My mom Sue took her Corvette to be fixed and they found it wasn't broken so they did a transmission fluid change for the same cost to fix it. They where amazing and made her experience memorable. She will be back again with all her vehicles. Great job guys we appreciate you!

We worked with Gabriel in trying to get my daughter's car working again. Hey listen to me every step of the way he kept in contact with me he let me know what was going on hey let me know of the charges. He was super Awawesome. I'm definitely going to recommend him to other people

The team at AAMCO (2155 Market St in Reno) was amazing. From start to finish they were rapid diagnosing the issue with our F150, communicative as they ordered the transmission and awaited delivery confirmation, and ensured smooth and easy pickup very close to the end of their business day when it was ready (with my freshly washed and shiny vehicle). Friendly and very professional team at every level!

CUSTOMERS BEWARETook my car here per my warranty had the worst experience, my car had a little bit of smoke coming from under the hood paid to have it towed for obvious reasons. Mind you i documented with photos and video of what my car was doing thru out this entire process.They told me it was the valve cover gasket and said they would fix it did the pulleys spark plugs oil change. Not after 5 minutes from picking up my car every system malfunctioned, my dash light up couldn't drive over 10 miles per hour. They had it towed back took them 4 hours to tell me they had a defect on a spark plug, cool they replaced it and I was on my way. 5 days later same thing my dash light up every system malfunctioned. Called them immediatelyi paid to have it towed back to them as they don't cover towing. They had my car for a day. Said it must have been a bunch of bad spark plugs. Ok fine. They replaced it and guaranteed my car would drive to california and back as im going on vacation in august ,no problems everything is fixed. 6 days later my car is smoking worse then before. Dropped it back off with them, now they are telling me it was the timing chain cover and they needed to replace the entire thing. Which by the way I have already spent 250 per tow x2 and another almost 800 for the original issue and now this would cost 3k. Told them no I'd be taking it to the dealer, mind u I had to beg the dealer to look at my car as they are booked until june. I'm looking at being 2 weeks without a car at the dealer on top of the numerous days I had to call out to go pick up my vehicle. This place only made my car worse with empty promises that my car was fixed "it was perfect". What a shame. Do not reccomend.EDIT TO ADD MY DEALERSHIPS NOTES:aamco over filled my oil by 2 quarts. Timing cover and timing are perfectly fine. They fou d absolutely no leaks in the timing per my dealership, but they fear that you over filling of my oil.. cracked the head on my motor. Thanks for that.. way to go aamco for trying to charge me 3k for something that's not broken, and over filling the oil by 2 quarts I do have receipts from my dealerships diagnostics also. What a scam if I could give you zero stars I would. Also please have your insurance reach out to me so I can file a claim ,immediately

I had taken my truck to AAMCO in Carson City for free diagnosis and they told me I needed a new transmission, that it would be $8500 and 3 weeks. I called Reno AAMCO to see if they had any better options and Gabriel said that the Carson City quote was too high and that his shop could do it for $6800 in 10 days. While getting the quote I provided the VIN and the information that my transmission wasn't PTO. So, I trailered the vehicle to the Reno shop. I had to put down a deposit before they could order the transmission. They wanted a deposit of $2500. They called the next day and said that transmission they quoted wouldn't work because it was a PTO. Now they said it would be $8000 plus tax. 125% increase on the originally quoted amount. I said to forget it, that I would come pick up the truck and do it myself. At which point they told me the deposit was NONREFUNDABLE. Capitol Ford in Carson City advises that PTO does not make a difference to the transmission order (its not a special order). However, I had no choice but to pay them the extra money. My dad said I should file with BBB because the auto repair places are not allowed to increase their quotes under pressure like that. A quote is a quote. Just because I scrapped together $7000 doesn't mean that I have $8500. I feel taken advantage of.Note: The work done was solid and I have no issues with the transmission it is the last minute PRICE INCREASE that I felt strong-armed to.

We drive a Acura MDX and Gabriel was very professional. Wonderful job on the car drives great. My car is 20 years old and I need a new transmission. We did a payment plan so I didn't need to pay it all at one time. Thank you so much. Customer for life.

Aamco is a great place to take your car to ,and if you want a awesome person to work on tour ask Gabriel and he will take care of your car need ,I personal appreciate Gabriel for all of the hard work he did on my cat, I personally want to say thank you again Gabriel for everything you did for my car

11/30/23My 2014 crosstrek check engine light was on and AAMCO diagnosed the problem to the valve body. They fixed the car in a timely manner, and the staff was approachable and knowledgeable. $2500 for the repair. Would recommend. I would suggest they had a night light near the key drop box, it is very dark in the parking lot and I felt uneasy leaving my car overnight.

Gabriel and Dennis were a great help.They checked the level of the transmission fluid in my vehicle it was a litte low so was my oil and Dennis toped them both off for me at no charge.And I the wait was only a few minutes and they were very, very helpful and nice.Thank you for your help

Took my 06 Corvette there last year for a trans service, great work and quick. I just took my Challenger over to check out a leak at the bellhousing. It turned out that it was the engine oil cooler, nothing transmission or rear main seal related. Again, a quick and accurate job, done honestly. I've had very poo experiences at just about every other shop I've tried in the Reno area with work, so it's great to know I have a place to come to where I can trust what they're doing and know it will be done right!

This AAMCO is by far the absolute best!! Gabriel and the team there treated us with respect and took great care of our car!!! It had to be serviced there several times and I couldn't be more pleased!! I would 100% recommend them!!! Thank you!!!

The Front. desk Guy. Gabriel was very nice very helpful. And they are honest people. I brought my truck in for a new transmission. They could have very easily just put a transmission in but they were honest And told me it wasn't a bad transmission. And they didn't charge me

These guys are really the best in town!!! They got me a great deal on a new transmission, installed in such a timely manor!I then had to come back and check out a totally diff minor issue that Gabriel helped out with no hesitation such a great experience

I had a 4wd issue with my 21018 GMC Sierra. I couldn t find a shop that had time to look at it except ones looked really unkempt and dirty. Also with a lack of updated equipment. I made a call to AAMCo and spoke to Gabriel. He said bring it in 1st thing in the morning. I received a call before noon and they had found the issue in the transfer module. I gave the go ahead to fix and they took care of it by the next day. I dealt with Gabriel and Jacob. They both walked me through the process, the diagnostic procedure and the cost to fix. Both were great to work with and had an attitude of happy to help someone. Great job fixing the issue and a better job of service to the customer. Thxs guys!!

Prices are way to high here. They did a diagnosis on my car but quoted me over $2000 MORE than what another shop quoted me.UPDATE: We just got our car back. AAMCO told us the transmission and transfer case needed fixed and the quoted us 8,500 and offered us a finance plan. General Transmission fixed my car with labor and transmission for 3,800 and the transfer case was just fine! Not even needed. I have no trust in AAMCO after they tried to charge us 4,700 more than what General Transmission charged us. They had also charged us 150.00 just to check our car only to MISDIAGNOSE what the issue was.

I would like to start off by saying my experience with AAMCO was EXCELLENT!! The prices of the work done was fair and the services provided exceeded all my expectations by along shot. From the moment we dropped our car off everyone was extremely friendly and the lines of communication were awesome. Everything we needed done was communicated not only verbally but also with pictures to show everything we needed done was legit. Gabriel was incredibly attentive, personable and very knowledgeable. Many times experiences with car repair shops are awful and you feel like you got ripped off or you wonder if the service they provided was done correctly but with AAMCO, Gabriel and the rest of the employees at the shop my experience couldn t have gone better. Without question I would recommend and will recommend AAMCO to anyone in my life I hear needs service done on their vehicle. Thank you very much for the service as well as the friendly atmosphere that comes with the shop.

Awesome customer service!Clean waiting room!Easy to get to, right off the highway.Gated for security,Ample parking, maybe not like an RVCustomer service great! even though they couldn't work on my car because it's a little rare. So going in getting it towed, walked in the main office it was clean and there were seats for waiting, i waited maybe 2minutes before approached by Gabriel he was very professional and nice, he asked what needed to be done i explained the situation, he had me fill out a customer form, and then he did the rest. I went on my way i got call back maybe 40minutes later with a nice update. My problem was i was in a different state and had no way to get to the car and wait an hour for the tow truck, so i called and asked what time they closed and if there was parking outside for after hour pick-up, and the gentleman on the phone was super kind and went out of the way and took my car to the next place it needed to be towed too, saved me heart ache of finding rides and made my day off a little nicer. So all the thumbs up for customer service, very willing and helpful. They all seemed pretty knowledgeable due to the conversation with lady before me in line. So would i recommend totally! Can I comment on the quality of work, no because i didn't have any work done.Thank you for a nice experience and kind people!

This AAMCO is fantastic. Jacob and Gabriel are amazing. They are very understanding, helpful and most importantly, fair. This AAMCO helped me years ago with my brakes and did a great job. So naturally I came back when my car was overheating. These guys gave me pointers and tips as well as fixed my car. Thanks guys!

Gabe at Aamco is the real MVP. After having issues at another shop I took my vehicle down to Gabriel. He was straight up with me and provided the service I couldn't do on my own. No games, honest pricing, and superior customer service is why I am a new loyal customer.I do most routine services myself so I'm always concerned going into a new shop but it's good to know Aamco has excellent people like Gabe running the show. Thanks so much for making this as easy and stress free as possible.

They charged me $100 to look at my truck... and they must not of looked at it all because the only problem was that the transmission was about 2 quarts overfilled..They still tried to get me to get a new transmission and charged me for work They didn't do.

I had my transmission repaired here recently. After a couple of weeks, I noticed there was a small leak. When I took it back to get it corrected, they knocked it right out. Left it with them in the morning and had it back within a couple of hours.I was prepared to get the runaround and hear that this issue wasn t covered by the warranty blah blah blah. Gabriel and his crew were very professional, friendly, and informative. They helped me through the warranty process with SilverRock. SilverRock was slow, throughout the process and in my opinion unprofessional.They shipped a remanufactured transmission which was damaged upon arrival at Aamco. Gabriel notified them about the damage and sent them photos. SilverRock told them to install it anyway. It failed.I took it back to Aamco and Gabriel and his team again notified them. Another replacement was shipped and was installed. In all I was without my vehicle for nearly six weeks.I highly recommend Aamco Reno and would discourage anyone to never do business with SilverRockDavidService: Transmission

First time here and had a great experience. Was help by a kind man name Gabriell and he assisted in the needs I ask for. Just went in for Transmission fluid and the first thing that took be aback was that he introduce himself and shook my hand before I got to even say what was needed. I like a place that is professional but also makes you feel like you can be yourself. After the waited time he promise me, took me in and had a nice conversation and had my car back. My dad brought his Chevy Malibu here because he was having issues with it and is a carshield policy holder. To say this place is awesome would be an understatement. Gabriel helped my dad, he was so patient, kind and just had all around excellent customer service. Above and beyond is how this shop treated my dad. Carshield on the other hand well I won t say anything about it other than they are horrid. My dads car was there more than 48 days because of carshield and these guys at AAMCO were so incredibly understanding, and willing to help mg dad with it all.I cannot say how grateful we are for this experience and that we will forever be coming to this location for our vehicle needs! I would recommend this shop to anyone. Gabriel's customer service is top notch! This is the second vehicle I have taken there and there service is just outstanding. Even though I did not repair my vehicle this time due to national back order on the part. I would return anytime. And thank you to Gabriel for your blessing with the diagnostic cost!
