Absolutely horrible experience. Our Defender got a flat and we required a tow from Cal-Nevada. The tow was fine and the tow truck driver very professional and kind. It was late so he advised us he could tow it to the shop in a secure bay overnight and they would be able to fix the tire in the morning. The company is a tow company but also a tire/mechanical shop. The next morning my husband went to the shop to see our Defender sitting there not secured at all. When he went into the shop, my husband said the gentleman in the shop didn't even look up at him as he spoke to him and simply said "Sorry we can't help you". Clearly this is a common theme as I see the previous review where the vehicle wasn't secured and ransacked. I called Smoky Valley Tire 95km up the road and they were more than helpful and reassured us they could help. I wish I would have just had the vehicle towed there in the first place. We are on our way home to Canada and I cannot tell you how worrisome it can be to be broken down outside a small town, on a deserted highway, thousands of miles away from home and no one could care to help. Poor business and I would never want to break down in this town again. Bottom line it appears they could care less to help us.

Usually, when you need a towing company, you are already having a bad day. But with this place, you never know if it will get worse or not. This towing company is the only towing company in the area so they get all the tow jobs. In my case, I hit an antelope at 10 pm, and they said that no one could come out until the next morning. I was ok with that, but what I was not ok with is the fact that I had to leave my car in their parking lot while I went to get a rental in Reno and the next time I saw my car it had been ransacked. Every compartment of my car had been emptied, and everything that had a zipper or that could be dumped out was dumped out. The local sheriffs office and highway patrol were no help, and when I went into the towing shop first they wanted to deny what happened, and then they wanted to blame me. So many things were stolen while my car was parked in their lot, which has video surveillance and they were more interested in blaming me than helping me to try and recover my stuff. What a nightmare, hope this never happens to you. There were things stolen that I can never replace like my external disc drive with all my photos on it and business and personal work and documents and they probably already erased my stuff if I am lucky, if not they will probably try to steal more from my accounts or brag to others about how they ripped me off when I was vulnerable. They even stole the clip to my 9mm. They didn't get the gun, though, thank goodness but it seems like they are benefitting from ripping people off and don't even care about what it is doing to the people who they serve.

David! You are so wonderful! We were stuck on a fairly treacherous icy hill in Gemfield and David, who is from the very area we were stuck in, was quick to help us get unstuck and back on the road.He was patient, understanding, and so kind. Very professional but also had a great sense of humor. What could have been a terrible experience turned into an unexpected adventure. We felt assured the entire time that we would be getting back to our hotel within a few hours.David, you are seriously awesome. We won t forget you or this best case scenario situation.Goldfield is home to some real gems :)

Had my starter go out on my car and they gave me a tow to their shop. Being that it was Christmas weekend I didn't expect it to be fixed super fast. The guys said they could have the part in and the car fixed by end of day Tuesday, the day after Christmas. It wasn't. Having Driven from Oklahoma with my dog I needed to get back to Oklahoma so I could then get down to DFW and fly back to work. So when it wasn't fixed Tuesday I had to push my flight to Friday morning. Called Wednesday to check on it cause it was a 5hr drive from my parents place in Cali and Josh told me it was being brought into the shop and it would be done by the end of the day. So loaded my wife's Pilot up with all of our stuff, so the very back was to the ceiling and then my 3 kids were in the back seat with my 100lb+ Pitbull at their feet and made it to the shop about 15 minutes before they closed. But unlike I was told the car wasn't fixed cause the tow truck hadn't been around to move it 50ft into the garage and the guys said it would be done the next day by noon. So having bought my plane ticket already for Friday morning I now wasn't going to make that flight. I got the car back the next morning and drove 20 hrs back home straight thru but still missed the flight and couldn't get on a plane until Sunday. Cost me 600 in plane tickets and 2 hotel rooms plus the repair cost, with the repair cost I am out 1300 bucks and 4 days of work which is another 1000. Never got an apology or anything of the sort. Definitely would avoid this business like the plague, if you have to use the tow service have it towed to a professional mechanic cause this place is a joke at best and it's the only place around so I guess they think they can get away with it. Overall worst mechanic experience of my life.

I just got towed my truck. The b..... so rude and they over charge. She talks like she gonna bite you. So rude and racism. I was making payment Over the phone and she was keep saying we charge for another hour even they taking long to take payment. Don't call them..

If I could give zero stars I would. We had issues with my Durango and had it towed to the nearest shop in Tonopah to have it worked on. The mechanic failed to fix the major issues. I don't feel he has the qualifications to be working on vehicles besides maybe an oil change. However, after today I would question that. The office lady wasn't any better. They don't mind trying to argue with customers and blame the customers for the lack of proper service given. We were under the assumption that the mechanic was capable of fixing vehicle issues. We were wrong, a little honest communication from the mechanic instead of lying would have been helpful to start with. If he couldn't fix something, tell us, we can take it elsewhere to be fixed by someone who can. The office lady Monica was professional in the beginning but the moment I called to address the issues that weren't fix, she became disrespectful. The towing services were amazing!! I do recommend the towing services. Very professional. The mechanic shop side is unprofessional and lack the skills to fix vehicle issues or to even communicate with clients in a professional manner without lying.

We called Cal-Nevada Towing because our car overheated. Dave came and picked us up and was very friendly and helpful with helping us get to a hotel for the night. He was very open to any questions we had about their services and about how he could assist us. He arrived before the estimated hour arrival timeframe. He called us 20 minutes after dropping us off to let us know if they would be able to do the work on our van. Very appreciative of the communication.

Stuck in the middle of nowhere Nevada! Cal-Nevada towing was the Knight to the rescue!! Very professional and went way above and beyond to ensure that the truck was recovered and ready to roll again.I appreciate a business that is professional and fair. So thankful for this place! Our first driver (cannot remember his name) picked us up in the middle of the desert when nobody else would on our way to Las Vegas to make sure we got to town and to a hotel with our 4 year old, and the company assured us they would get us towed to Vegas the next day and did in a very timely manner. Dillion, our second driver was extremely respectful, awesome at interacting with our 4 year old, made for a comfortable ride, and was extremely accommodating. He drove us all they way to Vegas, and to a second shop down the road after the first couldn't help us. I cannot give enough stars, or recommend Dillon enough. Thank you Dillon and Cal-Nevada Towing for saving the day!!

My Chevy Duramax spun the serpentine belt 41 miles south of this shop on HWY 95. Dave towed my truck and travel trailer to town perfectly!The next day their shop had a new belt and idler pulley installed for less than $150 [the tow was covered by AAA roadside service].Excellent service! On March 10 my car overheated north of Beatty, NV. I did an internet search and found Cal-Nevada Towing. A million thanks to the Cal-Nevada manager, Dave, in Tonopah who towed me to their shop and went the extra mile (no pun intended) to find a new radiator for my 98 Honda. There were none in Tonopah, but he called other parts companies and had a Cal-Nevada driver bring one down from Sparks with a tire delivery that day. Through Dave's extra efforts of finding a radiator and actually doing the repair himself, I was on my way the next day! Can't thank him enough for taking care of a stranded driver!Service: Car towing

they fix the air conditioning on my friends monster truck. This is no small feet out in the middle of nowhere Nevada. I had to wait an hour or two to Pay for the work. (I assume they need to give their office help a raise) because there was no one in the office to take my money that knew how to work the computers. But Russ kindly, finally made a hand written receipt for me.

These guys came out and got me and my semi off the side of the road about 45 min after the call was made. Russ the driver was awesome! Got my truck situated then took me and my dog to a pet friendly motel. Great guy. They also worked on my truck at the Tonopah shop and Dave and Jose were great. Very knowledgeable about diagnosing the problem and taking care of it. I would give these guys 10 stars if I could.Service: Special vehicle towing

The service account Neva towing was amazing. We had a blowout in the middle of nowhere nearest town was 100 miles away, and when our own tow company progressive left us stranded there, Cal, Neva, and the driver, even though they were closed, came immediately and helped us out of a really bad jam Driver, Brandon from Cal Neva in Tonopah. was amazing respectful very helpful made the entire ordeal much more pleasing. Vintage VW bus. Driver was friendly and polite, and extremely capable and knowledgeable. Vehicle was not running and faced the wrong way to load, so driver manipulated his truck until the angle was satisfactory for him to load my bus. He never lost patience. After bus was loaded, I asked him to run a strap to secure the pop top. Again, he remained patient throughout the process. Cal-Nevada in Tonopah were great. I was traveling in my motorhome and before leaving the campground noticed my dually tires looked low. Tried to add Air but would not hold to desired pressure. Drove to Cal-Neva and spoke with Rammond. He diagnosed the problem instantly. If you have a tire problem, see Cal-Neva and Rammond in Tonopah NV. If ever needed, I'll see them again. Thank you ! !

The driver was awesome!! Great job pulling my van out for AAA payment price (you know they don't pay enough to these drivers) was kind to me the whole trip, very respectful and candid while we talked. He deserves the new truck he drives now.

Stuck mid way to Las Vegas, I hit a piece of rebar and slashed my tire. Jimmy showed up and helped us change our flat tire after our jack broke. He was extremely nice and helped with advice on where the closest tire place would be. Service: Tire changeService: Tire change

This place is the best. Our alternator needed to be replaced on a road trip and we were able to stop here and get it done. I can t say how amazing it was and how much of a lifesaver this place is. 11/10 would recommend. Awesome people and service!

Had a leaking valve in my RV. They looked at it and ordered the part and install it the following day and put me back on the road. The people are very friendly and nice. I really appreciate their help.

This place is ridiculous, and not in a good way. Yes, they were punctual and did a great job towing our truck to their shop. The shop itself, I would highly recommend people stay away from. We were told that the truck needed manifold gaskets and they were on order. We called every week, sometimes twice a week. (We were in route to AZ at the time of the break down) We kept getting told that the gaskets would be in the next day, then their was a delay, then they'd be in the next day. The truck sat there 5 weeks. 4 weeks! They couldn't get the gaskets in 4 weeks? We finally got fed up and rented a car trailer, drove the 500 miles to get the truck only to find out that all the silver change was stolen (they were kind enough to leave the ashtray open with just pennies left) a $300 set of rain gear as well as a few other items. The only thing that they did was remove 3 bolts from the manifold and leave them on the floor board. I would NEVER recommend this place for any type of repairs.Service: Local hauling

We were traveling in our fifth wheel, staying in Tonopah for a few days and developed a bubble in a tire.
