I have not had my car repaired yet. But I did have it looked at and they ended up checking everything that might have been the problem. They are going to use quality parts not some chain auto parts store part .and they have a warranty with the parts an labor so I am definitely comfortable with them doing the repair soon.

My van ran better than it had it a few years after MAPT automotive correctly diagnosed the issues and then fixed my vehicle properly. So I hate to be a stereotype but I hate dealing with car maintenance. I have had a number of bad experiences here in Reno, namely the local-giant dealership service department. So I decided to use Yelp project quote to look for a better service. MAPT responded quickly and basically took care of what the dealership messed up. I m hopeful that I ve found a shop that can take care of the scheduled maintenance and more going forward. Came in to inquire and make an appointment for my 2007 Corolla. My check engine light was on and my car started acting funny. Rough idle, dying out when I engaged the clutch.MAPT Automotive was able to get me in that day and fix the problem. They replaced a leaking gasket and ran a full diagnostics on my vehicle. I m a DIYer with my car, but recently I had a check engine light that I could not solve. I took it over to MAPT, and they did a thorough diagnostic that I couldn t do, and figured out what I needed to fix. I got the part, swapped it out, and the light went away. I ve also had them do more complex work on my car that s above my DIYer skill level, and I m more than thrilled with the quality and results of their work. This is the only place I ll go in Reno. They have same day appointments, diagnose quickly, and never upsell. They were able to diagnose and fix a problem the Ford dealership couldn t do in 2 visits. Honest. Friendly. Quick. 100% best prices in town. Communication was the best I've ever gotten from a shop. They have a system they communicate throughout the day VIA text. Easy to get a hold of. The system also allows them to upload photos so you can see first hand what is going on and so you have proof they aren't scamming. Had my jeep in and out the same day. No issues. Owner even followed up days after to make sure everything was fine. I will never use another shop. I didn t even have an appt with these guys and they came out to my smoking car and started making phone calls to see if it s covered by insurance and that they could start working on it that day. Owners wife is a nurse and they do a small nursing discount for repeat customers. Very knowledgeable and friendly. If any car trouble I will be returning. Pleasant unexpected surprise.

My 2004 Sebring has a constant grinding/rumbling noise in the front end as I drive, increasing when I turn to the left. I went to MAPT to have it fixed. Their diagnosis to fix the noise was to replace the front brake pads and rotors and struts and bushings. This didn't seem logical to me but I figured they knew what they were talking about and agreed to the brake job after again being told that this would end the grinding.MAPT charged me $385.20 for the brake job which I had to pay before I could get my car back. I drove it away and the grinding noise was still there, exactly as before. I emailed the owner Matt and told him that this is not what I expect from a good auto repair shop, and I questioned the diagnosis, pointing out that if there was some logical reason why the brakes would be causing the noise, I would expect his guys to see some evidence of the metal to metal or some cause and effect when they got into the brake job (they should have seen it as part of the diagnosis). But MAPT's brake job diagnosis was just a guess with zero physical evidence or logic to back it up. I asked for a partial refund of $150 since they didn't fix the problem.Matt's reply was he would give no refund and that I needed to have new struts, control arm bushings, and sway bar end links. I asked him to explain how these "worn" parts could cause grinding noises when driving and he never responded. He was again expecting me to pay even more hundreds of dollars for side-issues that still wouldn't fix the original problem.BTW, my old rotors were not gouged and yet MAPT charged me for new ones since the shop "doesn't have a rotor resurfacing machine." MAPT also charged me $33.23 for "shop supplies." That's a lot of paper towels and spray cleaner.MAPT seems to have no problem with mis-diagnosing the cause of the problem the customer comes to them to fix since they can make big profit by "fixing" those mis-diagnosed side problems. All while expecting customers to pay and not complain.Service: Brake service & repair

Great communication the entire time. Car in and out same day! I priced out places all over town and they had the best prices and quoted the fastest turn around time.
