Buy your boat somewhere else, don't make my mistake. I bought a brand new 2022 left over in spring of 2023. I got my boat home and the gas gauge didn't work, showing empty & causing me to overfill the tank. I called them they offered to come out & fix it. I chased them for months. I kept being told someone would call me back, no one did. I also found that the cigarette lighter socket (handy for blowing up tubes) was not wired from behind! A few weeks having the boat it died while driving in the middle of the lake, no electricity. What to do, I figured out where the battery was buried, I found the ground buss bar and started touching wires, then it sparked and the radio came back on & I could start the boat, phew. It was a VERY loose ground at the terminal block. Where is the presale check? We took the boat for a test drive, how was this missed on a left over 2022? A lemon. After chasing them for months I then contacted the manufactured which prompted a response from Irwin who then came to take care of it. Gas gauge fixed, lighter socket fixed. NOW THE DOCKING LIGHTS DONT COME ON! I would rather be in the dark before calling them again. Now today's surprise, a statement for an unpaid invoice for service for the boat I traded in which they resold! The called to collect payment I told them it was not my bill, that the date of service is well after I traded the boat but I am still getting statements! These guys have their head way, way up there "donkey". I have had issues with service in the past and I hoped it was a one time problem, but it is clearly endemic in the way they run their business. Please don't waste your time with Irwin, they will find a way to disappoint you.

Purchased in summer of 2022, broken snaps and scratched paint were promise and on contract to fix. However, they could not fix until 2023 which I agreed! Fast forward May 2023, brought boat in to fix issues, told first come first serve, six weeks later, boat is ready but no service was completed to fix snaps and the area needing painting was only buffed out instead of painted! The clear coat was completely buffed off and looks worse then when I left it there!Do yourself a favor, don t buy from Irwin. No service, no return calls, Gary the service manager, simply says oh well we have no help! Guess next step is to call my attorney which will be the only winner here.Follow up 9/9/2023I only have 15 hrs on this boat and gages are breaking, battery has been replaced three times and now Irwin refuses to service/warranty my boat for any reason until I take down this review! Isn t blackmailing me against the law? Just don t buy there!

We had to have a pontoon boat towed that we rented from Irwin Marina. The prop had hit a rock. Irwin Marina had us use SeaTow. After SeaTow totally abused us and charged us $1,040 to tow the pontoon from Wolfeboro to Alton Bay, Irwin Marina did not do anything to help us with the SeaTow charge. They definitely are lacking customer support. There are many many Marinas on Lake W. You are better off with someone other than Irwin Marina.

Boats are in very good condition, we did not compare prices, it was not cheap but as expected, also the cost of gas was added on top of cost of rental and for full day it was an additional $$$.$$. Boats are expensive so we are happy with this Marina despite of prices!!!

Hi my name is Denise and my family and i rented a pontoon boat a few weekends ago. Their were no issues renting the boat, it was clean and ready to go. Dogs are a big part of my family, and we always make sure they are included. My sister brings her Yellow Lab every year. She loves the boat and she loves to swim. I live right in Alton so it was a quick drive to get there and back. Parking was great also. I got a great tan to boot!! Thank you very much. Everyone had a great time. We will be doing this again next year for sure!

After a marina in Meredith cancelled my boat rental reservation due to technical issues, Irwin Marine was my vacation life-saver! Becca answered the call and took my reservation. She was absolutely stellar over the phone. When I took the boat out, I did manage to ding the prop and the haul. I thought this would set me back a small fortune, but upon inspection, their manager Doug was extremely fair with the damage appraisal. I will absolutely rent from them again next year. Really great people working there.

Colin rocks...This mechanic is phenomenal. Watched the whole process of maintenance and he explained everything while I was hoovering...Dan got me in right away for winterizing and always went to length to keep me happy.Bought my boat here as well. Good people. In the world of being transparent and honest...this is a good place. I drive far for their service.

I have lived in town for over 20 years and went to the previous owners of this Marina (Gillan, before Irwin purchased it) and always had a good service experience.Since Irwin has purchased I have still had good sales experience, however there service has been very poor...I brought my boat in about three weeks ago to have it checked out, after putting it in the water there was water spraying out from the bottom of the motor, things didn't look good and I assumed the worse... Having had it at Irwin the season before to have things checked out, I assumed that a bad winterization job may have been the culprit, but didn't jump to any conclusions.I dropped boat off on a Sunday night after hours, left a message with their service department where I left it and requested a call back once they had come in that Monday AM and they had a chance to review messages, start of the business day, etc. I did not receive any calls, so Wednesday I finally called and spoke with their service manager Dennis, who said he would have an initial report the end of that week on a rough idea of what it may be. The end of that week came and went with no call back. I checked in the following week, Dennis was off so the fellow filling his shoes said that it was on their schedule and he would get it looked at my mid week... Mid week came and went, no call. So I called again, Dennis was back at that point and assured me that he would have an answer by the end of the week... Again no answer - I called that weekend at which point I was told by Dennis that they had inspected the boat and definitely the block of the motor was cracked, causing the water leak. He roughly estimated that the replacement cost would be in the $7,000 range, but he needed to get back to me with an estimate, as things were very busy.I then decided for a 2nd opinion... The following week, I went by Irwin and picked up my boat, still no estimate had been completed on the engine repair at that point, and took it to another local reputable marina for them to check it out.Within three days, they had inspected and diagnosed the issue - The problem VERY clearly being a cracked water inlet housing, which had froze, that needed to be replaced. Within a couple days they had ordered and replaced the part, run the boat out in the water and assured proper function... My total bill = $362.50.What a massive difference! The only explanation in my opinion is Irwin likely didn't even look at the leak on my boat or jumped to the nearest conclusion... Had I assumed they were correct I could have spend $7Kish on a new motor that was not required - Unbelievable. As I have indicated, Irwin is great for sales... However whoever they have running their service department now is either inexperienced or overworked.I would NOT recommend them for service until they get these issues resolved...

Had a boat scheduled to be rented from Anchor Marine however even though I called before picking it up they had me down for a different day total CF since I got a ride all the way from Melvin Bay. So I called around and then I found Annamarie Redman @ Irwin Marine. After speaking with her for 2 min on the phone she had arrange to get me a boat rental the same day and was able to accommodate the schedule I had planned on for the week. Great News! I showed up about 30 minutes later to a beautiful Berkshire tri-toon with a 115 merc on it. :) My family had the greatest vacation thanks to Annamarie taking care of us with zero advanced notice. Also I want to mention I slightly damaged the boat on a rock during the week I had it clearly thinking I was going to lose my 1k deposit I was stressed. The price we worked out for the repair at the end was far less than the total deposit and well within reason for the damage. I cant thank them enough and will be back next year for another rental. Thank you Annamarie :)

I have a summer home in Alton and had all my watercraft serviced/winterized up the road at the Alton service location. I Never had a complaint until I went in to meet the sales manager to trade in my machines for a newer model.I walked in and introduced myself. He obviously had more important things to do than speak with me because his eyes hardly moved from his computer screen. I mentioned that there was a limited edition floor model PWC I was interested in and his response was that it was sold and I couldnt have one... . Obviously shocked at the answer, I inquired why? Because those are too difficult to find he said, still uninterested in the conversation. Well can you find me one? I really like the model! I said, undeterred. Um, no. He said. Completely seriously. He was just not into selling me a machine. At all.So I suggested another machine and inquired about trading my PWCs in for it. He begrudgingly agreed to get me a number on the trades and quoted me sight unseen around $15,000, obviously pending inspection by the service department.I left the Sales Dept to bring the craft from my home to the service department up the road, knowing full well that they had been dewinterized there the day before and were always serviced there. I was told by service that they were all perfect and had clean bills of health when I took them. Oh how their tune changed once they were up for trade!!!I was called back by Sales after the inspections and requoted a trade in value of $7,000!! With 3 PWC and two trailers (KBB value of $16,500 trade in!). I wondered how this could be the case as they had always been worked on AT THEIR SERVICE DEPT! They told me they were old, had high hours, had seen salt water, needed super chargers, needed A,B,C & D. Every excuse in order to attempt to swindle me.I spoke to the Sales manager and again, he was completely uninterested in moving on the number or selling me anything. Nothing. So the next day I took all 3 machines to Cycles 128! In Beverly, MA. They gave me $14,000 for the three (excluding one of the trailers) and set me up with a brand new GTX 300 Limited, the machine Irwin told me I couldnt have .So thank you Cycles 128! I ll never go to Irwin for sales or service again. Ever.

I was out in the middle of Lake Winnipesaukee, 8 miles out, and an alarm was going off in the boat. I called Todd at Irwin Marine, and he basically diagnosed that the idle valve was gone, rendering the boat useless at headway speed. I told him I would try to start the boat, then head back to Irwin Marine in Alton Bay. After several attempts, I got it going, then headed back to the marina. I then called Todd back, at about 1 mile out, and asked him to have people ready at the dock, because at headway speed, it would stall out, so I needed to "come in Hot". He had the Manager Dan Wright and another employee waiting at their dock to stop me. After incurring rope burns, they successfully stopped me at the dock, and I prepared to leave the boat there for further repair. However, they had the idle valve available in stock, then replaced it, and I was back on the water in 30 min.!! Great service by Dan and his team. These guys ROCK!!!

First and last experience dealing with this place took my boat there to be winterized, picked it up in the spring and nothing worked. Payed for a tune up but they confessed they never ran it... thats not how tune ups work. Place is a rip off they will take as much money as you will give them and give you crappy service in return. That's not 1 star thats -4
