Preferred Auto Care is great. I had the front axle, control arm, struts, lift, and a few other things done on my vehicle. They did a excellent job on my vehicle. Customer service was great and they kept me informed about my vehicle as it was getting work done. They had alot to do on my vehicle so it was at the shop for a little while. My friends recommend this shop and I am glad they did because it is a good shop. I definitely support these guys. I would highly recommend checking them out.

Trustworthy, honest, smart and swift. My car decimated a brand new battery and started spitting yellow fluid everywhere, I had to go to work and was so so ill prepared. I had it towed to preferred auto around 1pm on a Friday expecting my upcoming work week to be ruined, instead Leo was handing my keys and sending me off to my perfectly fixed car. The experts recognized the problems right away and had parts on hand, I was home and worry free when I had expected to spend the rest of the night frantically scrambling for solutions. So glad to have found these guys! Now I actually have something to say when people ask me for a mechanic recommendation.

We came to ski but the alternator had other ideas. This is an awesome repair shop and Leo is a straight shooter. Got us diagnosed, repaired and back on the road super fast.

We've been taking our high mileage Honda and Subaru to PAC for a couple years now. Leo is a straight shooter, he's honest and professional. Our experience with his shop has been great. Preferred Auto Care is our go-to shop for Toyota service and a perfect alternative to Toyota, Honda, and Subaru dealerships. Leo is professional, knowledgeable, and his techs are better trained and have more experience than the local dealership.

I brought my 2017 Corolla iM commuter here based on the reviews I'd seen on multiple platforms saying the shop does good work for a reasonable price. Communication was good, and turnaround was very good as well. I'd taken my car in to replace the clutch and they ended up finding my transmission was an issue, as well, after completing clutch installation. They offered me a bit of a break, as there was some double labor involved, which was quite generous of them as I didn't dispute the cost of the job or request a deal. Nice folks in person, and I'll take my Toyota back to them in the future -- it will hopefully only be for minor maintenance!Thank you to Leo and team.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I have been sending my vehicles to Preferred for several years, and they have always provided excellent service.Honest, straightforward people.Another shop had serviced my truck, and it barely ran. Preferred resolved the problem, a minor correction, but the other shop said the engine needed to be replaced. I recommend this shop to everyone I know with a Japanese import vehicle.

Leo and team always do great work and offer good value. I have 2 Lexus, 1 Honda, and 1 Toyota, and they all go to Preferred for care and repair. Wish I could talk them into working on my Ford!

A mechanic shop had "worked" on my daughter's Tacoma and it barely ran. That other shop charged nearly $1,000 for very bad service. Tom and Leo looked over the vehicle , we discussed the issue's and they corrected the problems for under $100. She went back to other shop and received the $100 as a refund.Preferred Auto Care has since serviced all our families vehicles and they run fantastic. Reliable, honest and affordable.

They did a complete valve overhaul for my 2002 Tacoma (also put on shocks). Honestly, I would not take my truck to anyone but these guys. Leo is just a fabulous "face" for this business. In a world where customer service has deteriorated these guys continue to excel.Kudos

I've been using Preferred Auto Care since 2012 for a honda and now a Toyota. These guys are trust worthy and do great work in my experience. I'd recommend them to everyone for Japanese cars.

I ve dealt with Preferred Auto Care for years. Leo picked up where Tom left off and the service, timeliness and quality of work hasn t skipped a beat. Leo helped out with doing an inspection on a 99 4Runner I was looking at purchasing. I'm located in TX and he was super helpful and very thorough in his inspection. Very thankful for this business and Leo's assistance as he saved me from buying a flight for a money pit.

Needed advice & help installing a new license plate holder w/key box. Even though Tom, the owner, was busy, he was able to attach the license plate holder to the car. There is no way that I could have done it without Tom's help. Sadly, this Friday will be his last as he is retiring. So, if you need any work done on your car, better get in there. Although, Leo will be taking over & he is not only an excellent mechanic but very personable. I'm sure the shop will be in good hands. Tom was my point of contact for preferred auto care and he was very courteous and straight forward. They had my Honda fixed in two days time when the Honda dealership themselves couldn't figure out the problem (a worn CV joint). I would recommend this place.

I want to take this time to let you know this is the best shop in the area and I have been taking my car here since I moved to Reno in 2007. Actually I have take 3 Acura's and next week my mother in laws Toyota!Do you need any better recommendation than that??Tom is fair, honest and stands behind the work of every member of his exceptional team.I have NEVER felt over charged or got less than what I was paying for!

My vehicle is a 2004 Toyota 4Runner. I had an issue with a leaking transfer case, something that is relatively common with that year. I did a lot of research and decided to replace the transfer case. I found a good used replacement online and had it delivered to me and then researched local companies that could do the work. After a quick phone call to Preferred I decided to have them do the work. They got me in immediately and performed the work expertly. I recommend them without hesitation.

Amazing. Honest and fair. I heard him turn down business they didn't specialize in and refer to someone else. He ordered a part he thought he might need and didn't end up needing and sent it back with no spin. Rated importance of the repairs i needed since money was an issue for me. No scare tactics unlike some others. The work they did was quality with no cheap replacement parts. Prices more than reasonable, came in under estimate a couple times even. Can't say enough good things. I won't go anywhere else as long as he's an option.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Tom was recommended to me by a friend at church. We were about 30,000 miles late on my wife's Toyota's timing belt. Fit us right into the schedule, the work looks to be stellar. Even cleaned the engine compartment. The bill matched the estimate to the penny. Too bad that we only have one Toyota. Best place that we've found in town yet to get the Toyota fixed! Thanks Tom!
