This family owned business has the highest of integrity that is unfortunately rare in this industry. My alternator died and they were there in less than 30 minutes. They actually took a car off the lift to put my car on, found a parts place with my alternator, and installed it that afternoon. They even stayed after closing to finish it to get me on my way. I should mention they had to disconnect my A/C system to do the alternator and then reconnect and recharge the entire A/C system. I was shocked how reasonable the bill was. I have used them several times, including towing my motorcycle, and they have always been timely responding and helping when they can with the issue. They are the best!

I m from out of state and ran into a car issue while up here. Chuck was so nice got me in an hour after calling, test drove my car, assessed my transmission fluid, performed the diagnostic testing for my own reassurance. An honest and fair business! So, I don't usually leave reviews but I felt compelled to leave one for these guys. We were in Laconia the last weekend of July 2022 and our van broke down at 10pm on Sat night. I called Gulbicki's on Sunday morning (because honestly they were the only ones that listed Sunday hours). They went and got the van from the parking lot it was in and towed it back to their place. I got a call that the water pump was shot and they couldn't get the part until Monday. Anyway they had it fixed by 5pm on Monday even though they were busy and it was running better than ever for much less money than I had anticipated including the tow. Great service, more than reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this business, thanks again.Service: Engine repair

My car broke down while I was on vacation owner was a little grumpy that was ok. 12-18-2021 Towing service superstars! Bob and Chuck helped my bride today when her vehicle died alongside Route 11 in Alton, we have AAA and called them first but their dispatch failed twice so she called Gulbicki's and they kindly came out of their way from four towns out and safely delivered her and the vehicle home. Five stars for each of these guys! Price was very reasonable and we will recommend them to anyone who has a need for towing. If you find this review helpful please give it a thumbs up!

My family and I were leaving NH to head home to MA after a long vacation. We blew a radiator hose and were stranded 3 hours from home. Everyone at Gulbicki s were so helpful. The owner went above and beyond regular service to make sure we were not left on the side of the road with two kids in the middle of summer. The service was exceptional. We felt like family. We have never received the kind of service and hospitality at any other repair shop. We are so very grateful to have met everyone at Gulbicki s. The repair was done very quickly, and fairly priced. Highly recommend Gulbicki s Towing & Auto Repair!

Blew my hydraulic clutch line, called them for a tow and service. The owner says he can pick it up but he s about 2 days out on repair, I m from MI so what can I do? Driver shows up, Jordan I believe, starts talkin trucks and next gen Cummins, I knew right then I was in good hands. Get to the shop and the owner finds out I m from out of town, no promises but he will do his best. My wife and I head over to Weirs beach for a much needed refreshment. Long story short, couple hours later, I pick up the for a very reasonable price. All he asked was for a google review, I d give these guys a million of em, old school straight shooters, a lost quality in todays world. Our rental car developed a slow leak in one of the tires while we were on vacation. The rental company's emergency road side assistance was of no help but thankfully Gulbicki's was! Not only were they able to get us in quickly, but they found and repaired the problem quickly too. And on top of that the owner gave us excellent advice on where to go to see the best leaf colors. We're from the South and we've always been told that "Yankees" are not very friendly, but they don't come any more friendly, fair or professional than Gulbicki's! Thank you for getting us on our way so quickly - and the leaf advice was spot on!Service: Tires

Needed a tow, stuck in a ditch, tow truck driver chose to pull it out forward over two huge rocks instead of pulling back out the way it got stuck causing more damage to the vehicle . The vehicle was dragged over the boulders lifting it right off the ground which was not necessary and could have been avoided by pulling out the other way. Total disregard for customers property. Then, he strongly suggests to have it towed to his yard saying at 4 pm the dealership would be closed on a weekday so they could make more money from the tow charging storage fees and possibly adding another tow to have it repaired. To further his point he said the insurance will pay for it all , but here s the problem paying unnecessary fees for storage will eventually cause rates to increase effectively increasing rates for insurance policies for everyone and totally not it anyone s best interest. This company doesn t have your back and doesn t respect your property in my opinion. They have you in a vulnerable position and try to take advantage of it. They only accept cash payments if you decide not to be towed to their yard or if a business or insurance company is not involved with the tow.

As a young female, it is difficult to trust many car shops and I have been given outrageous prices and unnecessary work from shops before. This is my first place to call when I have any car issue because I TRUST HIM. I was recommended this place by a friend and am so grateful for it. He fixed my tire when a nail was stuck (without an appointment, he helped me right away and I was still on time for work), has done other repairs for me for an honest price especially compared to other shops, he gives information and knowledge about my car and what work I do need done and what can wait, he understands that car repairs and money can be difficult for people and he doesn t take advantage of them. My windshield needed replacing and although he doesn t offer this service HE called ME back with a referral to a place that he trusts. They deserve your business. I have moved farther away from the shop than I was previously and it is still my first choice. They are hardworking, honest people and they treat you like family.Services: Transmission, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes

Gulbicki's Towing to the rescue!! On a day when all towing companies were out straight with work, Chuck cared and helped us. He told me "even if I can't get to you I will make some calls to try to find you a tow". This goes above and beyond. He actually was able to get one of his guys (Bob) to come faster than expected. Bob was a pro! and towed the car in a careful and expedient manner. Other towing companies could take a lesson from Gulbicki's on how to treat people in their time of need (even if they are unable to service them.) Thank you again Chuck and Bob. Merry Christmas!

Horrible time. It s a lot about helping until it s time to actually help. Chuck refused to let me give him the additional 80 bucks for my car after being quoted at 412 , buying the 4 new tires he demanded I needed for the sticker. Held my car for a week and didn t even do a single piece of work cause he needed to plow snow to make money to take care of the trucks he totaled. Just seemed like at the last minute HE was in a pinch for money and me a mother of 4 kids who I have to drive in this car couldn t get my work done because he just didn t feel like it.Service: General repairs & maintenance

They were superb! They greeted me with a cold water, took great care of my vehicle, and even fed me a hamburger during my wait. My CRV was fixed within 24 hours on a Saturday during bike week. 100% recommend this company.

Charged my insurance over 1000 dollars to pull my truck off the side of the road and tow it about 3 miles to their shop. Charged 100 dollars for accident clean up when not one part fell off my truck and I was there and they certainly didn't do any cleanup. Refused to tow to my house which was closer than their yard. One of the charges was a 400 dollar labor fee on top of the 225 dollar tow fee. 100 dollar fee because they said they used a snatch block? They have a contract with the Gilford of so they think they can charge whatever they want. Driver was rude also. Was an easy recovery just broke something in the wheel and was in the runnoff just barely off the roadside.

Now i see why the police love their service, they're as inconvenient to the "customer" as they can be. Not only do they require an upfront cash payment to release your car, even if you're not the one who requested it to be towed, but also increase the price by $40 for every passing day. I will NEVER willingly use their towing service.

Great service, I was leaving NH on that Sunday but had a brake problem. They fit me in and gave me updates on whether they could do it that day. Ended up only needing a bolt that fell out and they charged me very little for it. Overall great, honest service!

He is the best most honest mechanic around. Never tries to pull a fast one and is always honest and direct with his quotes and damage assessments. And the work is always solid. Never had any issues with any repair I've ever had done here.

I was in a pinch with a busted water pump labor day weekend and the only place within 50 miles that answered the phone was Gulbiki's. My experience with them was one of the most solid I've had with an auto repair shop. Without going into to much detail these gentlemen went way above and beyond what i could've expected. I am satisfied that they did everything possible to save me money and mitigate the annoyance of being stuck with a broke down ride, including telling me how to temporarily get my truck to stop overheating to get to the shop (40 miles) to avoid the towing price. The repair was done in a timely fashion with an eye to detail that could perhaps be replicated by another mechanic but not at the low price i was quoted. From being nice to my dog to offering me help getting to a good cheap meal these guys are the real deal. you should consider yourself lucky to breakdown near Gulbiki's.

I have never had any business related interactions with this business, however, I recently was run off the road by one of their vehicles. Merging onto 93S, there was no one behind the truck and instead of slowing down to let me in, since I had nowhere else to go, it kept driving and ran me into the grass on the side of the highway. As I pulled out behind it, it hit the brakes, despite not being able to see the brake lights since it wasn t connected to the car being towed. It also did not have its yellow hazard lights on despite the fact it was towing a vehicle. When I passed the truck, the driver was yelling at me out the window. Very dangerous and very unprofessional.

Absolutely terrible place, owner gave my wife the run around about two weeks, held her car their gave a price then started upping the price, followed by telling my wife to go f her self when she tried to explain that our kids were missing school, would not recommend this place. Very unprofessional

Very professional and honest... The guy is a rockstar in the way he treats his customer....we went their with car breakdowns 5 states away from where we live. He kind of turned the day around...most people would try to take advantage of our situation but this guy I don't think so. Our problem was resolved in like 15 minutes and we are on our way back home. Thank you
