I loveeeee it here. I had been struggling with my car making weird noises and they spent two hours looking for the problem trying every possible test. They are extremely nice and truly care about their customers.

one of the only shops i trust and use in the greater seacoast new hampshire area! i ve had many positive experience with Durham Village Garage, but my most recent was absolutely excellent. Had a frustrating electrical issue with my Toyota and the mechanics at the shop went well out of their way to not only find and fix the issue, but did it in a fair way that kept the price reasonable. honestly, couldn t have asked for better service! highly recommended!

i had an issue with my car hood and needed it fixed asap so i could return back home. I was offered a quick spot by calling ahead and mark did a wonderful job of getting my hood fixed really quick. Very nice people and mark knew what he was doing. 10/10

I had a small fix that needed to be done, and while I was there they were also able to fit me in for an inspection. Without a doubt the nicest and most honest people I ve dealt with. I will be going here from now on and highly recommend them!

Took my car here to get state inspected where they failed me and quoted me $2,200 for repairs. I took it to my hometown mechanic and he is doing the work for 5 times cheaper. If you are a college student in need of inspection or repairs take your vehicle elsewhere.

I hate to review a place with a bad review. But I had to get my car inspected and I chose this location due to it being so close to UNH. All summer I had the repairs that needed to be done on my car, so my car was ready for inspection. They ended up failing my car because my rear breaks and rotors needed to be replaced. So I went to buy the things it needed. When I got home for my dad to do them he was shocked that they failed my car for this reason. My rear breaks and rotors were completely fine. They also failed me because my windshield wipers left a streak on my window. The next day it was raining while I was driving, come to find out my windshield wipers were completely fine. They also failed me for my front grill having a crack in it. My grill is completely intact and not loose. They also failed me for my exhaust system. Which was one of the issues I had prior, it was something I repaired over the summer.My dad was shocked and upset how they failed my car for these things. I decided to take it to the garage I usually go to at home. They passed my car with flying colors. The inspector was also surprised they failed me. He told me my breaks and rotors were almost brand new. He said he didn t notice anything wrong with my windshield wipers nor did he have a problem with my exhaust system. He said that there was nothing wrong with my front grill.My point being, this place is a complete scam. They are scamming college students in order to get business. If you go to this place for an inspection and they fail it, get a second opinion. I hope people see this before they go here.

I brought my car here to get an oil change and one day after they changed my oil I got another warning that my oil was low. I traveled maybe 10 miles between leaving the shop and the next warning. I brought my car to a reputable mechanic, who showed me what normal oil looks like verse the oil that was in my car after the oil change I got here. Normal oil should be golden and run smoothly, the oil in my car that came out of my car was black. They either did a horrible job or they didn t do the job at all. I don t recommend this place to anyone who cares about their car and their safety. No one in the shop wears masks and it s very unsanitary inside, they lack customer service skills, and besides that and according to other reviews they put peoples safety and the health of automobiles at risk.Service: Oil change

Amazing and friendly staff, super knowledgeable. Never reviewed before, but had to for this place. Had a car fail inspection at Jiffy Lube, gave the list of failures to the staff and they took care of the rest, and trust me, it is a junker car (2004 Sedan, 150,000 odometer). Got it fixed for half of the quote my normal mechanic. They even built a custom muffler for the car, since the muffler has been discontinued for the model. I can t see why anyone wouldn t recommend this place. Huge thumbs up!Services: Exhaust, Tires, Auto exhaust system repair, General repairs & maintenance

I had such a great experience at Durham Village Garage. My car battery had died and I got it towed to the garage. They were able to replace the battery very quickly and were super nice! I will be going here again!

Everyone I worked with here to get my car to pass inspection was very nice. They clearly cared to do a good job, and did so. Furthermore, they didn t overcharge me. If I ever have issues with my car again, they can count on my business.

I always bring my car for inspection here. It is convinient. Just schedule an appointment before coming here. Mostly they are busy.

Would give 0 stars if possible. My girlfriend had to get her car inspected and we chose here because it was close to UNH. First of all, she had to wait a week to be scheduled for a state inspection. Secondly, it took an hour to do an inspection. I have never had an inspection take more than 30 mins. They failed her for rust on her rocker panels even though the rust very very minimal (small 2 inch by 4 inch patch) on bottom side of panel. l have had cars pass with much much more rust. Most importantly, they broke the valve stem on a set of tires that was less than 2 years old with about 30k miles on them and claimed the tires were too old. This is a very shady business that will try and take advantage of your gender to get more money out of you. Do NOT recommend going here. If you do not believe me read all the other reviews for this place. Should have listened before coming here.

Just a simple state inspection but I was happy with their communication from the moment I contacted them. It took a few days to get in, which is fine - in case you haven't noticed, most businesses are short-staffed. Anyhow, everything went well and they were super nice. If you are a UNH student like me, DO NOT go there because it is close by and you are too lazy to drive a couple more miles. They WILL scam you!! They failed my car inspection to get me to replace the catalytic converters and the entire exhaust system for $2.2K when it was a $5 fix to replace a gasket and the sealant between the catalytic convertor and flex pipe. Side note, a gasket cost $5 in AutoZone and they charged me $26 for it without labor fee.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Auto exhaust system replacement

My daughter had a fender bender across the street. Since I was not close by I told her to go to Durham Village Garage and ask for help.They bend the hood back in place and checked the brakes and other features right away.No charge!!!!

About a year ago I came here to get my car (with ~15k miles) inspected and they told me I needed to replace my brake pads and that it would cost upwards of $500. I told them I'd take my car to my family's shop back home bc I can get a discount there, but they still charged me for the inspection and said to come back to get the sticker. I took my car to my family shop and the guys there told me there wasn't a single thing wrong with any part of the car, especially the brake pads; he said they looked practically brand new and had no wear and tear whatsoever. I paid another $40 there for the inspection and never went back to Durham village garage. Also I second the other reviewer who said the place was dirty

So, I was working in Durham on the RiverWoods project and I needed an oil change done. Preferably while I was working so I googled oil change near me and Durham Village Garage came up about half a mile from my job site. I called them and they said bring my truck down, I informed them that I needed the truck back by 330-4pm and it was 15 past noon they gave me a price and told me they will call me. I got a call around 2pm saying my truck was ready to go. Truck was good with a reminder sticker, it was a pleasure doing business with these guys. Thank you.

Visited many times.Oil change was quick and simple.Changed wiper blade when I pulled up.Brake job was better and cheaper than dealer (dealer didnt fix problem).Etc.I trust them to do a great job!

I brought my car to them because something was causing my battery to overcharge. I had to get it towed in and they told me that they didn't see anything wrong other than my battery not being able to hold a charge. They told me to try replacing the battery despite it only being 3 months old, but I tried it anyways and the problem is still happening. I went to them because I am a UNH student and it was closest, but I'd recommend finding somewhere else if you can.

I brought my vehicle in for unknown reasons. I was told the fuel rail needed to be replaced. After paying to have this done I picked up my vehicle. The next day I took ot for a short drive. The check engine light came on which was not on when I first brought it to them. I called to let them know the original problem was still at play and now I have a check engine light on. I brought it back to them. They told me after running some tests they believed I had an issue with my exhaust. They were going to take my exhaust down to test this thery. They reported to me that by doing this it concluded there thery and they suggested I bring it to a place that specializes in exhaust work. So I did just that. The new place informed me that Durham Village had cut the bolts to get my exhaust down and so to repair it was going to be much more work do to have to drill out ect to repair the damage they was done by cutting the bolts. No one asked for my permission before cutting bolts. If they could not get the exhaust down they should have informed me and let me bring it to the custom exhaust place rather then creating an additional cost for .e. after all of this is said and done and I've now had to pay to get my exhaust fixed the original problem as well as the secondary problem of a check engine light 1,000 dollars later is still not resolved. It also took them a week to find a repair a my fuel rail which my father found in half a day. They also didn't bother to inform me that they finally found the part so my father wasted half a day looking for the part for no reason due to Durham village garage inability to communicate with the customer.Service: Exhaust

Out of state visiting UNH; pulled in with an odd plastic rubbing sound in wheel well. It's hot as heck outside and just want to know of I can make it back to Boston. George, the owner says they'll take a look. Before I know it, car is on a lift and I'm sitting in the waiting area. After 20 minutes, car is fixed, and well. Total charge under $50. And everyone was polite, professional, and communicated well. If I lived in Durham, this is where I'd go. Outstanding!
