The staff went over the boating instructions and lake laws in a decent amount of time. All the documents requiring signatures were electronic. The boat and engine were very clean and it looked brand new. The boat was also well outfitted with a stereo and navigation. There was also plenty of help as we arrived back at the marina at the end of the day.

Great service, and very nice personable folks ,that will help you out, with all your water vacation needs.Bought a nice pontoon boat, and got the best experience going through the process.Especially Jonathan Thurston , and Ashley at the front desk made the paperwork, and setting up the valetservice a breeze. The app for the valet service works great, and is super convenient.Looking forward to work and enjoy the lake with North Water Marine for many years to come !

We recently purchased a new pontoon boat from North Water Marine and we had a terrific experience! We worked with Danny who showed us several options of new and used boats and enabled us to make our decision with no pressure. After purchasing, he took a good deal of time to show us all of the boat s features. They then delivered the boat to our Paugus Bay marina. Still, as goods as our initial experience was, they really stepped up after that. On one of our first outings with our boat I hit a rock and damaged my prop. Bubbles were also coming out from one of the pontoons, so I was very worried about the extent of my damages. I called Danny and he arranged for the boat to be picked up and delivered to their service department. He called several times after that to keep me posted. It turned out that the pontoon was fine, and I just needed a new prop and minor repairs to the lower unit. All told, the damage was less than $400 and they returned it to our marina in less than a week. Couldn t be happier with North Water!!

Rented a pontoon boat for my family vacation and the experience could not have gone any smoother. Bob is the nicest man, and delivered the boat himself right to the boat launch on the lake I was staying at. Highly recommend renting from North Water Marine, and will definitely be doing it again in the future.

Lots of effort by so many of their crew to make boating fun and affordable. Family-run, owned, and operated for over 48 years.

Our son in law purchased a boat from Thurstons, who have since been bought by North Water Marine. These people are the worst. We have been on the lake for 30 plus years and have never had such a terrible experience. 10 months to get a boat repaired under warranty, every excuse in the book, never their fault. One service person would give us one story and the next day someone else would give us a different story. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Ruined our entire 2022 season with their excuses and lies. It is now May of 2023 and today it was something else wrong.

We had a great time renting a pontoon boat for the day. Drop-off and pick-up were seamless with the help of their friendly and patient staff!

I highly recommend NWM! They are a newer operation, doing excellent things with their marina, building beautiful new docks and modernizing all their facilities. During Memorial day weekend this year the entire NWM team was out in force, helping all customers and putting in 1000%. I recommend you give them a try, Alex and Bob are honest and always try to do the right thing. They are expanding and have some growing pains, but they are quickly building a fantastic experience and they deserve a shot! A++ Highly recommend this outfit!

We were very disappointed that we were not able to resolve a service item related to the purchase of our boat. In the transition from Thurston's Marina to North Water Marine, clearly the customer support has been phased out. We were initially told that parts were hard to come by due to the pandemic. There was no follow-up on the part of North Water Marine to update us on the availability of parts. When we followed up each season, we were given the runaround and finally, we received a letter to the effect that North Water Marine had no responsibility in the matter whatsoever. Thank you very little for your support and post purchase care. We do not recommend using North Water Marine.

My family rented a boat this past weekend. The boat was gorgeous! Much better than expected! It was our first time renting a boat and the employees were very knowledgeable. They made the process very easy. We would definitely rent from them again!

Rented a Coach tritoon at North Water Marine for Memorial Day Weekend. Last minute rental but North Water Marine has the dedicated staff to get it done and the Weekend was fantastic! Thanks to Danny, Skylar (hope I spelled that correctly), Shawn, Alex and the rest of the team for making us feel special! Will continue to do business with them forever!

I have been boating on the lake for 22 years and using Thurstons for about 5. Overall they have done a very good job. This year is a different story though. A month prior to our annual lake vacation I set an appointment with service to check an engine alarm. The earliest they could squeeze me in was a week before our annual vacation. No problem. I also noticed a bad power steering leak. I sent an email to service requesting they order power steering lines so they had them on hand when they had my boat. I followed up with a voicemail to service with the same request and a call to the front desk to confirm as nobody acknowledged my request. Called everyday the week before vacation to confirm the boat would be ready, I never received a call back. Arrived on vacation, they hadn't looked at the boat nor ordered the lines. Spoke to the owner Bruce Thurston and he explained I needed to understand that they sold their entire boat inventory and have been busy delivering the boats to their new customer.s That is why I have no boat for vacation. He recommended I drive the boat as is. I said sure, as long as they would cover the power steering pump if it failed due to low fluid. No way, that's on me. Now I'm on vacation with no boat. I feel better though knowing they had a great sales year and all their new customers have their new boats. That's called, in with the new and out with the folks that have been providing revenue for years. 11/30/21-Update-Thurston's Marine has since sold. It's only fair to mention that this did not occur under current ownership.

We took the first Ms. Lauren ride across the Lake for the season... what a boat! We ended up with our own scenic ride for an hour an a half... So glad that we did so... This is a must for everyone

Great family run business and helpful and friendly staff. They took my boat in for service on short notice and did everything they could to turn it around as quickly as possible. My boat runs better than new! Highly recommended, and would definitely go back to them in the future.

Over the past many years, I have rented from Thurston's, purchased a boat from Thurston's and serviced two different boats with Thurston's. Their repair services have been top-notch, when I have had a concern they have been fair and quick to react. I have been very pleased and will continue to do business with them. From Ashley in the front office, to Nick in the service department, great Customer Service all around!

Wonderful valet boat program. This was our first experience with valet. If you don't have a dock this is the way to go. The Speedy dock app makes it so easy. You simply book your time and you get a notification that your "boat has launched". When you are done, you pull up and North Water Marine puts it away. The staff are friendly, super helpful and take great care of the boats.

worst place! i had my boat there for the season, they are quick to collect your money but the services are horrible, few issues:1- when i agreed to leave my boat there from memorial day weekend to Oct this year, they charged me $2,500.00, which its okay. from day one i specifically asked them to adjust my boat trailer and i was going to pay regardless of the cost. after Several calls, emails and follow up in person, the trailer never got adjusted and i end up doing it my self. someone else i met there had his boat at there and he said he only got charged $1,000.00 for the season.2- i asked for help because the boat needed a new battery, the tech manager was rude and said i need a new battery and if i wanted the mechanic to install it would cost me extra. i bought the battery for $158.00 installed my self asked them again about making the trailer adjustments the manager told me he didn't have any time to do that.3- i asked for prices and when do i need to pick up my boat at the end of the season, i was told that i would get an email or mail with the details and pricing for winterization, storage and the cutoff date for the pick up. still haven't received anything from them. stay way from this place!

We have rented for many years through Thurstons and more often than not have found sub par service. We rented for two days and on the second day got rained out. Now I understand they can't control the weather but at least work with the customer, tried to rent for the next day so we can get our actual 2 days of boating in and they wouldn't even give a simple discount. That should be a norm in a customer service based business. Not even a $20 discount? Like I said I understand they can't control weather but when a long time customer is unhappy they should try to rectify the situation but they a re too stubborn. Completely unhappy and they will no longer receive our business. The boat was a nice pontoon boat but didn't even come equipped with a depth gauge or working speedometer.

Rented a pontoon boat for myself and 9 friends. Boat was beautiful, brand new and easy to handle. I was extremely impressed with the boat and how comfortable we all were. They had tubes for rent, which we used simply to float around when anchored. Staff was friendly. Only negative point is that we arrived at 10 and it took the ladies an hour to release us out of the dock, due to their slow safety inspection. We paid for 9am-5pm. This should Never have taken an hour, with all of us standing on the dock.

WARNING!!!- Do not use Thurstons to service your Boat under any circumstances. I made an appointmentFor service and they did not work on the boat until 3days after the day I brought it in. They replaced a few parts that cost $100 and charged me $400 in Labor. That might have been a little high, but I never complained. However, they did not fix the issue that I brought the boat in for. I called and they asked me to bring it in again and they would work on it right away. I brought it back and they kept it for 5 more days and never looked at it. The excuses given were astounding. 1. " it usually takes 5 to 7 days to service a boat after you bring it in" 2. "It rained today and we couldn't work on it" 3. " we had a number of distractions today and couldn't get to it"4 " we don't usually work on that engine" - even though they sold me the boat new.During the course of the 10days they had the boat, I called the service manager, Nick Thurston on several occasions to inquire about the status of service. He never answers the phone and I left him messages three time- he never returned one phone call.I took my boat back today without it being repaired!!!!WORST SERVICE ON THE LAKE

Awful experience renting, they completely ripped meoff. I rented a pontoon boat and they claimed I damaged the motor, charging me $300. At no time did I ground the boat or do anything that would have caused any damage, which was completely imperceptible anyhow. And I was never shown the motor prior to leaving the Marina, although they claimed I was. A total rip-off / shakedown, rent from anyone other than these guys. I wish I could leave a -5 star review

Do not rent from Thurston's Marina. I lost over $3,000 in damages that were not incurred during our rental. After having a nice day on Lake Winnipesaukee, I returned to the rental office to settle the bill. The employee at the desk was on the phone with the Marine Patrol Unit calling in massive damages to the underside of our boat.I asked politely, multiple times, to see the damages, and they refused. They then claimed that they had video footage proving that I had inspected the engine and propeller (one part of the many damages they claimed I had incurred) before setting out that morning.I asked to see the footage, as I was sure that had never occurred, and in fact, I had taken a video on my phone throughout the entire check-in process as I had had similar trouble with a rental car return in the past. They refused to show me that video and began becoming quite hostile towards me and my friends. The marine patrol officer came and viewed the video that was supposed to have me inspecting the engine and propeller (again, despite me asking multiple times, I was not allowed to see this video). After two hours waiting in the office, I was presented a bill which totaled over $3,000. I again asked to see the damages and the video of the check-in process and they refused. The next day I called the marine patrol to give further details in the case and to inform them of the upcoming lawsuit. However, when I called they claimed that there was no record of any officer being at Thurston's Marina that night.I then called Thurston's Marina to inform them of the upcoming suit, and to request that he send the video footage of the check-in process, which was refused. At the end of the conversation, the owner told me that if I pursued this suit "I may end up losing more than just some money".I will let the local authorities and courts decide whether or not this was a fair process, but before that suit, I simply wanted to write this review to caution anyone against renting from this business.

I rented from Thurstons last week I rented the boat for 5 days. I am an idiot and was not reading the map correctly and accidentally hit a rock damaging the skeg on the boat. I was lucky the damage wasn't worse but very nervous since I placed a $1500 damage fee on my CC. EEK! This could have made for a very bad end to the vacation. Thrustons was great I pulled up at the dock informed the girl we had some damage to report. She said it happens sometimes and would have to refer me to the service department. Service manager came out and surveyed the damage and charged a very reasonable price for the damages under 100 dollars! I was glad to pay the 100 and will be renting from thurstons again as thye are very upstanding. My advice to other person who left a bad review because HE damaged the boat. If you are upfront with people and dont try to lie your way out of a situation its usually beneficial to you. Saying the damage was there before you rented the boat is a POS move and only makes you look like an ass. You're essentially blaming the dock girls for not doing their job. you should be ashamed.

Great local spot to stop on the water for a some gas! We towed one of our jetskis here using another jetski and their crew was incredibly helpful. Got some gas & they helped us with a jump start! Very friendly & great for last minute fill up. Thanks Giana & Alex at North Water Marina!!

Please do not rent from this Marina. They rented us a damaged boat this past weekend and when we were driving in the lake ( a bit of rough waters)a piece of tin off the boats front door flew out at us and actually cut 2 of our kids. Upon returning the boat, not only did they not apologize, but they tried to charge us for both the doors damage and the dent that was already on the boat before we rented it. And of coarse they want to charge us 3x of what it would cost to repair the damage because they are doing the labor, again being of no negligence on our part. They are dishonest, rude and not to be trusted.

WOW! Came home to hear the good news that Thurston's Service Dept delivered our Cobalt across Lake Winnipesaukee to our boat slip - saved me 5 hours of roundtrip car driving (what a drag!!!!) and an hour in the boat (the opposite of a drag, actually). Such great service - thanks so very, very much!!!!
