Hersey's Transmission Services (HTS) rebuilt the transmission on my 2010 Ford Explorer for about $2,900. They provided a warranty of their work for 1 year or 12,000 miles, whichever came first. About 9 months after the rebuild, my vehicle started acting strange when shifting gears. It would rev too high sometimes and not engage in gear right away sometimes. I brought it back to HTS and they got me in to rake the transmission apart and find the problem. Turns out there was an internal leak causing the problem. I have not encountered any additional problems since.My experience with HTS was very positive and I was happy to find out they honor their warranties, no hard questions asked. I definitely recommend HTS to anyone needing transmission work.Service: Transmission

They seem to be honest and eager to please. When we got the Ford explorer back and couldn't see the oil on the dipstick cuz we're old and blind they made sure to have their kid go through every one of the fluid things and report back to him he even checked the air pressures and tires. Years ago I had my Buick Park avenue transmission rebuilt there and that transmission was still running when the engine blew several years later. So I would have to say these guys know what they're doing. But it ain't cheap bring your wallet and then some

Transmission failed during February vacation. Local place to where I broke down wanted to fix it for more than what my vehicle was worth. Another place wouldn't even look at it for a few weeks as they were too busy for an out of stater. I contacted Hersey's and explained what was going on, he said what he thought my options would be and approx cost for each. I had it towed to them and they dropped what they were doing and went out of their way to diagnose and give me their honest recommendation on what would make sense to do depending and pros/cons, etc. They got it fixed and up and running ASAP and it was 1/4 the price of the other place and done in a few days. Its been 4 months now and it still is running great with no issues. It was really one of my best mechanic experiences ever, felt like i was dealing with an honest person who went out of his way to help me even though I would probably not be a repeat customer since I live out of state. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Took my Mazda Tribute in for an incorrect gear ratio code. My auto trans was not shifting between 1st and 2nd gear. Dean said only option was a rebuild. I went ahead with the rebuild and had my car back before a trip to the Green Mountains. The car performed good as new. My renuilt trans is good for 1 year or 14,000 mi warranty, which is a good deal. I was skeptical about a rebuild at first but I trusted Dean to do a good job and he did. Would recommend for quality transmission work, though be aware it won't come cheap.

Honest shop. Brought in my vehicle to have the trans rebuilt because I thought it needed it. Said they'd do it if I wanted to spend the money, but they really didn't think it needed it. When it does, I'll be back.

Very helpful. Informative. I was told it was normal wear and tear. Well, they identified it and fixed the problem all in one day. My car is running great again!

Hersey located difficult to find transmission parts for my classic car and did a great rebuild. Price was very reasonable. Good shop.
