Both my headlights went out within 24 hours, I drive an older vehicle and they were able to find the required replacement bulbs, and replace them within 30 minutes. Great service, knowledgeable people and a great family run business. If in the Tahoe area and in need of service, definitely go here first!

I can't say enough, so I'll just give you the rundown. 2018 Chevy blew a water pump as soon as we left town to head home (9 hours away). Coasted back down the hill to the closest option. Turned out we ended up at THE BEST SHOP IN TAHOE!!!They had parts and rearranged their regular customers to get us back on the road. We were able to ride bikes and hang out in Heavenly for an extra day!! They took less time than expected and charged less than than the bid.Thanks to Kingsbury, we made it home with minimal delay!! Thank you guys SO MUCH!!!

10/10 great service. These guys have helped me out with my old truck twice in the last so many weeks. Friendly and reasonable. Fixed some issues that other mechanics swore were taken care of. Thank you to Elise and both Shawns for their help with my Ranger.

Visiting the Tahoe area when our water pump went out. It's never a good feeling being far from home (300 miles away) and having car problems, but decided to give Kingsbury Auto a try after reading the reviews. We were very fortunate they were able to take us in because they are in great demand. Not only did they fix the problem, the cost was very reasonable. They insure their work which gave us even more peace of mind. It was a joy to meet and speak with Sean and his daughter, Elise and if we ever find ourselves in need of work on our vehicle while in the Tahoe area we know who we will take it to.

They are pretty fast and good pricing.They couldn't fix my issue last time around which is a bummer. And wrote false information on the carfax report.But for a small shop they are just fine.

Absolutely amazing auto repair service! We had a broken trunk and needed to drive hours to get home that day. In desperation, we called Kingsbury Automotive to see if they could help us and they kindly offered to take a look. They were able to fix it up and did it FREE OF CHARGE. The workers there were so nice and I am so so grateful for their help. They definitely seemed to know what they were doing. Would highly recommend going for any of your auto needs!

I always use Kingsbury Auto as my go-to mechanic in the Tahoe area. They are always kind and quick to help with any issues they identify. They are one of the only solid remaining family-owned businesses in the area, and it is always a joy to support the good work that they do. That's on top of the fact that they always keep things reasonably priced and are willing to go the extra mile (sometimes literally) to find a part if your car needs it.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

Kingsbury Automotive is a well run family auto repair facility located in Stateline, Nevada.Elise manages the service desk and is always very helpful and polite. Her dad Sean (sp?) is always there at her side, and will expertly answer your service questions. Sean s sons work in the shop and perform their repairs and replacements with care and efficiency.This repair facility will take care of your auto needs. They will always ensure that you leave with a safe vehicle. Kingsbury Automotive is the best!! I was visiting Lake Tahoe when my check engine light came on. Kingsbury Automotive identified the problem and fixed it right away. We're from Oregon. Left tail lights (including brake) went out which isn't safe. I called Elise and she said c'mon in. It wasn't like they weren't busy either. They got right to it. I replaced both. I couldn't be more pleased. Friendly service!!

Friendly staff and reasonable prices. I thought it found a reliable mechanic but unfortunately they never seem to have time to work on my car. Just an oil change took 6 hours. And when my car broke down they didn t have the time or space and I had to tow it down to the valley to a random shop which cost me thousands.

Our front bumper was damaged on our rental car (we were on vacation) and the car was not drivable. They took a look and in about 25 minutes (which was great considering they were quite busy and decided to help us right away) the car looked as good as new. And it was all at a very low price! Super friendly family and great customer service! Very lucky we came across the shop!

Terrible people they made me pay $580 for them to Jerry rig some wiring because their mechanic was too incompetent to understand the 4X4 was shorting and the switch just needed to be replaced. I do not suggest going here because even when I brought it to their attention that after they "fixed it" my 4x4 went out resulting in a sliding out and crash. They handed my keys back to me and said they don't want me as a customer anymore because they're too arrogant to understand they screwed up.

Extremely friendly family owned business! My family and I were visiting Lake Tahoe when we ran in to some car trouble. The folks at Kingsbury were able to see me and help me out very quickly! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

So helpful. Just one of the nicest families in Tahoe. Shady Lane is a bit of a bear to get up but I guarantee you it's worth it. They also have a giant selection of chains.

Very knowledgeable people. We had an engine light on and AWD malfunction. We were thinking it s gonna cost us so much, but these mechanics found out it was the battery so quickly. Changed battery in no time for reasonable price and we were good to go. They have a great customer service as well!! Thank you!

So my husband spent at least $3k on his Ford F-250. $700 on doors alone. The truck won t start. The doors won t open. I called and left a message for them. I hope they call back. If they take care of it I will change the review but at this point they just steal money. As far as I am concerned they are not even mechanics because they fixed nothing. Deeply disappointed

My car broke outside of Strawberry and on the recommendation of the tow driver I had it dropped at Kingsbury Auto. Even though it was a Friday, they got on the problem and had all the parts and fixed it by Tuesday. The owner also drove to Carson City to pick up parts. These folks went out of their way to expedite the repair and get me rollin' again. Their shop rate is fair and they fully explained exactly what they did and why. I live near Monterey and I'm seriously considering taking my car to Tahoe so they can work on it. These folks are great. You can trust them with your car and not worry about getting screwed.

My Ford F250 diesel lost power. I was heading down to Baja, Mexico to meet friends and have a good time. I had my truck towed up to Kingsbury Auto. Shaun JR. went right away to diagnostic the problem. Once he knew what the problem was, his dad Shaun Senior ordered the part. It was delivered in less than an hour. JR was right on it and repaired my truck in two hours. I watch as JR remove and replace the valve cover gasket that has all the wires for the injectors on the right side of the motor. That was the problem. Thank you all at Kingsbury Auto for you getting me on the road so quick. I thought that it was going to cost me a lot of money. The cost was haft of what a Ford dealer ship would have charge that I found out later. To the folks at Kingsbury, thanks you so much.

I've been with this family owned and operated business since 2004. I will always take my vehicles here because of the quality and honest care they give to me and my car!! They have competitive prices and have always beat any other shop in town. I will always take my vehicle here for as long as I live in Tahoe.

These guys saved me $5,000. My truck had a serious issue with the engine, I consulted a few places that all said it needed to be replaced. Kingsbury Automotive's head mechanic "JR" spent a lot of time researching the issue and applied a fix that so far has lasted 20k miles.I ended up paying a few hundred dollars instead of having replacing the the engine. This is the only place I go to now. They always check on my engine just to make sure their fix I paid for 3 years ago is still 100% good to go. You don't get service like that at most places.By the way, that dog hanging out in the front of the shop is part of our local search and rescue. She has been credited for saving 3 peoples lives.

This is an excellent family owned business that has been making locals happy for decades. My son recently broke down on a visit from LA and the nice folks at KAS spent hours trying to find the problem. When they were unable to, they sent him to the Toyota dealership in town. They amazing thing is that despite their having a heavy schedule of repairs already, they stopped to diagnose his problem. When they were unable to find the problem they did not charge him anything. That is a sign of a great business. They will have my auto business in the future as they have in the past. I have no connection with them otherwise so this review is not slanted in their favor except through experience.
