Steve was great, we visited Reno a few weeks back and unfortunately broke down. We called Steve who fitted us in at short notice, fixed our can there and then and was very reasonable price wise. We couldn t have asked for a better service. We would definitely recommend him...

I remember Steve getting me out of a bind a few years ago, and here I was again! I have a car that's definitely living on borrowed time. Obviously there is a fee each time he comes out, but I understand that being a mobile service provider myself. Still, it's so worth it watching the diagnostic process in action and having someone explain to you what he's seeing and what it means. Also, I have to get the intake replaced if I still have this car for very long, have needed it for several years! So far he's given me the best quote on that yet.

This is a long overdue post because we are so grateful for the work done by the Flying Scotman. Our motor home would not crank over (it wasn't the battery) so we were stuck and unable to tow it. (not registered and been sitting for years) He came out, diagnosed the problem, gave us an accurate and reasonable quote and had it fixed in several hours. Happy to say we sold it and if it had not been for the Scotman the vehicle would have sat for another 10 years.

Fellow Scotsman disappointed with service.Contacted Flying Scotsman and requested service. Explained the issue to him, he said "yes I can handle that, no big deal."He set up a specific date/time that fit in with his schedule. I took time off work to accommodate that schedule. When the time came, he didn't show for the appointment. Called him and he said, "yeah sorry, I have a child support hearing, whatever, can I do it later?", so he rescheduled for the next day, same time.Next day came, he didn't show. Called him again. "Wow man, Sorry I totally forgot, and I'm gonna sleep in. Can we do it later?" Rescheduled him again 3:00 in the afternoon. He showed up about 4:30ish.When he came to assess the issue with my vehicle, after about 20 minutes of googling it on his phone, he said I needed a new bracket for the idler. He called O'Reilly's and told me they didn't have the part right now, and they'd have to special order it, but it'd be here tomorrow morning. Then he said "sorry I charge $100 every time I come out. I'll have to come back tomorrow when the part is ready."It didn't make sense to me how they could "special order" a part and have it arrive early in the morning, unless it's already in town somewhere, so I called O'Reilly's about the part and they said they had it, but he just chose not to pick it up that day. So he delayed fixing my vehicle again, so he could come out twice and double charge me for labor. ($200)Next day he showed up ready to at last fix the vehicle, and when he arrived he was on his bluetooth loudly complaining to someone that this "wasn't worth his time" and bellyaching about this and that, he doesn't like the design of American cars, complaining about his personal problems, etc.He did replace the bracket, but that ended up not even being the main issue and I had to tow it anyway. Would've been more worthwhile to tow it from the beginning, but you live and you learn.I wouldn't have left a negative review if he hadn't tried to double charge me for labor unnecessarily and lie about the part. Not cool bro.Took 3 days and $350 to do what could have been done in 30 minutes for $100 or less.Doesn't seem very interested in his job, nor showing up to his own appointments. He didn't fix what needed to be fixed with my vehicle, but he charged me anyway. Complained through every second of it. Overcharged me about $250 for a simple fix.Didn't care for the service, next time I'll just tow it to a real mechanic.

Steve saved us! We were visiting Reno the weekend (my kid had Freshman orientation at UNR) and the inverter in the back of our Sprinter van stopped turning on. It's Saturday and we are going to go back to Vegas Sunday we were searching for a repair shop but none of the audio or video shops knew anything about inverters. We tried Audio Express and Encore AudioVisual Design. But nada. Then I called the flying Scotsman! He arrived to where I was in 5 minutes and 20 minutes later we had power again! Thank you Steve!

He is a nice guy, but knows his limitations. He was supposed to get back to me regarding an issue with my car that he checked out, but never did. He also did not have the correct scan tool with him.He is probably better with American made vehicles.

Steve is genuine at giving opinion. Arrived home at a short notice on a Sunday. Doesn't like randomly changing things which is what every service center is notoriously famous for. Fixed the problem right away.

Stranded 6 hours from home with a bad alternator. He rearranged his schedule to get to me so I could get to my elderly mother. On time, quick, friendly. ON SUNDAY MORNING! He s a life saver!

lies and doesent pay his help. then threatens to send people to your house. I was so in fear that I moved out of Reno. The harassment never stops. as long as he makes 200 of you he is good.
