$48 for inspection, service was quick but my car smelled of cigarettes for the rest of the day and my steering wheel upholstery was damaged.

When in for an oil change, that was a free gift from the district manager to get me to come back to have my service done at Midas, which is all well and good they did not check out anything else they simply did an oil change, I know I had a bad ball joint that I was expecting them to tell me about, but they didn t check it which I feel would ve been a good Part of service to get me to come back. I attempted to change my oil today in my driveway due to bad gas contamination and I m unable to get the oil pan bolt out they overtorqued it, possibly disconnected the not welded to the inside of the pan. If this is the type of service that I m going to receive I will pass.

I was in for an inspection. During that time, I witnessed the person tell a customer that there was no such thing as 5w20 standard motor oil, then tell an old woman that her tie rod caused her new brakes to wear out in a month. The 5w20 I know is just wrong. I'm having a tough time figuring how a tie rod is making brakes that were a month old to fail. Just doesn't add up. My car is quite new and passed inspection but I think I'll take it elsewhere next time.

I like certain things about this place. They get you right in, they show you photos of what's broken and in need of repair. But the prices. My girlfriend and I took her car in there and they replaced the back brakes for her. Job was fine, just pricey. They told her she needed new front struts because one of the springs was broken. Their quote? 980 bucks. So I said, hey, if we bring our own struts could you put them in, dude said no, because he couldn't warranty them. Fair enough. What if we brought you the same struts you were going to order here at Midas? Well that question couldn't be answered. The struts they were gonna order were Monroe, 336 dollars a side. The same struts are on rock auto for 54 bucks a side. Can I ask why someone in this company feels the need to try to swindle people like that!? It's not like she's Nicki Minaj bringing in a Bentley, she drives a Hyundai. So why try to take advantage of regular people by asking 6x the price for one strut?

Went in because I lost my power steering. After looking at the car they said I also needed a new belt and said it would be a couple hours repair. I went to pick up the car and noticed a puddle under my car. Whole entire car was soaked with fluid everywhere. Power steering fluid, coolant, oil. I brought the car back and they got back to me days later and said I blew a head due to the belt they recommended putting on not being put on correctly. Finally got the car back over a week later and it's still leaking oil everywhere. Very unprofessional. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I am so grateful for the outcome of my visit. Chris stepped in and I am very hopeful. I will be bringing my car back in for a follow up to check the status. I will continue to do business with Midas for future maintenance and service needs because of Chris and his positive outlook and willingness to try. I went to Midas yesterday to get my oil changed, and my tires rotated. I am a Travel Nurse and therefore keep up with the maintenance of my car to ensure my safety and the safety of others around me. About halfway through the oil change, the front desk person came in and told me that the tread on my tires was terrible and I needed new tires. My car is less than nine months old with 18,000 miles on it. I did not need new tires. I was very insulted at the fact that he thought I wouldn t know whether or not I need tires. Not sure if this is because I am a female or he just thought I was stupid but at this point I just wanted to get out of there. You have had my oil changed and my tires rotated. However, I would never go back to a place that made me feel like a complete idiot for any reason.

Dan and Chris are wonderful! I came in to have rattling looked at and they helped me find out the problem, recommended a solution and one that won't completely drain my wallet. They also researched prior work I had done in case the issue was related. I highly recommend Dan, Chris and the Rochester, NH Midas!

I went here today after a friend recommended them, didn t realize they did inspections. What an absolute great experience I had with every mechanic I talked to! I haven t experienced that level of customer service in years. In a full waiting room, they made it a point to talk to each customer. I would highly recommend them! Came here to just get a quote and to then compare prices to other places. I had grinding back brakes! The gentleman here were very knowledgeable and fair priced I ended up going with them without checking anywhere else and best choice I could of made! Chris at the front desk made me feel so welcomed and felt as though I was his friend not just some customer! And my car is running like a top ! I would definitely recommend going to the Rochester Midas to anyone that needs repairs in the future!

I highly recommend Midas to anyone that wants to be treated fairly and have the security to know they are safe on the road. I have always had nothing but wonderful service from getting my car inspection to, breaks or an oil Change. Just left Midas after having an oil change, I have to say the staff here are warm and welcoming. Chris and Dan thanks for the laughs and taking such great care of my Baby! I also appreciate the health report on my Vehicle that was sent to my phone. I was in NH on business and developed a pronounced grinding in my brakes. I was unable to address the problem because I had a number of important appointments to keep, but on the very day I was needed to get back home (a six hour drive) I called Midas. I knew it would be a long shot getting my car serviced on such short nnotice, but when I explained my predicament they were very accommodating. They seemed genuinely concerned and worked hard to get me going on schedule. I was very grateful.Service: Brakes

I will not be returning. And I would recommend people stay away. I brought in my Ford Escape for an oil change. Upon getting the oil changed I was told I would need new control arms on the front axle due to the bushings needing to be replaced. This was frustrating but understandable. They told me that my vehicle would be ready by the end of the day (Saturday). But I was going out of town for the weekend and told them I would be back on Monday to pick the vehicle up. When I returned Monday morning the vehicle was still not done and that they had to wait for the alignment tech to come in to finish the job. So I was late to work. And I waited for over an hour before leaving and going to work. I came back that night and it was finally finished. Over a week later I find out that my car was hemorrhaging oil. When I called them I told them that my car had no oil left in it that I would need a tow. I was told by their regional manager that if they towed it in and it wasn't related to a problem they caused that they would charge me for the tow. Regardless I decided to have it towed myself. When I brought it in they never showed me the filter or anything, they just said it was a bad filter and that they replaced it. For all I know they could have made a huge mistake when they did the oil change and just lied to me so they wouldn't be held liable. I don't know how long I drove my car without oil but I am just praying that some day soon my engine doesn't seize up. And to top it off they didn't even refund me for the shotty oil change as a sign of good faith. I won't be returning here, and if you value your vehicle I would suggest taking it somewhere else.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Been using this location for years and have never been disappointed, very friendly and thorough explanation of issues with my vehicle, always able to get an appointment at my convenience within a day or two, thorough diagnostic review done and quote up front, always very happy with the service!

You can't ask for better service at Midas in Rochester, NH. Getting an appointment at a convenient time is always granted and the work is done with quality and efficiency. I've gone there for years and I highly recommend Midas for your auto's maintenance.

I ve been to many Midas across the safe. Very mixed reviews from store to store. I m happy to say this location gets it. A++++ service! This place is a scam they will replace stuff in your vehicle without asking you beforehand if you want to have it replaced then they charge you for it also their techs have no idea what they re doing and they are not certified as they claim they are do not bring your vehicle to this place also they used the wrong specs for the alignment on my vehicle the car is an 03 and they used 98 specs and they have completely different suspensions and then they charged an outrageous amount for it I seriously recommend you go somewhere else and don t choose VIP EITHERService: Wheel alignment

First let me say I am a long time customer at this location and I have spent thousands per year for many years. Keeping up a number of vehicles. Let me also say this store is no longer owned by the same people and none of the same people work here anymore. In short, this store tried to rip me off of 1100. I needed a parking brake repaired. They told me it would be $1,100 to fix. They could only get the part from Volvo. I asked them after declining to pay $1100 to fix a parking brake. Exactly what part was broken. They told me the foot mechanism that you push down to apply the parking brake. I decided to take a look at it and see if it was something I could fix myself. Come to find out the cable was just disconnected I reattach the cable adjusted tension and it works perfectly fine when confronted the store manager said it was just misdiagnosed . There's no way just plain crooked.Service: General repairs & maintenance

College students, women and anyone else worried about being taken advantage of spend your money literally anywhere else!!! This place scammed me unbelievably and the only person I am more mad at than the workers here is myself for being dumb enough to pay for the service I received. I was in a pinch for time and came to Midas because I thought they were supposed to have good service and the location was convenient. I was charged $128 for an oil change more than double than I have ever paid anywhere else. When I asked why, I was condescended to and told it was because I got synthetic oil (my last oil change was also synthetic, and only $60). On top of this I was recommended I plan for a future $1200 service that my car does not need. After my service I started my car and saw that my oil light was still on, so I immediately went back inside and let the manager know. After the price, I had a bad feeling about the whole thing that I should have trusted. They told me to wait outside, and I proceeded to stand in the freezing whether while they attempted to reset my car for 25 minutes. Then, after being "unable to figure it out" they told me if I drive long enough, it should go away as sometimes "the key just needs to turn a certain amount of times for the car to reset". The next morning the light was still on, and concerned, I asked a worker at another auto shop to take a look while I was buying a new breaklight. The worker confirmed that I was massively overcharged in his opinion, and that a good mechanic would have told me to get conventional oil for my model, lowering what should have been the cost even more. Furthermore, he told me the reason he nor nobody else could reset my oil light was because my car was still short a significant amount of oil (3-4 quarts) and that I was scammed. He felt very bad for me and filled the oil to the proper amount. Then, surprise surprise, my oil light instantly went out after driving my car for all of a minute or two. On top of all of this, they never even bothered to put a new sticker, the bare minimum. The workers at this Midas either like to take advantage of young women who are working during college and don't have money to spare or they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I will never recommend Midas to anyone unless I am refunded my money for this absolutely botched service.Service: Oil change

I arrived for 8 am appointment on time. I was getting 4 tires and an alignment. They weren t finished with my truck until 1145 am. Typically when I ve gone somewhere else it has taken no more than an hour and a half. They had plenty of staff working. Excellent service very honest with what needs to be done or what issues need to be done went threw the whole car and let me know exactly what we're the priorities that really needed to be done first went in there to get 4 tires dine as well as an aliment Chris and Dana have excellent customer service skills and I recommend if you need work done on your vechile or an inspection go to them you won't regret it midas in rochester nh thankyou for your work you have a customer for life now
