Several years ago we skipped this place because the full timers were a bit sketch. Glad we gave it a second chance. The riff raff are gone and it's a clean and tidy park run by a welcoming older gentleman. Please pay him the respect of your business. Sites are flat and nice landscaping separates each pad. Took a star off for overnight road noise - many truckers use their Jake brakes, but a pair of quality ear plugs will allow a good night's sleep.

We planed part of our trip to stay at #sunrisevalleyrvpark as they advertise they are ATV friendly. We got there late and were able to pick a spot and pay in the morning. We planned to stay 2 days there but there was so much to do that we had to stay another full day!Wendy has a book they sell in the office that shows where rockhounds could go. It is very detailed. We followed a couple that leads us to some pretty old buildings. It's like stepping back in time seeing all these mining buildings still up mostly. This RV park is well taken care of and all the large collection of rocks will make any novice rockhound drool. There are several large fossilized tree trunks as well as all kinds of local stones you can find. Please make your way over and enjoy a night! They even supply the firewood at the group fire pit.

No soap or way to dry your hands in the restrooms. 55 bucks a night is outrageous. People were nice and the place was clean

This was an okay place for one night. Our site was long and wide, level, with full hookups. The wifi was nonexistent. Beautiful views. There is absolutely nothing in Mina, we had to drop our trailer and backtrack 33 miles to Hawthorn for fuel for the next day. It s also close to the 95 and there was loud truck traffic all night long.

This is a small, seasonal RV park in Mina, Nevada off US 95. Mina is popular with off-roaders and people who enjoy exploring the old mining camps on the area. Mina is a small town in the Nv desert. This RV park is all dirt. There is a laundry room, Wi-Fi, and showers (though I have not used their showers). The staff are super friendly and accommodating. This is not a big fancy park, it's better- in my opinion. No need to hail a taxi to get to the office or laundry room.SITES:The spaces are large and it's pretty easy to level the RV. Most sites have trees and a picnic table. Sites offer 30/50 amp power, water, and sewer hook-up.The tables are a little weathered, so watch for splinters. There is also a little sheltered picnic area that easily accommodated our group of 12 for a potluck supper.CAMPFIRES:There are no individual fire rings at the sites. However, there is an an area with a fire-pit. The fire area is large enough to hang out as a group, which is great for meeting other people.PETS:Dogs are welcome, as long as you walk them in the designated areas and pick up after them. Of course, they ask that dogs are on a leash and not disruptive (excessive barking) or aggressive/dangerous to other people or pets.OFF-ROADING:Lastly, Mina is a small but friendly town. Many people visit Mina for the off-roading available. They say there are hundreds of miles of roads to ride. ATVs are welcome and there are lots of roads and sites to explore. Some are weary travelers that just stop for a night. Some come for the peaceful tranquility in Mina. Others come to explore. I come for the adventure.

The shop could offer a bit more stuff for sale but overall this place is a nice place to stay. They keep up on maintenance and the bathrooms/showers are always spotless and never smelled bad. It's a great place to be based from for off-road riding. You can ride non plated vehicles right from camp.

What a delightful oasis! We had a wonderful shady, roomy pull-thru site with full hookup for $42. It is beautifully fixed up and maintained. I wish we could have stayed longer!

What a fantastic place. Beautiful landscaping, very quiet, laundry facility, separate private covered area for picnicking which is light up

We enjoyed our stay here. This is a clean, basic, rustic campground with gravel sites and shade trees. Most sites have some privacy from trees, bushes, or fences. It is popular with 4 wheelers, but all were respectful and we had a quiet 2 night stay. We had a generously sized shady pull-through site with full hookups in the back row closest to the road. There was some road noise when we were sitting outside, but not bad, and we didnt hear it in the coach. All utilities worked as expected. Pleasant staff. No problems getting level. T-Mobil signal was decent. We didnt use the WiFi. We would stay here again.

Really cute RV park. We arrived late at night and had no issues. The owner was very kind and my kids loved all the unique rocks and lizard friends. Clean bathrooms and hot water showers.

Nice long pull throughs with full hook-ups. Wifi, bathrooms and I believe laundry. Trash cans near exit but would have been nice to have more to choice from. Office help was very pleasant and made you feel welcome.

Love this place. Here for 2 days to ride motorcycles around the mountains, exploring trails, looking for old mines and wild donkeys. The RV sites are HUGE! Plenty of room to unload the toys. Beautiful trees and landscaping all around. Beautiful mountain views and sunset in the evening. Wendy the camp host was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom on site is spacious and clean. There is also a laundry, a communal gazebo and a large pet area. All the things you need are here. Especially if you love outdoor adventures, this is THE place!

Price was fine but the amount of confederate flags flying along side US flag made me want to vomit. Whole town like that. Only stay if nowhere else available. Great you had POW and MIA flags but was commenting on what people who stay there are flying. We stayed one night. First thing we saw was confederate flag flying next to American flag on rig staying at your place. Not just one.

Great place. Staff was friendly. We got in late and it was pouring rain but Wendy made sure we got to our assigned campsites. Truly a great place to base if you are ATV/UTV riding. We put around 300 miles on in 3 days and didn't scratch the surface of trails to ride. As a bonus we met some great great people at the RV park. Now we have 3 new friends to ride with. As a side note. Please stop by the Mina Club for some refreshments and food. Truly a good old Nevada establishment and the service was great. And more friendly people. We had a super time in Mina and I would not hesitate to stay at Sunrise Valley RV Park again!

Easy peasy reservations. Good sam park. Called nite before and left message with name email and cell as to when and what type of site, pull through. Did not get response, but stopped as we only wanted 1 nite during the week. Had the pick of the place as no one else was camping! Good connection for electric plus water and sewage. Picnic table each site. Laundry available, bathhouse and easy access to the hills for atv's.

A pleasant surprise in a place like Mina. Good stop for desert lovers. Clean restrooms and showers--heck of lot better than many chain RV parks. Not for those who want the trappings of luxury parks. But definitely for desert rats. An honest place. Nice people running it.

Wish I could leave a negative star rating. Just tried to make a month to month reservation for myself. And the first couple days would have my family as well. Man on phone stated they didn't have facilities for kids so kids weren't allowed. Fine. I offered to put them up in a hotel in Hawthorne but that wasn't sufficient. Sorry, we just don't accept kids then hung up. Most unprofessional, rude, and frankly discourteous exchange I've had in a long time. I can't urge any prospective renters enough to do what you can and stay IN Hawthorne. Don't bother with this joint. And if the person I just spoke with happens to read this, you have my number.

Nice place to stay & play. There are plenty of nature trees, full hook-ups, a laundry room with 2 washers & dryers. Lots of places to ride ATVs and this is a ATV friendly RV park. The park is fairly small, but a great gathering place for smaller groups. There are 2 rent sites according to the map. Please note: if you don't like ATVs or the people that ride them, DO NOT stay at this place. A rather grumpy couple complained about the ATVs & dust (duh-its the middle of the desert). They left after just one night. The website states ATVs welcome, the sign at the entrance says "ATV friendly".This is our 2nd stay and both trips have been great. We have met several great people who were staying here at the same time. It's not a fancy RV park, but it sure beats dry camping and there is a great burger joint just up the road. The shakes are REALLY good (I had strawberry).

Been coming out here for years. One of the very few rv parks you can ride straight out onto the trails. Other rv parks have to trailer atv, utv out. You can hop in and explore 100s of miles of great trails directly from camp. Full hook ups, great prices, easy to find. Owner is real friendly.

Had to make a last minute reservation while on the road . We pull up after hours having already registered on the phone beforehand. Easy in and out after a good night sleep. Thank you Sunrise Valley RV Park!

We drove by this place for years and finally stopped about 12 yrs ago. We love this place. Spaces are large and if you off-road this is your spot. The whole town is behind off-roading. The water is as good as it gets. Wifi and cable, great views. The laundry & showers are a must after a day out in the desert. It is right by the hiway but is very quite. Thanks for the years of fun at this placeRon and Pam Cooper

Very quaint, but well kept small park off the main highway. Just did an overnight stop over, but will stay there again. Interesting area, large spaces and FHUs.

Nice stop. Has water/sewer hook up, as well as electric. There are also showers and bathrooms. The price is reasonable and the view is amazing. Lots of OHV trails within a few minutes based at the foot of the mountains.

Sites are all full hook ups with clean bathrooms and laundry room. Trash is dumped everyday. The owner Chuck is a very nice person. A great place to go quad riding from.

Half way between Vegas and Minden, Nevada, we stayed here for a night...cool place to stay...lots of friendly off-road folks. I talked to a number of them...they just love to get out and drive in the desert exploring...finding old ghost towns...dusty trails...Nice funky place to stay for a day or two....LOTS of off road folks...very friendly and happy to out there exploring the back roads.

This is the right stop for the weary traveler or one who enjoys exploring the desert. It has two clean bathrooms with showers, full hookups, but not much else. Way better than overnighting at Walmart and inexpensive.
