Took my Corolla in to get checked out and they took it in early, before scheduled, and took 10 minutes to check out the problem. They let me know what they found out and gave me reassurance that it wasn't anything dangerous and it could just be monitored over time. No cost, great service and much appreciated.

Traveling from Raleigh, NC, to Milford and the front brakes of my 2006 Ford Ranger started grinding unexpectedly in Pennsylvania. Needed emergency repair today due to departure back South in two days, and Amherst Autoworks was able to fit me into their understandably busy schedule to get both rotors and pads replaced within a few hours. Samantha at the front desk was incredibly friendly, understanding, communicative, and knowledgeable. Craig the mechanic took the time to patiently and clearly explain the problem he fixed in great detail. Honestly, the best auto repair experience I have ever had. Thank you so much! ~Randy

Excellent work for great prices. They also respect your budget. I have never been pressured or incentivized to get unnecessary work. If Craig (the owner) doesn't think a problem is immediate, he will warn you without the pressure of getting it done ASAP.The only downside is long wait times. Since they service local police and fire department vehicles, appointments could be 3-14 days out. But this is only because of their popularity. If you want quality repairs then go to Amherst Autoworks.

Craig and Lisa were absolutely amazing. They identified the problem immediately. We had been to several other places and what we were told just didn't make sense. They were very accommodating and caring. I will absolutely be going back to them any time I need any kind of work done on my car.

Craig and his team always do great work, prompt turnaround and fair pricing. We have to drive over half an hour to get there, but it's worth it! We've been bringing our cars there for years now.

Consistently honest, fast, fair-priced and fantastic work! The only problem is my handy husband who does lots of work on cars now defers to them. He says, "C'mon, we'll take it to Amherst Autoworks. I am fortunate to have bought a house just down the road from these guys. I needed an inspection sticker and I was so sick and my husband was out of town. So I brought it there the night before and I walked home. Since I was sick I told them to take their time and I would come back when done. Well they had it done the next morning and brought it back to my house and called to tell me it was back and to come take care of the bill when I was feeling better....no rush they said. They wanted me to have a car just in case of an emergency since they knew my husband was gone. Now THAT is great customer service. I won't go anywhere else. They are always super busy and for them to take time to bring the car to me was great customer service. Knowledgeable, honest and so nice....don't see that everyday! Well unless you are frequenting Amherst Autoworks.

Honest and reputable auto repair shop. I wouldn't take any of my vehicles anywhere else. Pricing is up front and on occasion has come in under budget.

The best of the best. These guys price fairly, get work done quickly, and work on rare vehicles. I have an old air cooled VW that Craig and Steve do a great job on. I'd recommend them to anyone for any vehicle.

We've had several cars repaired at AAW - the service and prices are excellent. They take your information and call back in a reasonable amount of time with an estimate. Was able to get my car in on short notice when the exhaust system gave out. These things tend to be expensive but they did quality work at a fair price. Craig was also able to repair a job botched by a local muffler shop on 101A. Of course this all happened during the month of my inspection - which they also took care of for a very competitive price. The mechanic also took the time to explain several repair options and I never felt like they were trying to up-sell me parts/service. Very honest and trustworthy.We will definitely be back when there's another 'situation'.

The best. They do regular work on a diesel F350 (6.4) I have are always great. Not sure you're going to find another garage like them especially with all, ONLY 5 star reviews. I drive all over the country and always bring the truck back here.

The only place I've ever been that actually charged us LESS than the work was quoted, because the 20 year old truck we brought in was a lot easier to work on than they expected. I recently had a used car inspected here before I bought it, and saved me a huge headache down the road. 5/5 These guys actually take pride in their work.

My family and I have brought Craig and Steve upwards of 15 to 20 cars to work on since about 1996. From bmws to Audi to vw to heavily modded cars. They have always been polite and knowledgeable and they are the #1 mechanic ive recommended everyone to. Thanks for over 20 years of great service

Awesome service, flexible scheduling and fair billing. They will also not turn you away with aftermarket components like a lot of other shops. Will definitely keep using this business for auto maintenance and repair.

I have been using Amherst Autoworks since they opened. I have never dealt with more professional, honest, and hardworking mechanics. They truly go above and beyond. I trust them with all of my vehicles. I am a customer for life.

Baught a used car here,it was exactly as described,starts and shifts needs lot of work.I drove it home,took me an hour (its not that slow,its so dammn far!)The shop goes above and beyond to help you as a customer.I have baught cars all over the world,some real crooks out there!But at Amherst Auto works they have a wonderful concept,it not seen anymore its called Customer Service!I highly recommend this shop,to anyone.Lord Rudi Franklin private assistant to his Majesty King Albert of Belgium.

In a world full of charlatan-grade repair shops, these guys are a beacon of hope.If you live within an hour's drive, have your car serviced here. An honest, capable and experienced set of technicians, through and through.

Wonderful place . Only thing I disagree with is their oil preferences for certain vehicles. Trucks are different then sedans. Once again very good place. Professional and honest.

Very fair and knowledgable. My regular mechanic recommended these guys when he realized he didn't know enough about VWs. About $100 later, good to go.
