I went to them for years, and they were always very good people and did a great job. I recently went in with a new car for mt first oil change. They started taking it all apart, then tell me they don't have my oil filter so I have to go somewhere else. They close me up and I go home. As I get home my car is smoking like crazy, so I go straight for the hood. They didn't put my oil cap back on and it boiled over all over my clean engine, I'm lucky I didn't run completely out of oil. They also broke the clips on my engine cover so I have to replace that. Moral of the story, you're better off doing the oil change yourself, and I will never bring another vehicle to them again.

Dover Prompto is hands down the BEST place to bring your vehicle for an oil change. When they say 10 minutes they mean it! I ve been bringing my vehicles in for 7-8+ years and it s always the same staff- Each one is kind, knowledgeable, open and honest about what your vehicle needs, which I greatly appreciate. 10/10

Always awesome and fast service. If you have things like windshield wipers fluid/windshield wipers etc on hand that you haven't put on or in yet they offer to pop them on for free during!

I had never been to Prompto before, and I was very pleased with the professionalism, directions and speed. My car is very happy now and I will be going back next time. Oh, and did I mention affordable?!

Full synthetic for $53, can t beat it.Been getting my Oil Change here for over 2 years. Fast and thorough. Check fluids and filters as needed. Usually in and out in under 30.

This Prompto refused to help two older women who broke down directly across from near Chili s. a young woman and man helped push my car to safety.. I went to the manager to ask if someone could help. The need oil light was on.. The manager refused to help. One of his employees offered to help after his shift was over. He never came. They never helped. Finally someone from another business helped. I needed oil was all.. Prompto s manager was rude and unhelpful! Why this second review? What they did was very wrong! I m from Dover,. The character of that Prompto manger was poor. There were two witnesses who saw the whole ordeal . It DID happen! An apology is what was warranted. Not lies

Terrible manager.. Two elderly women broke down at night right across the street from them.. They needed either oil or transmission fluid.. The MANAGER REFUSED TO HELP THESE TWO ELDERLY WOMEN One employee said he come across and help AFTER his shift.. NO ONE CAME TO HELP THE WOMEN..ALL THE EMPLOYEES LEFT WITHOUT EVEN CHECKING ON THE TWO OLDER LADIES TERRIBLE.. BELOW THE OWNER OR MANAGER are either NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE SITUATIONNO ONE HELPED THE ELDERLY LADIES.. In fact They will come by tomorrow and converse.. Also there were two other witnesses .Integrity ? Nope

Raf, the manager of the Dover locations runs an amazing operation here. I was in and out in under 10 minutes for an oil change, filter replacement and got washer fluid topped off. Everything was performed effectively and efficiently at an unbeatable price. Cannot recommend enough.

I had trusted Prompto to keep me going on a delivery job that sometimes puts on 150-200 miles a day. I was very disappointed, especially living in a rather remote location right now, that the last time my oil filter was only finger-tightened according to my mechanic. A massive leak resulted over a week and because I d always trusted Prompto I thought it was my transmission until my low fluid light came on and my car was making dying noises (and yes, I check my car weekly).I always tipped the crew $10 except this time. It s utterly disgusting to me that negligence with such a basic part of an oil change almost killed my car within a week. If I don t have the money to have a real mechanic do the same I may come back here (as in a true emergency) but if so I will demand I do not have the same people work on my vehicle. Just because my car is older doesn t mean I can t make $800 a week with it and I don t deserve second class treatment.To be fair they offered to make it right . Unfortunately an unknown amount of damage has been done to the lifespan of the car, again an older one, and I might not have been able to drive to get it fixed with such a bad leak in the first place.This one time was my only bad experience so I can t give them a fewer stars than 5 (they really deserve 6) BUT YOU NEED TO PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF BETTER OR FIND BETTER WORKERS. My work schedule and pay for the week were affected.I may as well find another mechanic nearby to service my vehicle (and fix his honest mistakes, they do happen as they did here) as this offer was too little, too late. Sorry Prompto, but this time just stank.Service: Oil change

Called around a few places in Dover and Prompto had the best price. They have service pits instead of lifts so they get under the car way faster and really live up to their name. Plus service was really friendly. :)

The service is quick by the time you get comfortable in your car the oil change is dome. Also they accept tips only in cash cannot add to your card payment. Good service.

I found these guys out of necessity as my local mechanic was on vacation. The service was very quick. I've spent more time in a Dunkin drive thru. The staff is courteous and appear to like their jobs! No upsell of other services. I'll go back in 3000 miles.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

My previous few experiences at this location were less than professional, so I used to drive further to the Rochester NH location, and those guys are still great in my opinion. Today, the Dover location swayed me with courteous, quick, and organized professionalism. I'll be using this location on a regular basis (as long as nothing untoward happens as a result of my oil change, which I do not anticipate).

Went to Prompto in Dover today. There were no other cars being serviced at that time. So, no less than 5 people gathered around the hood of my wife s 2014 Volvo & decided among themselves that they could not perform the oil change because they would need to remove a power steering pump to access the filter. They decided this without even removing the engine cover to see if that was, indeed, the case. I knew this was a lie because we have had this car serviced there for years when the other manager was in charge.Also, in 2021, my wife & I ran a local garage for her father until we got it sold for him. Not once did our mechanics need to remove anything power steering related in order to access the oil filter. What a shame that the customer service has taken such a dive here.We pulled out of their bay, went around the corner, & pulled in the bay at Central Park Express. The 2 experiences couldn t have been more different. They were all pleasant, the waiting area was very clean, & the techs had our car ready in about 15 minutes (again without the need to remove a power steering pump.) They, also, vacuumed the interior of the car, topped off the air in our tires, & checked all of the fluids. THAT S how customer service is executed.Because of the lies & laziness at Prompto, I will now be taking our company s fleet of trucks to Central Park Express & never returning to Prompto.

Apparently a conventional oil change is $84 when you call and ask over the phone as someone with a soft girly voice.I wouldn t say 2008 is newAnd this isn t my first oil change lol

I have an older vehicle that requires high zinc engine oil recommended by the manufacturer...and new oil doesn't have zinc...It's very important too have zinc due to older style cam shaft designs.They never even heard of such a thing, and called me a liar..They also put over a quart extra of oil in my vehicle.I only discovered this due to smoking out tailpipe..I strongly suggest never trusting these guys...Service: Oil change

Always feel awkward coming here. But everyone is always nice, and it's really quick even when you have to wait in line. Update: got a basic oil change. Sometimes they check my tire pressure but not always. Would have been nice if they could have checked cuz I'm always losing air. That I'll still continue going.

The gentlemen at Prompto are awesome. Very polite, professional and know what they're doing. Their prices can't be beat and you don't have to wait for long or book an appointment to get your service done. As long as I'm in this part of the state I'll always take my vehicles there for servicing.

Professional and fast. The workers there were very nice. Not only do they give you an oil change, they'll clean your windshield, check your fluids and clean your car's air filter out for no additional charges. I think I spent around $28. Quick and easy oil change. You might get a line, but they have two bays open And it moves pretty fast.
