Our favorite local place to stay when we come to town to ski. We've stayed at ~10 other hotels/lodges/motels in the immediate area and this one stood out for 2 major reasons: they offer a wide selection for their complimentary breakfast (hot and cold options) and they have a great indoor pool with a sauna and a hot tub that were clean and well maintained. They even have a small arcade with a full pool table. Convenient location to the Notch, local mountains, and some popular restaurants. It's a very family-friendly place, so couples looking for a quiet night aprs ski in the hot tub, you'll be likely to get a few cold splashes from cannonballs.Nearby activities: Cannon Mountain and Loon are the local ski resorts

We booked this hotel last minute and were very pleased. It was super reasonable and the room was well maintained. Would love to visit the property in the summer because it seemed to have a lot to offer. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. My only complaint was no hair dryer in the bathroom since I forgot mine. That might not even be a thing anymore at any hotels. The indoor pool was clean and well maintained. Bottom line is if you are looking for an affordable, family friendly, hotel that is just off the beaten path of downtown then look no further!Nearby activities: Very close to downtown!

Found a very good deal ($80) we always used to vacation in this area before Covid and it was so nice to go backPros- attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly staff.- comfy bed- very clean- separated living room (with coffee maker!) and sleep area (with fridge)- shower had shampoo, conditioner, body wash with complementary bar soap and lotion- nice view of a creek!- zero r0aches! Zero b3dbugz!- unexpected indoor pool and hot tub (both clean and well maintained!)- unexpected free breakfast- near a bunch of awesome stuff!Minor inconveniences (as opposed to cons)-The door lock on the bathroom was a bit odd- couldn t figure out how to pair remote with tv- couldn t figure out how to open the window- lots of outlets but no usb ports- only one nightstand for king size bed

quick last minute trip, we did not get a chance to use any of the amenities. This is a door to the outside kind of motel/hotel, but it is the nicest place like this I have ever been in. The people checking us in were very nice, explained coffee in the AM and breakfast. (we left before it was available, 7AM). Opened the door to our room, land found a very recently updated room, with very fresh linens, a spotless bathroom and large television. The coffee maker in the room was of the generic kind (not Keurig) however it got the job done. 11 minutes to the parking lot at Loon.I always feel like I want to keep a place like this a secret because then I will get to enjoy it more, but this is a great place.

Great place to stay it s not a 5 star resort of course but it s 5 star review. The staff is wonderful rooms are very clean, bathrooms are remodeled and spacious with barn door. They have a nice indoor pool hot tub and sauna, free breakfast with lots of options (only thing I would suggest is to have something gluten free and milks other than cows milk) but they have eggs sausage and potatoes every day along with muffins breads waffles and more. The sitting are has a fireplace and lots of Christmas decorations and it s just overall a really great deal for the price and you can t beat the location it s close to so many things.Nearby activities: Clarks trading post, aquarium, downtown Lincoln, loon mountain cannon mountain

Solidly 3 . I was on the fence booking, but the photos of the recent renovations convinced me. Our room has certainly been renovated, but was much plainer than those pictured. Plain painted bare walls all around. No decorative touches of any kind. Check in was smooth. We discovered later in the day (bedtime-ish) that the room was not as clean as expected and I let the desk know at breakfast the next day that we d like it cleaned. It was much better later that day, although we had to do some waiting. We stayed in the back of the property, and being just one floor, I hadn t worried about noise- but it was loud. Lots of hallway noise late into the night. White noise was a must. The free breakfast is ok: eggs, waffle maker, sausage, cereal etc. Fruit was really lacking- apples and oranges only. Not even a banana. Nothing non-dairy, not a creamer or milk. The indoor pool was very chlorinated (like you can smell it in your nose hours later), but fine for a dip for the kids. The hot tub was broken though- the jets did not turn on. There s a small game room with pool table, air hockey and some video games. There did seem to be someone working on the machines, although there was no signage alerting guests to which games might eat their coins, just a knowing nod each time a guest informed the employee that a machine was down.Food & drinks: Dietary restrictions not well supported.

Paid a lot of money for the room. I meven embarrassed to say how much. The temperature in the room was 85 degrees, we could not turn the heat down or off. Had to sleep with the ac on and a window open. There was no lock from the inside for us to bolt at night. We went to dinner and asked for 9 of us to be sat together. The dining room was empty, but they put us in the bar. Service was terrible. They brought out all of our meals at different times. Two of our kids didn t get their meals until over 30 minutes after the rest of us. They wouldn t even comp us one meal for the inconvenience they caused. Do not recommend.Safety: The lock inside the room was broken. Could not dead bolt ourselves in

Rooms were clean, best shower of any hotel/motel we've ever stayed. Indoor pool right next to our room was great , especially in December. Its really a hybrid hotel/motel because rooms are spread out thru property with inner hallways but also direct access to rooms thru sliding glass doors. Only issue we had was terrible breakfast, thats the only reason I gave 3 stars on service. Gross boxed eggs and "hash browns" horrible burnt cheap coffee that we took one sip and threw out. But Dunkin was very close so we did that day 2. Overall good experience, if breakfast was improved we would come back.Food & drinks: Not good. 1 star.

Really going to miss the White Mountain Tavern and so sad they just had to close!! The staff, the food, the entertainment will all be missed so.... much! We went there all the time. I wish Dave & Melissa my best along with all the other great staff!!! Now you have no restaurant when you stay at the hotel.Food & drinks: The White Mountain Tavern has closed and they had the best food, drinks and employees

This place was great! I was so surprised when I walked in the room. It was huge! Bathroom was amazing. Room was very clean, had a nice size fridge and microwave. Even an extra sink for washing a few cups or dishes! And the absolute greatest part was the incredible view from the room. Talk about a hidden gem. Great location too. Will definitely stay here again.

What an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. The rooms have been updated, the bathroom was very nice, there was plenty of room and there was both a fridge and microwave. If you're headed to the Flume and other hiking & scenic stops in the White Mountains, this is the perfect location. It's easy to get to, but farther away from downtown Lincoln than the chain hotels. But that's OK. It's still less about ten minutes to get to Loon.My only complaint was that the mattress was really uneven, like a really heavy person had broken in one side. My son's bed was fine. We had a great view, and it was definitely more quiet on our side of the resort. The indoor pool area was really over chlorinated, and filled with really little kids even at 9:30 at night. But then again, it's summer vacation.Melissa at the Tavern was amazing: friendly, made incredible cocktails, and created a great vibe in what could have been very generic hotel bar. I just wish it stayed open later. Will definitely stay there again.

READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW A VACATION CAN TURN INTO A NIGHTMARE FOR WEEKS. We stayed at this location for 3 nights. Our allotted room was changed last minute citing we didn t need pet friendly room. Room was very dirty as if it has not been used for months. Had broken door, cabinets, dust all around, dirty towels and bedsheet. We were ok to adjust on all that but things got ugly after my wife got rashes and itches next morning after using one of the bed in the room. Its been one month and my wife is still getting treated for bed bugs bites and rashes/wounds. Me and my kid were lucky to have used other bed. We brought this to front office and they said they will research this and call us. But not even a single reach out so far. This was our fifth visit to Lincoln, NH and we never faced this issue at any place we stayed at. The price they charged for this pathetic room is horrible. I would stay away from this location and warn others to do the same. Does not deserve even one star rating after you see your family going through so much pain and suffering. Shame!

DIRTIEST and MOST UNHYGIENIC place to stay. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED and INVESTIGATED. I am dealing with full body skin rashes since last one month because they had bed bugs and dirty bedsheets. They would not change dirty bedsheets if you notice them after 10 am (checkin time is 3 pm). Unused towels had hair. Their so called renovated room had broken doors and cabinets. Dust all over the room; I spent couple of hours cleaning before we could unpack our luggage.BEWARE IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO STAY HERE; DON T BE THEIR NEXT VICTIM.Rooms: DISGUSTING , most dirtiest place , i ve ever stayed.BEAWARE ! Do not sleep on their beds.

My family used to stay at The Woodward decades ago on vacation in The White Mountains. My mom is getting up there in years so we brought her on a classic New Hampshire trip over the last several days and picked The Woodward for the nostalgia factor. The location could not be more perfect, it's a 10 minute drive from all the key areas on Franconia Notch: The Basin, Cannon Mountain, Echo Lake, The Flume, Clark's Trading Post, etc... The place still has the same charm of yesteryear but with more modern amenities. The staff was wonderful, room was super clean, pool areas were great for the kids (both indoor and outdoor), they've added in a playground and several outdoor congregation areas with comfy furniture. We didn't use them but many families were out there having fun. There's also a tennis court, wish I would have known so that I could've brought the rackets... The inclusive breakfast was great, continually stocked even though it was super busy with guests. Overall we couldn't have been happier. My only issue (very minor) is that they removed these little pay dispensers that had fish food for the fish in the pond on site. It's a little thing, but one of my fondest memories there as a kid was popping in a quarter and feeding the fish and the ducks. Hopefully they read my comment and bring back the fish food for next year! Will definitely be back here again.

Strange experience. The room was recently renovated , but what that actually meant was UNFINISHED. The kitchen was completely unusable with uninstalled appliances and no plates, cups, or utensils. The shower plumbing is poorly installed. The windows can be opened so you can listen to Hanson Brook (and all the traffic of highway 93), but without window screens the room invites moths. The bedding didn t fit the mattress and I m pretty sure they stole the blanket from my grandma circa 1973. Just did not enjoy that room.

This spot has lots of pros and a couple cons.Pro: great spot if you are here for Lincoln attractions, like Clark s and hobo railroad. Good restaurants near by too. The restaurant in the hotel is surprisingly really good if you don t want to go out. The breakfast is pretty good, nothing special but still good. The staff is wonderful, everyone was helpful and really nice. The room was good, could have been a bit cleaner but not gross. Beds were comfy and pillows were good. The pool inside was nice other than it could have been a bit warmer. Rooms are very quiet. We had dogs next to us and didn t hear them at all.Con: pets can t be left in the room, this is so stupid and it s a $20 a day charge bit ridiculous. Outdoor pool isn t heated. Not enough towels kept having to ask for more.Over all nice place to stay and I would stay here again. Just maybe not being the dog

Me and my wife stayed at the hotel at the end of the ski season, mid/late April. The price was more than reasonable. We were gutted the Tavern restaurant attached to the hotel was not open during our stay as we had heard good things, but there was plenty other food options locally. The room we stayed in was really clean had a good sized fridge and microwave. The bed was super comfy and the shower water pressure was spot on!The breakfast buffet had a good variety. The sausages were not to my liking but that could be a cultural thing. The coffee was smooth and had the right amount of kick to start our day.The sauna and pool were upon until 22:00hrs everyday and were well recieved after a long day hiking. There was always plenty of clean towels available for us to use.Understandably the outdoor facilities were unavailable, outdoor pool, tennis courts, but I am sure they are great. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and accommodating. Certainly will be back.

Just got here. VERY disappointed. Think Motel 6 but worse. Dirty bedspread, horrible shower, dingy towels, torn up doors. This is not a 3 star hotel. Have to wonder about previous reviews. Paid double what this place is worth. Not at all as pictured. Have photos but couldn't get them to post.

I'm so surprised this is a best Western hotel. Came on a bus trip for two nightsThe staff on main reception didn't seem to have a clue. So disorganised.Bar staff and catering couldn't cope, even though they knew the tour was booked months ago.No idea of dietary requirements or what a gluten free diet was. Offered me bread in the morning, nothing else apart from egg.Rooms no way on a best Western style. Very tired, the beds we weren't sure if had been changed or just refreshed from previous guests.Second night the only gluten free thing on the menu was unavailable. So ended up having nothing to eat. To late to go anywhere else and no transport. They said they had no delivery. Then sat having a drink and the person that we thought was the maintenance man was slagging the place and our arrival off, telling someone he worked there in the week and then next door at the weekend as he got more money next door. We soon realised he must be either the chef or part of the kitchen brigade as he went on to slag the trip off saying he'd had orders come in saying they want this and don't want that. Not really what you need to hear when you're on holiday. Was certainly happy to leave this motel and wouldn't have originally stayed if we weren't on a trip.Disappointed.Rooms: OK but need a refresh. Not best Western standard and certainly not a signature.Walkability: Can't walk anywhere close byFood & drinks: Don't bother
