Got charged for an oil change only to have my oil light come on a month later. They left me with less than a quart of oil and the air filter was still on it from the previous oil change at a different company. Lucky my engine didn t seize. I will never have service done at this location or any Midas ever. Scam artist also insisted I needed a new muffler or it wouldn t passInspection.

I love employees at my dealership. They made mistakes & it cost them to repair those. I had my regular free multipoint inspection which U get multiple pages of results. A brand new service advisor so I asked multiple questions about results that I watched the technician place on desk. She never even looked at it. Merley saying yes, they are perfect etc. I called her out on it. As she was blatantly lying to my face. I received a large estimate to repair my 2 yr old exhaust. Told I had 2 holes. A huge one,(hands mimicking size so big) the 2nd one wasn't as bad but I wouldn't pass inspection. I am reviewing my inspection printout that states I am all set to pass inspection 100%. It goes on. Well I spoke to Lori the service advisor at Midas. Lori is very nice & upfront. My car goes in & we cont talking. Lori made a statement that shocked me! Lori said your quote is your price. We never charge more than you were quoted. WHAT!!?? #1 BEST I've heard in so long. At last minute I said oh I need a wiper, I keep forgetting. Lori said one or both. Both, I assume like headlights one goes the other is going too. I asked if it would save me if I ran to auto zone & purchased. Nope you will pay what we pay & the guys will change them @ no cost. It's so quick. My repair I knew was one of those not convenient ones. My GF's were picking me up so I inquired about the bill. I had the $ put aside but I still had a fear of my auto pays. That is when Lori had said your quote is your cost. We never add extra fees. I actually paid my bill hrs b4 my car was ready! Nowhere else is that possible. I know because when I was home I started calling around. Midas is #1 in price guarantee! I inquired b4 leaving about a time estimate, including it doesn't matter I just don't want to miss your call. 1/12-2 hrs more. I'd already been there an hr. Lori called & was in the quoted time. I can't express my gratitude . Those who know me know my mouth never stops. I did ask Lori "do you need me to be quiet so you can get your work done? Cuz I won't stop. If you walk away I'll just keep going. Even my cats sneak away!" She got a good laugh then I did as she said I got kids, I can multi task. What appears as maybe the head technician, I would say an older normally(but he appears my age) Grey haired gentleman. I regret I don't have his name in front of me as I left in my glove box. What a pleasant gentleman. He spoke w/me when at my first visit. Explaining exactly what my car needed & he also said we can do it for $__.00. My dealership I've always assumed has a strict rule that the techs don't interact w/customers. I can attest that it is strictly enforced, perhaps that it's even a fireable offense. I requested to speak w/tech & was flat out denied the chance. I was told I am your service advisor & am perfectly able to answer all your questions! Right I just caught you in 4 blunt lies & I'm going to rely never mind believe a word from your mouth!!?? Never been back. Midas does charge a bit more for some services but for my piece of mind & the accurate knowledge of being 100% safe behind the wheel, it is 200% worth it. I can't say enough about Midas. I'm not alone as an individual tried for a walk in oil change and they were booked the entire day. That's another highlight if they have an opening, walk ins are welcomed. I recall when Midas was a walk in service for oil changes. Ok that dated me!! If you get a gut feeling, or something seems incorrect. Call Midas for an honest second opinion. I guarantee if your reg garage left you w/questions, you'll be getting serviced at Midas. I just want to say again Midas was honest, confirmed my doubt about needed repairs and saved me $700!! Yup $700!! If you can't speak to the tech working on your vehicle just leave. People die daily in auto accidents/malfunctions don't become a #.

Evidently they just do lick and sticks here. nothing was checked for my inspection they didn't even put in on a lift or they would have seen that my brake line was leaking badly. I was supposed to start a new job the next day now I'm out of job and a car until i can get it fixed at a real mechanic. They also took my car for a joy ride for no reason. I certainly wont be back and will be reporting them to the state.

Had a broken tailpipe on a 2013 Prius ahead of a trip to Boston. Muffler needed replacement, but was special order so would be a few days. Midas welded the tailpipe as a short-term fix, took about an hour, letting me take my trip. AND they applied the cost to ordering the new part! Even the in-store coffee (Keurig) was good. My new go-to place for car repairs.

I wouldn't even give them a star. My older conversion van that I recently bought needed an oil change and the van was trying to overheat but I never let it get that far. Made an appointment to get it looked at and when I brought it in the guy came out front and said that his lifts were too old to lift it, even though they had a 1 ton dually on their lift. If you don't want to work on my van then just say so. I travel for work and waiting to get in the shop meant I had to change my schedule around and my bosses were not happy about this shop leading us on. I have always had a great experience going to Midas. The staff is very prompt on the phone and in person. They stick to your appointment time and get you in and out as quickly as possible. You can definitely rely on them to get the job done for a great price too!

Recieved an oil change, brake eval, and cabin air filters. They had that done within 60 minutes and charged me fairly. They were friendly with customer service and scheduled me quickly. They offered coffee and hot chocolate inside. All in all a great experience and one I'll be repeating during my next oil change.

I've been coming here for years and NEVER had an issue. The mechanics KNOW what they're doing and they're honest. If something is wrong with your car they'll SHOW you. The waiting area is also nice, there's a TV and the people there are always pleasant to talk to and so kind. Sometimes there's also a dog there who is SUPER friendly and sweet. I was pretty happy that while they were replacing my front brakes I got to sit there petting her. I highly recommend Midas if you need work done on your car. Always a great experience and honest people loving what they do.

5/5 you will not find a better place for your auto work. I have been coming here for years, and they continue to amaze me with their honesty. I just got new tires and brakes put on, and my old tires were wearing so well that they knew that I didn't need an alignment. Knowing this they wrapped up my order and checked my. When I asked if they needed an alignment, he confirmed we were all good. NEVER in my life have I had places say this to me, and this is easily the 3rd or 4th time where they could have gotten more money from me-and not only did they not try, THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO NOT EVEN PRESENT like they are trying to get more money from you. 120% best place ever. I have gone to our local Keene Midas on numerous occasions. I have found the staff and mechanics to be friendly, trustworthy, and professional. When my son had a problem because of the work of another Midas franchise, they checked and fixed the problem gratis. I am glad to recommend them.

Went here for an inspection and help with my brakes. The manager was very helpful and explained some issues I was having thoroughly so I could address them according to my budget and ability to perform. Previously I had been getting inspections by a station that barely looked at the truck. Needless to say I failed, but then again its now in much better shape. After being quoted an OUTRAGEOUS amount of over $1200 at another shop who failed my state inspection for brakes. I knew I needed to take my vehicle to Midas as they have always treated me right. This may be a dumb rule of thumb, but I always trust a CLEAN shop. It usually is a great sign, and this is true here.Firstly -When I moved to Keene about a decade ago, at some point I needed to get my transmission checked. I was having an intermittent problem that would occasionally make a grinding noise that I at least knew was coming from the transmission but only happened occasionally. I had taken my car to FIVE other shops describing the problem and not one of them could tell me what was wrong. The technicians here were able to precisely describe the exact issue on my vehicle within minutes and tell me exactly what was wrong based on the description I gave, then taking a quick look at it and briefly running it. Then told me how my vehicle was going to fail. They specifically even told me they could repair it, but given the year, make, and model of the vehicle - it may or may not be worth doing that. This saved me a TON of money as I was able to trade my vehicle in at a dealer whose mechanics also failed (like the previous 5 shops) to diagnose the issue and I got fantastic deal for my failing trade in. (not many win so well against a car dealership)THIS TIME - I was totally suspicious the OTHER mechanic I went to was trying to take me for a ride on the price and boy was I right. Midas was able to the same job for about 60% of the price the other place was going to charge for replacing rear rotors, pads and calipers. I saved about $400 and I believe the quality of the job was higher than I would have gotten at the other shop who also always would play games with making me wait around.Never again - Go to this Midas. I had a simple repair and not only was I overcharged they didn't install it correctly. They left glue on my car and in cabin. Had to go to new shop to get it fixed Mark the manager didn't want to make it right. There's a reason they can get you in so quick...no one comes back for the second time. Stay away, dishonest and bad work. Never again. You cheated me once.Service: Auto exhaust system repair

I needed to resolve an exhaust problem on my Escape, and I was sure it would prevent me from passing my annual inspection. It was getting late, and I normally use another shop only due to their location to my office - but my normal shop could not get to me for several weeks.I called Midas in Keene to see if they could fit me in (on short notice, same day if possible) to install an exhaust system and then do a state inspection. They had an opening, and fit me right in, and I dropped it off during lunch, and got back.Midas finished the work quickly and within a few hours, it was all finished and ready for pickup -- at a reasonable cost, too! Very pleased with their work, and ability to fit me in!I'm going to consider Midas for other work they can do for me, from now on!Services: Exhaust, Vehicle safety inspection

I lost my brakes on Thursday night after the Midas shop was closed. I made an appointment for Friday afternoon and Mark and Lori got me in Friday morning. They had my truck fixed before the time of my original appointment and Mark called me twice to let me know what they found. The up front pricing was also great. I went to get my brakes checked out. The receptionist was extremely nice. When the mechanic was done looking, he told me that I didn't need new brakes, but new tires. He could easily have lied to me about it, to make a quick buck, but he didn't. I appreciate the honesty, and I am going to be returning to them.

The work was done right the first time. ! Can schedule right away. Don't have to leave your car for hours. Comfortable waiting area. Will show you what your car needs and it's done . I've been going here for my vehicles for a few years now. They have been great until now. I was quoted $98/hr and 2 hrs max to replace a rear impact bar and one bracket that would have required welding. They had me procure the parts from Toyota which I did and paid for directly. Needless to say the bill for the labor came to $300 and change. They told me that the bracket did not need replacing (that is the hard part). What was replaced (impact bar) required a simple removal of the bumper panel and 6 nuts. After contesting the amount it was dropped to $212 which is slightly more than quoted for both the impact bar and bracket replacement. They open at 8am and I got a call at 9:20am saying my vehicle was ready. There was not even close to 2 hrs labor. I feel taken and will consider other auto repair options in the future. Three stars is given here in consideration of past positive experiences.

I used to bring my cars to the Midas in Lebanon, NH and was always very satisfied with the service I got there. Even if they charge a bit more than some other places (so I'm told), I never had anything to complain about regarding their results or how they treated me. They never tried to buffalo me into getting services I didn't need, and their work always held up.I'm glad to say my experience with the Midas in Keene, NH was the same. I brought two cars in for mileage-based dealer-recommended maintenance. One car (which I've never brought back to the dealer for service) understandably needed pretty much every recommended replacement, but the other, which we've been diligent about maintaining on the dealer's schedule, turned out to pretty much just need the oil change. They could have gone down the list and replaced everything whether it needed it or not, never telling me, and I wouldn't have known any better, but instead the mechanic told me that the car was in immaculate condition and nothing needed to be done.He did mention the brakes were coming up on needing replacement, but didn't pressure me at all, and even removed the wheels to measure the pads and assured me that it wasn't a pressing need. Another thing I love about Midas: they will bring you in and show you what is going on. They don't walk over with a part that could be from your car or from some box of faulty parts (like some quick-change oil places do with air filters, ahem) to try and trick you into thinking something is wrong. They explain to you what you're looking at, what it means, and what if anything should be done. All of this, and I was only charged for "parts" and labor on the oil change. As long as I get service like this, I don't care if Joe Blow down the street charges less; I'm sticking with Midas.

After numerous visits over the last 6 years, I think it is about time that I write a long overdue review of the great crew at Midas in Keene. I have two cars well past their prime and Mark and his crew have always done an excellent job of taking care of them. Today was typical. Yesterday I called and explained that my brakes were making a grounding noise and would probably need rotors and pads. He made an appointment for me for today and everything was taken care of as promised. He even found out that the pads were put on a couple of years ago and were covered under a life warranty savings me a good piece of change. Good people and great service.Services: Exhaust, Brakes

Today, I stopped into your Keene New Hampshire location. I was on a trip with my 9 year old twins to Madam Sherri Forest and noticed after leaving my car was making a terrible noise. I wanted to make sure it was safe seeing I had my kids in the car with me so I stopped in and asked how much it would be to have them look at it quickly (although being it a day hiking trip I left my cards home and only had a little cash on me) the gentleman behind the counter told me he usually charges 49.99 for the service, but he would gladly take it for a spin down the road for me and see if he could figure it out. He quickly took my keys and drove down the street. Moments later came back to tell me I had a rock lodged under the rim and to give him a minute and he'd see if his manager would allow him to blow it out quickly free of charge. He came back out and took it in to the shop and worked quickly while I went in and spoke with the manager briefly still frazzled from thinking the car was broken. The manager at this location was incredibly friendly and helped calm me down even offered me a cup of tea while my kids and I waited. 5 minutes later and we were on our way back to Maine. I usually don't post to businesses to give feed back but the kindness your employees showed me today, made me believe there are good people left in this world! I sadly did not get the gentleman's name who drove my car and fixed it for me but the man is amazing as well. Thank you so much to the guys who helped me out today! Ya'll are incredible!

I have been coming to this location for a few years. I usually only come for oil changes, but I always make an appointment first. Sometimes I arrive 10 min before my appointment and it seems like they are done with the oil change before my appointment was even supposed to start!They never try to sell me unneeded items or tell me my car has issues when it does not. The last time I went, I needed a new oil cap. The manager called the dealership, sent an employee to get the cap and had it back at Midas in no time. They didn't charge me any extra, just the cost from the dealership. I love this place!When my mother moved here, I suggested getting her oil changes here too and she has more great things to say than I do.Good people, great service, wonderful and dependable work.

I used them for used vehicle inspection before purchase. It was cheaper than I expected and they had 4 mechanics inspect the car simultaneously while I watched, very thorough and informative, confirmed all alleged work from dealer and then some, and found one minor area of rust on exhaust that allowed me to negotiate final price. They basically green-lighted the purchase 6 months ago and I have had no issues since then. Top notch service.

Incredible service! We needed to get our car inspected before heading out of town and no one was able to help us, except Midas! The entire staff was wonderful. The waiting room was clean and tidy, there's plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot, and the service was not only super fast but extremely pleasant. We showed up only an hour before closing and Rose at the front desk worked her magic to make our dreams come true. Again everyone was wonderful, but Rose was the star of the show. She was knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and very friendly. I have to admit, Midas was not my first choice, but after this experience they go right to the top of the list! Thank you everyone at Midas for all your help!
