not solving problems. Honestly after years of this frustration I still don't think you have it figured it out. Customers need access to local people that can help them!!!! Not people in remote locations with very limited knowledge on how to solve important problems.

I am happy to know that every May I will get a refill; however, I wish I knew this was the case. I was used to the local provider and being able to go to the store, if need be. That AmeriGas is an out of state company, there is no local connection. Also, I get a past due notice because my check crosses the due date, The bill comes out of Texas with a 10 day notice to pay. It takes 5 days for the notice to get to me in NH. So, when I send the payment, it takes another 5 days to get from NH to Texas, which generates a past due notice. But, I guess it could be worse.

We had less than 5% in our propane tank multiple times this past winter. We were on automatic delivery and would also call when we got below 25%. Amerigas is horrible. There is no one local that you can speak with about your delivery. We got lied to many times about our delivery. We are so lucky we did not run out of propane this winter and have our pipes freeze. On that note we will be switching to a local company.

We've had multiple terrible experiences with Amerigas involving poor communication and coordination with the call centers. My wife and I have collectively wasted hours of our lives on the phone with Amerigas. I plan on switching energy providers as soon as possible.

I wish I could give 0 to negative stars. So far 4 weeks have gone by with no resolution and each time I call I am sent to a call center that transfers me to sales and then sales transfers me back to customer service and after over 5 hours on the phone over 4 weeks still an issue with my account setup. If you want to talk to a supervisor they are not available and always in a meeting. I was told in fact there is ONE supervisor for the entire call center. Ok, not sure if I believe that. If I could throw away the Amerigas phone number and never talk to them again, it would be a great day.

This place was bought by a Massachusetts based firm that outsourced everything. They literally don't care about anyone in this region and are stealing money from me, my friends, family, and coworkers by charging for services and fuel that they don't deliver. Report them to the BBB like I did!

Horrendous customer service. They refuse to deliver even after I have paid them which is THEFT! I am contacting the BBB for NH and filing a police report for theft. Stay as far away from this company as possible. I smell a class action lawsuit

Unfortunately, we inherited this company when we purchased our home several years ago. The customer service is, quite frankly, unacceptable. The lack of knowledge on the part of the associates answering the phone is astounding. I am not typically a person to leave negative reviews or comments about any business but after years of terrible service, it must be noted. When a propane emergency cannot be resolved for upwards of 3 days, that simply won t do and when deliveries take place within 10 days, also not good business. It seems to me there is some work to do on the inside of this company before I would recommend them to anyone considering propane service in the area.

Very good customer service. Installed two new heaters for me. Supply my propane and service my fireplace. When I converted the heaters from kerosene to propane VIC took the time to explain the options and walk me through the process.I can t say enough about the old fashioned as if it was a family business attitude. Thank you.

Total complete rip off just charged me $4.85 per gallon for propane said was market rate called rimes and pemi and market for 1,000 gallon tank is under $3!! This company since buying franconia gas is a TOTAL RIP OFF and has predatory practices, do yourself a favor and leave them and go to a local company that actually answers the phone.

Worst company to deal with. Cannot contact a human. If you have a generator during a power outage and need a propane fill there is an emergency $300 plus fill charge. Highway robbery. Opportunists

In the almost 2 years I have been with your company, you are by far the worst I have ever had to deal with. Your customer service is beyond poor, your service is the worst and I have found a far better company to deal with.

Franconia Gas is now Amerigas. I have been trying to have an error on my propane account fixed for nearly a month. 12 phone calls and 6 hours on the phone have not provided a solution to this problem, which involves a refund of a payment that went through twice. They owe me $136.61. I last spoke to them (Alex at Billing) on Monday January 11th and the problem was supposed to be fixed within 24-48 hours. I am still waiting. Do not use Amerigas for your propane needs. Terrible customer service.
