I got sick of replacing exhaust after 2-3 winters up in Northern VT. Even OEM was only making it 3 at best. I looked into stainless and a friend in NH recommended this Lou's location.Even after accounting for the gas to drive here, I ended up with a fully welded stainless exhaust for less than OEM parts alone. The work is great and the welds are beautiful, and as for "exhaust note" I got exactly what I wanted - quiet. No drone, no fart can, they definitely know their product.While I was there, I spoke to the owner about a custom y-pipe to clear my t-case/mid skid, and he actually talked me out of the really expensive, complicated option that I thought I needed and showed me similar work he's done that was much cleaner and simpler. How hard is it to find a shop these days that does good work at a good price, let alone one that actively looks out for a first time customer's pocket book?

Lou's Custom Exhaust Concord NH. HONEST. FAIR PRICE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. brought car in for entire exhaust replacement but they only needed to replace the muffler. Did a good job and the best price of all places I called. Saved me hundreds of $.

I had to bring my 2009 Jeep Wrangler to get a muffler on it and they're very truthful honest and less than an hour I waited I took her right in and write out after the repair they're great people definitely awesome I recommend them highly

Quality work and excellent service fabricating and installing a resonator bypass pipe along with a standard rear muffler on a late model VW, saving lots of money compared to either dealer or standard aftermarket parts. Made an early morning appointment and waited for the car; the job was done in a timely manner. Clean shop, excellent staff, well worth the 100+ mile drive from northern Vermont. Excellent exhaust shop. I have now brought three of my vehicles here and all of them came out fantastic. Friendly and professional environment. They let me know my options upfront and always call if anything comes up, even for what most shops would consider minor or unimportant changes. I like that. The work itself is top notch, great welding, bends and materials. They are truly beautiful to look at under the vehicle and the sound is very satisfying. A+, highly recommended.

My tundra had some serious rot on the flanges upstream from the muffler. My inspection was up for renewal and I knew it wouldn't pass as it sat. I wanted to repair with something louder than stock and went to lous for an estimate for a system to fit what I wanted. It was a LOT cheaper than I expected. My last car had a similar issue and my usual mechanic charged me over 400 dollars more than I paid at lous . Said mechanic has treated me well with mechanical issues, but If you need exhaust work just take it to lous. I would've saved hundreds I'm sure if I had taken my car here. And my tundra sounds awesome now, with a great warranty. Trust them with all your exhaust needs.

Great place to take your car. They explained everything to me fully and assured that the quote I received from the dealership was completely unnecessary. Friendly staff and super convenient. Highly recommend for any exhaust work you need done.

When our exhaust started making noise we brought it to the dealer and found we needed a whole new exhaust system. The dealer quoted well over $1000 for the job, but for a car with over 170k miles it wasn t worth the expense so they recommended we try Lou s. We called, they got us in the next day to look at it and got the whole job done that same day for about half the cost the dealer quoted. After picking it up something was still rattling in the exhaust. We brought it back and even though he was really busy he took a look at it and fixed the problem within an hour. We re very happy with our new exhaust and how much money we were able to save by going here.

I was way overcharged for a small gasket and a little bit of hardware.The job was literally 15 minutes.But they left my car on the lift for more time than it took so it seems like it took longer to do the job. Plus the owner was rather rude. Then they acted like they did me a favor by fixing a hanger that wasn't even broken. Go somewhere else

One of the many factors that play a part in automotive work on one's vehicle is personal referrals, and my first visit to Lou's Custom Exhaust in Concord started the same way. I was referred by a friend, and was told that the prices were reasonable and service was what I would be looking for.A couple of years later, I am still a very satisfied customer of Lou's Custom Exhaust, and go to Jim for all of my automotive needs. As long as you're honest with him and have realistic expectations, you will be, too. I've spent almost $1,500 there over the years, am now taking my new car there for the preventive maintenance that it needs to continue working at its best, and just paid the lowest price I've ever experienced for a full synthetic oil change. I've never been blindsided by the service or bill that I received at Lou's in Concord, because Jim always tells me exactly what my car needs, what he's going to do, and what it's going to cost, and that's precisely what I get, so there are no surprises.The customer service area for this location is very comfortable and there are video games for the kids (of all ages) to help pass the time, if your repair needs are scheduled to take a bit longer than the average. While he is still getting himself settled into this particular location (having only moved a couple months or so ago), it's clear that he cares about the comfort of his clientele.I highly recommend Lou's Custom Exhaust to all of my friends and family; Jim is my go-to guy for everything automotive and I look forward to continuing our business relationship. If you're looking for a new mechanic, from the basic oil change to more intensive work, I suggest stopping by to see Jim at Lou's Custom Exhaust.

First time at Lou's after recommendation from Weeds Automotive in Concord. Lou's was ready for my 1933 Packard promptly at 9am and refitted a supplied muffler with new hangars. GREAT JOB! Runs and sounds great having paid particular attention to period correctness and installation detail.......all in 1.5 hours of labor. Very satisfied.

I encountered Lou's in a search for a qualified professional to rescue my cat back exhaust disaster. They managed to set right what the the previous garage got wrong. I'm very happy with Lou's attention to detail and I'll be coming back here even to the point of discarding my warranty with the other garage. Lou's also does NH Oil Undercoating which I'll certainly be coming back for. I recommend this place for all your exhaust and undercoating needs.

I called yesterday to get a quote on a problem I was having with my exhaust. I got in this morning for them to look at it, was quoted an AMAZING price and had my car worked on which seemed like immediately! I would highly recommend this place to everyone and anyone I know! Beware of diagnosis. I brought my minivan for a rattling sound from my exhaust system. I suspected it was a heat plate, as it did not sound like an exhaust leak. The mechanic put it up on the lift to look at it and came back into the office to say that I needed a new catalytic converter as well as removal of a heat shield. The cost was going to be $300 and he was happy to schedule an appointment for me the following day. I wanted a second opinion. I had my dad take a look at it with me and we found that there was connection before the catalytic converter, mounted between 2 spring-loaded bolts. This was the site of the rattle. The gasket between pipes had completely disintegrated. Cost of gasket and hardware... $20.If you need a new muffler or other obvious exhaust repair, I'm sure Lou's is fine. But if you're looking for an honest diagnosis from a source you can trust, look elsewhere.

Amazing is all I can say. If you need exhaust work go here you won't be disappointed. People super friendly waiting area spotless and comfortable. And the best is the work. I had a cat back system done on a Tundra in Stainless with I think what was called a turbo muffler. I wanted just a touch of exhaust note this was the perfect choice sounds great!

Came in without a mid pipe, left with a from the "cat back" new exhaust for a pretty reasonable price. Was offered a selection of options for different price levels, all are reasonable, just depends on how you want to address your needs. Great waiting room and accommodations, friendly staff!

The new exhaust they installed started to squeak due to vibration 2 days after installation. Made a follow up appointment assuming they would take care of it but instead they wanted to charge me an additional $150 to install a new donut gasket and exhaust bolts. I paid $700 for the aluminized exhaust with catalytic converter in addition to them keeping my catalytic converter which was worth $350 in scrap. A week later I went to get the squeak fixed by my typical mechanic and I found out they put a very cheap universal catalytic converter in by just cutting my oem one out from the down pipe and welding in a new one which I believe is what caused the vibration that made it squeak. Don t like to give negative reviews but that was my experience.

Just made an appointment with them to do my headers and muffler. The lady I spoke to knew her stuff and got me right in for an appointment. I live in Manchester and don't dare to go to the Manchester lous had 2 bad experiences with them. Concord lous so far is great.Update. Welds are falling apart they put my hangers on sideways then told me it's my motor mounts faults. Mind you they are new. Paid 2500 dollars and it's falling off and the stainless steel is rusting out. The welds are beginner at best. $2500 they wanted tto make me wait 2 weeks re weld couple hangers.

I have had both my vehicles done here. I had a stainless steel cat back exhaust, installed on a 2014 GMC Sierra with super 40s. The sound is great and the craftsmanship is sturdy and well done. Jim is easy to work with for scheduling or what you want on your vehicle. My exhaust system has been through two winters with no issues. I recently had my 2008 Subaru Impreza's exhaust system went. I was able to get a next appointment for a cat back exhaust system. Couple hours later the work was done. The price was fair and cheaper than paying a mechanic to buy a bolt on system and install it. I am satisfied with the sound my car now produces. Would definitely recommend this shop to people! And the new location is on 131 Old Turnpike Rd.
