Blew a tire in the middle of the night (0100) 20 miles west of Wells. My truck died not have the tools required to change out my tire. Called them and they immediately came out and helped me out.Gentlemen were professional and got to work immediately. They worked quick and efficiently, we were out off the side of the road in less than 30 minutes. I'm so glad I found honest guy's in there middle of the night. I highly recommend them. Thanks again gentlemen. You guys rock.

We turned off highway 93 onto 80 west bound when a guy pulled up next to me motioning and pointing at the trailer. I pulled over to inspect the trailer. The induvial also pulled over. He then told me that the axles on the trailer were oscillating back and forth. He looked under the trailer and said the leaf spring equalizer was worn. He said follow him to the Chevron station and they could fix it. Arriving at the station a person was waiting for me motioning me to back the trailer next to the building. He immediately started to jack up the trailer without giving an estimate or evening asking if I wanted it repaired. After trying to remove the lug nuts on the rims using 3 different battered impact wrenches he finally removed the tires. He then removed the equalizer and told me it was worn out. Now I have a background in mechanics and noticed immediately there was noting wrong. The bushings looked good along with the shackle bolts. I asked the cost for the repair and he said he would only charge $150.00 for labor but the parts would cost $1158.00. The parts he showed me sells for $189.00. I told him no way and to reassemble the equalizer and lead springs. While doing so he started to leave one of the bushings out and brought it to his attention. I asked the person who motioned me over, how could you tell the equalizer was bad with the weight on the trailer on the suspension? He response was it was crooked. Yea right! I asked what I owed him and he said "whatever you think boss". Flipped him a 20 and said nice try. This place is a fraud run by tweakers. My advice if someone around Wells NV pulls up next to you waving his arms and motioning to your trailer, step down on the gas and wave bye bye.

My friend had a warning light come on while traveling and I recommended she stop in to the Wells Chevron after looking them up online. They were very nice and helped her quickly. Tests showed a bad alternator, they sourced a new one in the next town and sent someone for it. In checking further they found a bad connection at the alternator and repaired it. They easily could have charged for a new alternator and labor to install but they were VERY honest and they provided a very fair bill for their services. I would recommend them to anyone.

So my Girlfriend and I were more than halfway on our trip heading to Salt Lake City. We unfortunately got a screw on the rear driver's tire of our rental as we arrived to Winnemucca, and our own attempts to fix the issue failed. So there we were driving 50 mph down the I-80 East and having to dodge semi trucks and cars not realizing that our hazards were on cause we were using the spare tire. Every town we can to we hoped to find a tire shop that would help us, but this was the Sunday evening of Memorial weekend, if the tire shops weren't closed, they would turn us away because they were closing and telling us that someone would help us for about $200. We got to Wells and at first it didn't look very promising, we were ready to patch this flat tire ourselves with finding the kit that would do the job. We come to this station hoping the store has what we were looking for, and when we discovered they did not have a tire patch kit, hope was fading. Then as I was about to walk out the door this tall gentleman asks if I need a tire. I told him that we just wanted to patch the tire and that we were on a budget. He told me that the man that runs the tire shop next door was already coming out to help with another matter already. When he arrived the two men spoke and then the man who runs the shop said to pull the car up to the garage so he could fix it. Here it was about 7:30 in the evening now and these guys were opening their doors to help us out. They got out tire patched up and only asked for $25 for the job. The men here are very nice, and they saved our vacation from being ruined, and didn't charge us ten times more because it was past their business hours. So if you find yourself with a flat in this area, find this shop, cause they will help you out of a sticky situation.

I was leaving Wendover, NV and noticed the car was not riding smooth and I slowed thing down a tad. I made a point to check on the next available exit that would have air. I looked at my tire information display read one of my rear drivers tire was 7 lb less than the other tires. The two gas stations air pumps were out of service. I spotted this gas station across the intersection and notice the tire service. I didn't see a air pump, but I pulled up and told them my issue and they put air in the tire and told me to keep a check on it. I offered them money but it was no charge. I'm so very thankful this place was here.

I needed some tires in the early hours of the morning. They came to work and got the job done. I really admire their hard work but when drove out of a gas station 30 miles down the road 2 of the tires came off my trailer. I've been trying to call them all day and haven't been able to get through.Definitely coked out too.

The old guys tires isn't just for tires. My husband and I were taking my elderly mom to jackpot for a weekend trip and our air conditioner went out on our Honda. It was pretty scary. We were just out of Jerome and I smelt a burning rubber smell and then a loud grinding noise. We made it to jackpot and called old guys at 6 at night and they drove to jackpot with 2 of their mechanics. They worked on it in the heat on a pavement parking lot at over 100 degrees and fixed it so we could drive home again. They are very wonderful people and I would really recommend them to everyone who has car problems . If I could give them 100 stars I would. Thank you so much also to the mechanic who got sunstoke getting the car fixed for us. You are above and beyond amazing....Thank you again, David and Michelle Freeman.

Hal and Mack at Wells Chevron saved our trip! We broke down with a flat outside of Wells, to our surprise they were open early on a Sunday morning and to make it even better they actually had the rare tire size we needed! These guys were fast and fantastic! Would recommend to all who break down in the Wells area. Hal mentioned he took over the business in 2016 so don t pay attention to any reviews prior to 2016. Thanks again Hal, we were so appreciative for all you did for us.

We called Wayne see if he could work on our truck that broke down on the side of the freeway. He was so nice and willing to help, but advised us to get towed to salt lake because shops there would have our unique part. He is a good guy and super honest and wants what is best for us. We didn't even meet these guys, but I know I would trust my truck with them any day if they had the part. Thanks for being so cool and talking us through the process!

Super helpful. Stopped to have trailer bearings checked. Tires were in bad shape and spare rim was rusted out. They got me a new rim and two new tires to update the whole set, even pulled tires off their rack out back to get me all set, and did so at a very honest price.

Traveling west on I-80 in our motor home and started having issues with it pulling. We stopped on a Sunday and I have never had a shop go so far above and beyond to get us taken care of. We worked with Hal and he was way more interested in the safety of my family than his bottom line. This shop truly puts service back into the idea on a Service Station. I am eternally grateful to have found this place. Do not heaitate to give these folks your business you will not regret it at all.

Well first off went here due to a tire blowout on our trailer so we pulled in to get them changed and get a new wheel as well. My husband went inside and no one was inside so he proceeds to go to the gas station next door to ask if they knew if the tire shop was open. The nice woman behind the counter called the gentleman and he answered and stated he would be there in 10 min got there in about 20 no biggie. We saw him come up so we went ahead and went back inside to wait for him. My husband saw him outside and he was looking around we thought maybe he was looking for us since he knew someone was waiting so husband got his attention and let him know we we're here. He said just wait a minute and rushed into the gas station then grabbed some coffee and came right back outside and then proceeded to meet us inside to talk about the trailer. Before we even told him what we needed he said it was gonna be at least 30 min before he could see it since he was short staffed again no biggie then my husband told him what was going on and he hurriedly got on the phone made a phone call and walked outside. He then comes inside real quick (still on the phone) asks us to back the trailer up to one of the stalls and as my husband is doing so he then Gave my husband instructions to move so another vehicle could pull out and my husband politely asked where he wanted my husband to move to. The gentleman then proceeded to yell at my husband to just wait a f***ing second. We then decided to go across the street and got the most amazing service ever. But I must say the lady in the gas station was incredibly nice and sweet

First things first, I called this place at 3:30pm because we blew a tire on the side of the road. After they said they were sending somebody out we repeatedly called and got ignored until we called from another phone. Everybody sounded drugged out. They started ignoring us again after 6 more hours, then they finally answer and say oh we will be there in 20 minutes and that they would only charge us 50$ for us being there all day. They didn t show up until 11:00pm. Them had the audacity to charge us 240.00$ this place is unprofessional and they don t care about anybody. Also, we are from across the country just trying to get home and needed a little help considering we didn t have a spare tire. If you along the side of the road, I would recommend calling somebody else.

One of the worst stations I've been to. This station advertises the cash price on the big sign. Expect to pay much more on your Chevron or other credit card. They also run an ongoing scam/service/? where they tell you how awful your tires are and how they can replace them with new ones in a jiff. The problem is the tires on these vehicles are often just fine. Not brand new, but just fine. Do yourself a favor and drive right on past.

I was a wondering English tourist making my way across Nevada. And I d lost my hat - not a wise idea with the Nevada sun. When I asked if they could sell me a new hat, they gave me one instead. Free of charge! Great people

Very helpful and courteous staff, it's awesome to have people that will go out of there way to make sure you have a safe drive with their expertise in vehicle repair and tires . They offer any service and have a pretty good tire selection. If they don't have it the will get it. There also is an eatery in this establishment called JJ's smoke hauz where they offer some of the most magnificent bbq I have ever eaten. I will keep coming back.. I love this place

I fueled up here on my way to Reno, NV. the gas station attendant took one look at my tires and put his gauge on it without asking. He told my my tire pressure was 12psi. I said that can't be right because I filled it to 32psi (Full load rating for the car, has pressures listed for half and full load.) that morning. So I pulled out my high quality calibrated digital gauge and it read 35.5psi. (heat from driving) He first says my gauge must be wrong, so I got out my analog gauge and it shows the same as the digital. He then admitted that his gauge shows the same, then he says with how my tires are sitting that I need new tires, which the tires are brand new.. The tires are just fine, most of the weight on this car is on the front end, he then says he has 2 of the same car and asks me to race him. I don't race, he pressured me hard to race. This place is not to be trusted! Also has a F rating from the Better Business Bureau, Failed to respond to all complaints even tho they are accredited.

The chevron business is great I like chervon but the owner of the Well's chevron is a different story. Harold Bent is the guy running the place. Never drop your vehicle off and assume they're just going to work on the problem you've told them about. Instead you go to get your vehicle and find out they've fixed all the problems and then charge you for work you didnt ask for. Very disappointed and a few hundreds of dollars gone.

Blew a tire. They gave me a deal on two new tires, but they messed something up because as soon as the tires were on the breaks went out. Now they refuse to even look and see what they messed up. Made 100 excuses why they can t even look at the car now. Never again. Do yourself a favor and drive to Elko.

Took a little long to show up but got the job done. What can I say 1 tire 650 dollars to come out and then he ask for cash only. Bring cash if you need road service.

Wells Chevron was okay could be a bit friendlier, my hubby asked a question looking for a place to sleep on the way to AZ..no ideas or help. Then again the Motel 6 rep was racist and rude..so maybe its the town...just passing thru.

The quality of the gas here is so far above and beyond any other quality of gas i'm suprised that it's not been made illegal by the federal government haha. But seriously though, it's clean, it's open 24x7 and it has gas - what more could you want?
