I was in an awkward situation when my window stopped working on the day of a big storm. Southgate graciously offered to let me bring my car in right away and they sheltered it until they could fix my window. Having an old car makes me hesitant to spend much on repairs but Michael at Southgate was very informative about costs and what could wait and what was more urgent. I appreciated that so much. Their work is good, their costs are fair, and their customer service is amazing. I highly recommend Southgate Automotive!

Had an emergency repair to get to work, idler tensioners needed replacement. Brought my SUV in at 1pm. They did a safety check and told me it would be good to go at 5pm. I asked if it could be done sooner as I needed to get back to work. At 3:45 it was done and I was actually on time to work. Mike and Cameron were nice as can be. Price was within reason. Car is quiet again. Highly recommend these guys.

They replaced a fuel pump for me but it was a tricky gig since two of the nuts on the sway bar were broken and the c-clamp part was at-risk and discontinued. All was well, and my 2003, 300k+ miles car is back on the road again.Also, they were extremely communicative and sent all quotes and info proactively through text.Service: Engine repair

BE CAREFUL! They will charge you a $90.00 fee to give you an estimate. Noone should charge you for an estimate. Told me it was to "diagnose ". I needed a control knob to change the temperature replaced. There is nothing to diagnose. Told me the part is no longer available and still charged me FOR DOING NOTHING to get my truck back. TOTAL RIPOFFS.

I won a gift certificate on the radio was kinda nervous going to a new spot but it was an easy and great experience! They got me in right away.I didn t get the lady at the fronts name but she was so nice. Great customer service. Definitely will be going back!

I take all my vehicles to Southgate for all their needs! They follow up all inspections with a text and photos on car concerns that help me make the best decision for the health of my vehicles. And since I keep my vehicles for a long long time, they keep them running great!

WOW! This shop is honest! I brought my diesel truck in due to some codes coming on the dashboard. I have been burned by the local dealership so I wanted to find a trustworthy place - this is it! They told me in advance they may not be able to help and told me their diagnostic fee - which I agreed to because I wanted advice. They could not fix the problem and referred me out and provided me a print out of items for what the codes ment (which is not in the operating manual) - they did not charge me a penny! They are honest and told me up front they may not be able to help but I brought it in anyway and was happy to pay their diagnostic fee, but they did not charge me. I would not hesitate to go here! They are in it for the long game for customers - not short term - plus - their technology is great - texts and updates about appt time and status - well done! - thank you for being honest and caring!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection

Southgate has always done a great job with my vehicle, but I was a bit disappointed this time. They said I needed a new battery. I had not had any problems with the battery recently. I took my truck to 2 other shops and had a battery test done. They both said my battery was fine and didn t need replacement at this time. I also had the wiper blades replaced. $48 - really for 2 snap on wiper blades. I ll do that myself next time.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

Have been using Southgate Automotive for a couple years with great results. This is an long established, friendly, family business that is very customer oriented. Communication is excellent from start to finish and they always get the job done well. Took car in for brakes but ended up having to get brakes, calipers, and front struts. They were really nice and I didn't feel rushed or taken advantage of because I'm a young woman. Will definitely be going back.

I was able to get my car in the same day I was having trouble! The man at the front desk was honest and told me that a plastic piece I needed for the bottom of my car was going to run $400 and that the piece wasn't necessary and he wouldn't spend the money on replacing it if it were him.

I have had my car for many years and every time I take it in to see Dave and Cameron they take such good care of it! I don t know anything about cars but they make it nice and simple and don t make me feel stupid for not knowing about it! They are kind, honest and reliable!

This was my 90,000 mile service. The shop is clean as a whistle.My truck was serviced bumper to bumper. New battery, serpentine belts radiator flush with new cap, and every joint, seals, rear end fluids.Quite pleased. Great experience here! I called early in the morning with a pop-up car issue that happened during an emergency trip to see family, and they told me to come on in! We were very impressed with the professional and timely service - my car is running perfectly now. After a few very bad experiences at other shops, I would highly recommend Southgate Automotive. I especially liked the way they send you a very thorough car inspection report right away before proceeding with work. Take your car here if you want great auto service!

I m still so grateful I found Southgate Automotive after relocating from Illinois. They are an awesome small business who is honest and upfront. I love that they take pictures of the work needed and send it to you so you can see. Also they are able to text message you with updates or authorization and have VERY fair pricing. Because I work in a job that I m not able to pick up the phone constantly, the text message communication is wonderful. I FULLY TRUST them with my vehicles.By the way, I found them via a Yelp review and I m so glad I did.
