These guys are amazing! Fast, courteous, honest, proactive! Everytime I go, they treat me and my husband with respect. They always exain what the problem is, what needs to be done, and I've never felt like they are talking down or taking advantage of me. If there is a question about billing, they explain thoroughly.If you have a car problem, go see these guys! They will take care of you, like they've taken care of me and my family. You will not regret it.

I bought a couple Groupons for "All About Cars". 1 for me and 1 for my son. They included 3 oil changes and 3 tire rotations. When my son went in, he was on time for his 2pm appointment but had to wait 15 minutes before anyone even showed up. When they did his oil change one of the "gentleman" came in and tried to up sell him on a tune up for $700. When my son said no he got a little short with my son and charged him for the oil but didn't give him his card for the Groupon or rotate his tires.When I went in I made it clear what I wanted from the start. Part of the way through the same "gentleman" came in and told me I needed new rear brakes and rotors. That it's typically 500 but he would only charge me 400. When I told him no, he tried using scare tactics. I told him I had a friend who would do it for way less than that. He said does your friend change oil too? Then he went into the back office and laughed about what he said. Both my son and myself made the comment that we felt we had to watch them do the work. We both have worked on cars since we were young but I'm at the age where I would rather pay to have it done. BUT, I will not be paying All About Cars. They don't deserve my hard earned money. Up sell your customers, don't strong arm them. Don't make fun of them and don't assume that they don't know anything. Most of all show some respect to the people paying your bills. If I can't pay for an up sale this time, I might find the money next time if I feel respected. But, now you're just losing business. Also they told me they were losing money on me because I bought a Groupon for services. Then don't sell them!!! Simple as that. Try going by word of mouth or advertising. Good luck.

I cannot rave enough about this place! We had our first experience together when having tires mounted on my car I recently purchased. Following that experience I ended up with a questionable issue I needed help with and without question Joe had me come right in and made sure to take the utmost care of myself and my vehicle. Free of charge he did a diagnostic, reset some techy car stuff and gave me helpful fatherly advice in regards to maintaining a vehicle thoroughly. I haven't even considered going anywhere else for car services. Thank you guys for making me feel important and treating me like family! You guys are awesome!

I did not have a great experience at this place. My car was overheating. They told me they ran some tests and that my head gaskets were fine but I had some issues with my radiator. So they replaced my radiator and I paid a lot of money for the various services they performed. Unfortunately, four weeks later my car started overheating again. I took it back to them and they said everything looked fine and were very adamant in stating that it clearly couldn t be their fault that it was still overheating because they fixed the problem, but this must be a new problem, that they couldn t find. They were rude to me, and interrupt me when I was talking and basically acted like I knew nothing of what I was talking about (which maybe is true, but it was still rude of them). I then took my car somewhere else, and found out that my head gasket is blown and essentially my car is totaled. So I paid them to replace the radiator for nothing.The only good thing I have to say is that they were able to get me in quickly when nobody else could.Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but from my experience, I would not recommend them.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I recently visited All About Cars Reno for some car maintenance, and I was quite impressed with their service. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining the issues clearly and providing reasonable solutions. I would highly recommended them!

It used to be my go to place for years. Something has drastically changed here. #1-You used to make an appointment and they would get you right in. Now they let you make appointment to get your business and when you get there they tell you they will get to it when they get to it with a snotty attitude. Four years ago I bought a lifetime alignment for both my vehicles. When you go to use it they get all bent out of shape saying you were "Just Here year ago!" I'll use as often as I want or need it.I would never come back here if I hadn't bought the lifetime alignment. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE SHYTERS.Service: Wheel alignment

Our car broke down in Reno while on a road trip from Washington, we still had a few days left on our trip. The owners were very kind, fast and reliable! They got us right in, had great customer service and got our car fixed! We were able to go on the rest of our trip without worrying about the car. Joe and his crew are amazing. I was stranded in Reno while traveling and he was able to get me in ASAP and diagnosed the problem. Very knowledgeable. Very fair with their pricing. If I didn't live 5 hours away I would make them my regular shop.

Nightmare. No car for three weeks. I called and explained the problem and they said they could fix my car. I had my car towed to their shop because they assured me they knew what to do. I called every day to get an update and kept getting one excuse after another. Finally I spoke with a rude and condescending person who said, "I am Joe the owner." He blamed me for their inability to fix the problem before telling me my car will need to go to the car dealer. They would not even help with towing. When I went to coordinate the tow they would not answer any questions and told me I needed to take care of it myself. In order to get my car to a place that could actually fix it, I had to pay these people $800 dollars, even though, again, my car was not driveable and they had not done any discernable work. The dealer said my car was a mess and they had to put it back together after being torn apart by this shop. The dealer fixed my car in 2 days and charged me half what this place did.I am extremely disappointed in this interaction with this shop. I have taken all of my cars here for the last 5 years and referred friends and family here, but not any longer. They were rude, condescending, and dishonest about what they could do. I would not recommend this shop to my worst enemy.Service: Electrical

I have been going to All about cars for almost 10 years for all the mechanical problems and maintenance with 2 d,ifferent cars. I have received the best mechanical and maintenance work. Joe the owner is an Honest, hard working man who cares about people. He never adds extra non needed work. He tells you what you need and if you want the job done with his shop then he is very on time. He treats everyone with respect, he is really an excellent gentleman who cares about the community.Most Uber and Lyft drivers go to All About cars, and I recommed him to all my friends.His prices are very resonable and his brother who runs the front desk for him, is also a gentlman, friendly and has a great Customer service!! Anyone needing a good mechanic should try all about cars. He fixed my air-conditioning/condenser, changed my breaks, I purchased life time allignment package which he offers and it is very reasonable and he honors all of his �oupons and specials.All my oil changes for the past 10 years, I even got tires from him which was more reasonable than anywhere else in Reno!! This company is the worst for customer service - nasty people. The company used to be good until the owner passed the company on to his son.We have been taking our car here for years for alignments and the occasional oil change.They don't keep their appointment times at all. They are dishonest in terms of their supposed 'lifetime alignment' contracts - they pretend to align the car, then claim their printer is out or their alignment equipment is non-functional. They will claim this anytime you call to get the car serviced. They don't want to honor the contract we paid for.There are other mechanics in Reno that are far more honest and trustworthy - we are going to go to them from now on.Service: General repairs & maintenance

REPONSE TO JEFF JOHNSON.All About CarsMr. Johnson called me stating that had been working on his 2005 Honda CR-V. He was trying to diagnose his own vehicle that did not want to start. He stated that he had replaced the alternator, starter among other things. After that, he tried to replace the ignition switch, breaking it in the process. The vehicle was towed to All About Cars. I explained to him that the first thing we would have to do was fixed the ignition switch then try to diagnose why it wouldn't start. Once the vehicle was at the shop, we discovered that Mr. Johnson had broken the ignition switch that goes to the steering column. I explained to Mr. Johnson that the most cost affection course of action was to replace the steering column with another column with an ignition switch still intact. I tried to find the ignition switch only, but being that the vehicle is an older model and has a manual transmission, that part was not available. We replaced the steering column and I called a locksmith. The vehicle is equipped with a smart key that requires programming. The locksmith tried to program the keys and said he could not communicate to the vehicle's computer. It was at that point that I told Mr. Johnson that I could no longer help him here at the shop. I didn't want to throw parts at the vehicle or charge him for extra diagnostic time. In the spirit of fairness, I told Mr. Johnson that I was not going to charge him diagnostic time or for the programming of the key, that was not successful, so he could instead use that money to tow the vehicle to the dealer. The only thing he would be charged for was the part the we installed (ignition switch) , a part that he broke. It is unfortunate that Mr. Johnson was not satisfied with our work, but I was honest and transparent throughout the entire process. We are a family owned and operated shop and we do good, honest work. I know Mr. Johnson was probably frustrated that his vehicle was not working, but that does not give one the right to tarnish our reputation.

the quality of service I received from this place is just unforgettable . this is everything a shop should be .everyone in here is so knowledgeable and helpful and The prices are amazing .. I came in at 5:20 p.m they close at 6 My car was making a horrible grinding noise ,I was desperate to get this fixed . we were just passing through to go to California . joe said I'll help you I can almost guarantee no other company would take anyone 40 minutes to closing for a brake and rotor change .they did it in under 20 minutes .. They made sure the car was safe .. this company actually cares about you and your well-being They make sure that you are safe on the road and don't take advantage of anyone straightforward and honest . how often can you say that about a company these days ... I have used All About Cars in Reno going on 11 years. These guys are great! I have taken my sons vehicles, clients, work vehicles and my own there for service and have always received prompt, accurate and timely service. They have always honored any warranty work. I highly recommend this shop! Thanks guys for keeping us safely on the road.... and at the best prices!!

I Can not Tell you How Impressed i am with this Place! Joe and Angel were so helpful with my Car, Was Broke down when i Brought it in, They were on it right Away! Full inspection, Many Problems, Thought it would be a week without it, They had it done the Next Day! Very Honest about all the Repairs, Reasonable Prices, I Never Felt Ripped off, and They Have the Best Warranty! Finally Found a Trusting and Caring Mechanic! Thank You Guys!!

We were vacationing in Reno from Oregon. Our truck developed a serious engine problem on the day we were supposed to drive home. I was supposed to start a new job the next day, so we were really in need of immediate help. These guys were awesome. They got right on it, diagnosed and fixed the problem, and had us on our way in a few hours. Excellent customer service and they repaired it right the first time. We are very thankful and would recommend these guys without hesitation.

I am very thankful and grateful for All About Cars services. My friend and I was coming from the Bay Area for a bowling tournament and discovered the engine light on in his mustang. We stopped in Sacramento got a new battery and coasted those mountains to RENO non stop. Got to reno, stopped to get battery charged because the alternator went out and drained the battery. We called All About Cars services and they was able to put a new alternator in on that day. Thank you so much for your services guys, much appreciated it. Or else we would have been stuck in RENO til WED.

I took my car to them. They did some work that they thought it would be. They gave me my car back and the next day there was the same problem that showed back up. Well I took it back to them because they said they will honour their work. Two weeks later I get my car back after they said there was nothing wrong. Not two hours later same problem. I took it to the dealership and they found the problem. Something that All About Cars didn t even look at. I will never go back to this place and I will never let any of my friends go either. They are a rip-off.

Our truck suddenly started stalling and the check engine light came on while on a family road trip. Joe got us in first thing in the morning and was honest about timeline for fixing it. He was able to get us on the road that day though and didn t charge us an arm and a leg. He saved our trip and our truck!Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I feel like I spend more time here than almost anywhere else in Reno.. So many cars, so many breakdowns. They ALWAYS do a good job. Being a woman trying to get a car fixed without price gouging and fixing unnecessary things is RARE. These guys take care of me and they don't tell me BS just to make a dime. If you want a fast turn around, reliable work, and decent prices go see Joe and Joaquin. I've taken my 2000 eclipse in, 2007 avalanche, 2015 Jeep (today), and they'll be seeing my ML320 next week.

Joe and his team took EXCELLENT care of me when I was in dire need of an honest mechanic. They gave me the best rate anywhere on a new transmission, and helped with some broken hoses while they were at it. They never upsold me, were professional and quick, and I'll keep them as my go-to shop for years to come.

Jason is very personable and easy to talk to.I bought the Groupon at first, and because of Kent's help and knowledge I will continue using this shop. They will be my new Mechanics.They have both shown and explained to me the problems with my vehicles very clearly. They honored their work and I didn't feel ripped off at all.

This place is seriously amazing!! They fixed my jeep woth no problems!! They took such good care of me. This means so much to me because this is the jeep I dive my children in. Definitely recommend this place to everyone! Joe and Angel are wonderful! Walked me through the whole process and answered all my questions. Didn't make me feel dumb for not knowing something...thank you so much for all you did for me!! I will recommend all my friends and family to you!!
