THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I m an over the road truck driver out of Colorado. I was driving through on I-80 when I had a wheel/tire fly off my trailer late one night. Not knowing where to go, I dropped my trailer at the shops lot. These guys, even with being SLAMMED with work, got going on my trailer. Found a used wheel, got me into Les Schwab for a tire, took some spare parts off another trailer to fix the leaf springs, ubolts, hub assembly, and got me rolling again in a day! This is what good old fashioned hard working American folks are about! God Bless you all and keep up the fantastic work and customer service!!!

Had a Sprinter van break down at 4pm and was able to get ahold of Dave Schirrick's crew. They had repaired by 930AM the next day. Really great company and people to deal with; if your vehicle must break down, I recommend doing it within a short tow of these guys.

We don't use them often since we are not based in Winnemucca, however this is the second time we've needed his services. The first time (2 years ago, smaller Isuzu box truck that I screwed up) Dave and his guys got me back on the road in record fashion and at a very reasonable price. This last week, one of our larger Freightliner trucks broke down just outside of Winnemucca on Friday. We had it towed there, they quickly diagnosed the issue. There was a mix up on parts (not their fault at all), and Dustin kept the communication open with me on a Saturday. They got the correct part in by Tuesday, had my truck fixed and ready to pick up. I'd just like to say thank you to Dave, Dustin and the rest of Dave's team for doing wonderful work at good prices and in a very reasonable time frame for both jobs. You all are awesome! My fleet is our life blood and I may not be the biggest customer but they treated us as if we were their most important client.

Justin is true jem he found the issue in matter of seconds . i am from ontario and was stuck for three days everyone around was misguiding and misleading me till i by chance found these guys .

Fuel pump was on its way out started sending metal shreds thrue the system. Called dave on Thursdays. He suggested to get him the truck asap. Got the truck there thursday evening. Saturday around 1:30 i was out of there. Really appreciate it and a 5 star rating from me that they got me in right away. Called another shop they told me earlyesr would be wensday of the following week and double the amount that i payed at daves!!

Honestly, I was a little hesitant at first when I pulled in here.That quickly vanished when I spoke with the employees.They were very friendly and professional.I was pleasantly surprised to find out they actually had the parts that I needed in stock.One of those parts was an upper radiator hose which had a slow leak, and I was told by two different Travel Centers of America repair shops that was a dealer only item.They had me up and running again in about two and a half hours and their prices were very fair.If you ever need repairs on a truck and are traveling through Winnemucca, I highly recommend this place.Thank you guys great job!

The worst mechanics and very high price .One of our driver was there and they charge 10 times more what other mechanic will charge and the worst part is that they even couldn t fix the problem.plz avoid them by any cost.I wish I could give them zero stars

We are so thankful for Dave Schirrick & his crew! Our motorhome blew a water pump 21 miles out of Winnemucca @ 8pm Thurs before Memorial Day weekend. Dave recommended a tow service & we were towed in by A1 Towing on Fri morning. Karin in the office was very kind & sympathetic to our predicament. They allowed us to stay in our motorhome on their property during the whole process. Peter was very accommodating to our need for diesel to run our generator. He drove the company truck out to get 25 gallons to put in our tank. Dustin stayed late on Sat after he got the part to finish the repair! So we did not have to wait until the holiday weekend was over! And maybe the best part of this ordeal was the very reasonable rate they charged. So we feel very fortunate that this trauma was made better due to the professional & compassionate folks at Dave Schirrick Repair & Welding. I am going to post this recommendation on my Fleetwood Owners FB chat page. THANX Dave! Keep it up!

Avoid this place! Just avoid this place and do yourself a favor! We had to call the police to take the trailer out. Charged us $1000 for diagnostic only, plus the owner was drunk with the gun threatening our drivers, calling us names

They all did a great job rolled in on a Saturday a hole in my purge tank they ordered told me Tuesday afternoon it was their 1st thing that morning the owner Dave stopped by the hotel i was staying at i wanted an upper radiator hose too! double check if he had or bring on the order they had it was all fixed and out at 10:30 am delivered today san diego customer happy got their as one can be a production line load!They did a great job! Well appreciated!

My truck broke down on the Flying J fuel island. I was referred to Dave's by Speedco at Love's. Then Dave's referred me to A1 Towing who got me to the shop. These are honestly the nicest people I have ever done business with! Karin in the office could not have been kinder and more helpful. They got my truck in quickly, got it diagnosed, and fixed that afternoon. My mechanic, John, was very professional, knowledgeable, and nice. The price was reasonable, and I am so happy to have found this place. If you are broke down anywhere near Winnemucca, call Dave Schirrick Repair. If I could give them more stars, I would!

I have nothing but praise for Dave Schirrick.I was moving from Washington State to the desert Southwest, with my children and grandchildren. On Friday night we were driving through Southern Oregon and I hit a wild horse. Though the horse ran off, and I truly hope that it's okay, my truck was pretty smashed up. Radiator was not leaking, engine was not making any odd sounds, gauges/pressures were all good, so I was able to drive/limp 200-plus miles to Winnemucca. My insurance doesn't partner with anyone there so Saturday I searched for repair facilities and/or body shops. I was given Dave Schirricks number. I called and talked to him and he said he was on his way to another service call but he would come to the hotel that we were staying at to take a look. When he got to the hotel he looked in my vehicle, the hood was smashed and couldn't be opened. He did a quick assessment and provided some great advice. As he was leaving I went to start my vehicle to move it, my truck began making a horrible sound. (Earlier that morning I started it up and it wasn't making any sound or leaking and I let Dave know that). I called Dave, he turned around and came back to the hotel to listen to the truck and told me that he could come back the next day, take the hood off to work on it. On Sunday he came to the hotel. He handed me his fee/rate schedule and waited on my approval to proceed on performing any work.....very transparent and upfront on his rates. He then took the hood off and discovered that the fan edges were broken and the fan was out of balance and now was hitting the fan shroud. He removed the upper fan shroud and told me that everything else with the engine checked out fine with the exception of my K&N air filter. He called to the only parts store that was still open on Sunday and they did not have the fan. He said he would order a fan on Monday and would be able to replace it on Tuesday.Monday morning I got a call from Dave saying he found a fan and that it would be there in 15-20 minutes and if I wanted to come to the shop he would be able to replace it and get me on my way. I made it to the shop and it was about 45 minutes later that I was on my way to the hotel to load up my vehicle.Considering that he came out THREE times to the hotel AND on the weekend, he could have overcharged... He did not. His prices are exceptionally fair and reasonable. His advice was excellent and he gives his honest opinions. He gave me advice as to what I should watch out for, pay attention to (sound and gauges), which route I should take so that I would make it the rest of the way to my final destination ( since not only did I have the damages but my trailer was overweight)...all excellent advice. And he told me if I had any problems to just call him. I made it to my final destination with no problems from my truck.Dave called me 4 days ago to make certain that we made it safely and and asked if we had any problems for the remainder of the trip with my truck. That is HUGE!I highly, HIGHLY recommend calling Dave Schirrick for your vehicle needs. He was certainly there for me in an emergency and I appreciate him and his entire staff.Shout out to Karin! I know that I monopolized on your time when I was in the office, but I enjoyed our conversation.Thank you very much Dave for your help!!!

After being stranded in Winnemucca, Nevada with my RV plus horse trailer and horses on my way to California, Dave Shirrick offered to help me out. $2,600 for a tune up and check up and assurances that all was well, I set out again for California. 300 miles down the road my RV failed again. Same issues. Horses got towed and I limped into Ridgecrest. The mechanic here pulled the spark plugs and ignition coils. The spark plugs were old and discolored, one ignition coil had a broken connector. I called Dave Shirrick to explain and I was verbally abused where he insulted all RV owners, all Californians, and his mechanic through in insulting all women in general. Dave Shirrick continued making up wild accusations about me concluding saying that they had replaced my spark plugs and my engine had ruined the spark plugs in 300 miles. He admitted that his mechanic could have broken the ignition coil. No apology or settlement was offered. At $150/ hour, with inflated hours, (I know because I was in my RV while the mechanic worked and took breaks)... It's a lot for a tune up with damaged spark plugs and broken ignition coil connector. I am very lucky that my horses and I arrived in Ridgecrest traumatized but unhurt. Dave Shirrick and his mechanic appear to not appreciate the great danger they put me and my horses in.

Where to start?I have been having trouble with my Ram 3500 and its fuel pump. I have tried 4 or 5 shops in 4 states. Trying to get them to drop the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump inside the 40 gallon fuel tank. Each one has had an excuse to not do the extremely hard job. Finally I was trying to get back to Idaho from California and the truck stopped in Winnemucca. I was told to call Dave Schirrick if anyone would stop everything to help a traveler it was them. I called Jennifer at 7am she is willing to help and a asset to her company. She explained how to proceed and I did. At about 1pm Jesse started working on my truck. I could here the banging the pump was frozen in the tank. Jesse kept me informed the whole time he was working. The only problem with my experience was an employer spoke quit rudely to me I wont mention his name. I would recommend these folks to every one. Back on the road the same day.

VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!!!They take advantage of the location!In the middle of nowhere and leaves you without any money.Almost $4000 for just replacing turbo charger!Initially they told me that it would be around $1000 job. Try to AVOID!

The only polite person at this shop is the lady at the front desk. They had my freightliner for almost a week, racked up a $1500 "diagnostic" bill over three days of "work", and left the truck in worse condition than I brought it. The tech somehow corrupted my ECM , told me the problem had become too complex for them and they could no longer handle it(i.e. "I have no idea what I'm doing") and claimed the ECM was probably corrupted from the beginning and that his "reset" probably just made the problem obvious. Not to mention that the repairs they initially quoted me were 3x the book value on it...had to end up getting it towed to Reno, which is definitely what I should have done from the beginning. Just an all around train wreck.

Aug. 23, 2021, my wife and I were pulling our 5th wheel on I-80. We had stopped at Battle Mountain NV for lunch. When we pulled back onto I-80 to continue our trip west bound, I noticed a lot of smoke coming from the RV as I made the right curve turn onto the merging lane. I stopped to check the problem. I found that the left front leaf spring had broken somehow which caused the tires to rub together in right turns. Luckily we called Dave Schirrick s in Winnemucca looking for a repair shop. We were advised that they probably had a replacement but wasn t sure they could get to it that day. We cautiously made it there a little before 3 pm. It just so happened that one of their men got finished with a job sooner than they expected and was able to get right to my repair. Completed by 5pm. Found these folks to be cheerful, friendly and anxious to be of service. Thanks to them, we were able to get home that night. Couldn t ask for a better facility to have this work done. My sincere thanks to them again.

Our motorhome overheated 25 miles north of Winnemucca as we headed for Boise on a Sunday. We limped back to Winnemucca and started calling repair places Monday morning. Several people referred us to Dave Schirrick, and I'm glad we followed that advice. Jennifer in the office talked with Dave and they got us in right away. Problem was hard to diagnose since MH engines are hard to access, but they got it done and fixed in a few hours. Everyone was professional and helpful, and Clyde the shop dog was a welcome visitor. Price was very fair. Dave runs a great business.

Towed my truck there and Its been more than a week . They still havent even Taken a look at my truck nd when I called to ask for estimate about when they check it out . They talked very rudely and said you can get your truck out of here. Worst place I ve encountered in my 15 years of business.

WARNING.... do not stop at this shop if possible have your truck towed elsewhere. My truck was misdiagnosed with having a bad transmission. After my truck being down at Daves shop for a month found out it was only the clutch. As an owner operaton this really hurts your business. Im just looking out for all other owner operators.

Rude behavior !!! Had my truck there for a week and they kept on tearing it a part and still can t figure out what the problem was . Charged 16 hours labour and I had to tow my truck to Reno to get it fixed . Highway Robbery $$$$$$

Great place, great mechanics, friendly staff. Went there this morning with an electric al issue and was done and out of there in an hour. Peter the mechanic new his stuff, he trouble shooted the problem and found in quickly.
