I have went there a few times with no issues and happy with services. However this last time I was not happy with services at all they forgot to put half my engine back in my vehicle, I drove my vehicle in there but had to have it towed out of there.

I really liked this place and was really happy with their services and interactions THE FIRST TIME I went. It was a completely different staff and the guy was amazing the FIRST time around so I was thinking I d make this my new location because the guy was so awesome and helpful, I can t remember his name but he was a white guy with dark blondish hair and glasses and he was extremely informative and absolutely fantastic! HOWEVER, I made a visit to this place again yesterday and my experience was HORRIBLE. Everyone was great except for the manager on duty and he also was the one who I had to work with. He was extremely hostile, aggressive and condescending, he literally acted like he was my father and I was being scolded which was the complete opposite from the amazing and civil conversation I had with his colleague before him the first time I went. This man treated a very small problem like a huge problem and he constantly kept telling me you re wrong for this and wrong for that. When I had not said anything, he was telling me how wrong I was for how I upkeep my car which I didn t need especially from someone like him. He kept throwing together word salad to basically call me stupid but without actually calling me stupid and literally called ME a liability when I had not said a SINGLE WORD outside of asking what I should do when he told me what was wrong with my car, then charged me an arm and a leg for services that I did NOT ask for. IF . And that s a strong IF, if I go back to this place again, which is pretty unlikely; I will make sure it s the guy that I met the first time around as he was fantastic. However, if I ever see that other dude (I can t tell the ethnicity but he has a heavy accent and is bald in the middle of the top of his head and he has a white complexion) He is extremely hostile,aggressive and very condescending and he will yell at you if you show any small signs of innocent ignorance towards your car whatsoever. He will also make the whole environment around you feel extremely hostile and he will make you extremely uncomfortable. If I ever go back i hope that it s the guy I met the first time around because if it s not, I will straight up walk out because I d rather pay triple what I pay there then deal with that guy again.

Don the Owner is absolutely THE BEST. Don takes me home AND picks me up from home when my car was ready. So nice and a blessing to Las Vegas. Once again, thanks Don. You are THE BEST. -Bad communication. -Over priced parts. -Rude customer service. This is the first auto shop that started working on my vehicle without my consent then expect me to pay without acknowledging me whats wrong with my vehicle first. They have hidden fees that they don t discuss with you, you only find out about it when you get your receipt. Even though they got the job done, I WILL NOT recommend this place. Modern day auto shop scam! *Beware* Check out negative reviews 1st they are true.

The battery had died in my car and walked over to v&v needing a jump start . I was so impressed by them they were extremely helpful, Quick and the mechanic that helped me was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond without hesitation. Thank you v&v. You have my business for sure !

I've been taking my vehicles to V&V for years. I like the fact that I deal with the owners directly & if something would go wrong, I do not have to deal with someone 1,500 miles away who knows me only as a statistic on some bottom line. V&V's is efficient, effective & professional. They honor appointments & are honest as the day is long; 2 very important considerations for me. I highly recommend V&V. UPDATE: "I've been back to V & V for another oil change and a couple of minor issues. I absolutely stand by my review!!" I moved here in July from Missouri. It's so hard to find a trustworthy and honest mechanic, especially moving to a different state. I'm lucky to have found V & V as quickly as I did. I've haven my 04 Chevy Silverado there twice now, first time for an oil change and smog test. I felt very comfortable with them right away. Personable yet professional. I recently had them do a minor repair on my truck. Very honest and thorough. No Doubt they will be getting all my business going forward. Thanks!Service: General repairs & maintenance

they take amazing care of my Family's cars and trucks gas and electric! & have for over a decade. The time they put in to do things right really matters and it's worth making the appointment if you can wait a few days. They stay busy!!

Wish I could leave a half star but 1 is as low as it goes. Believe me this place is grossly overrated. I tried calling first but got hung up on twice so since I only live a few blocks away I just decided to drive my pickup up there to have the check engine light investigated. Dan, or Don, was very polite and acted like he wanted to take it in. Problem started when we went into the office. Didn't get the office managers name, if that's his title, but he declined to take it in. His excuse was not enough room whatever the heck that meant. His whole attitude was rather rude and crude. So I figure if they don't want my money I'll go to Pep Boys which is where it sits. Oh did I mention I made it clear I was in no hurry for it to be fixed. All I can say is the wrong person is managing this place.

Work done on my Toyota FJ best I think it has ever run. Staff keeps me informed of the progress done and parts needed. Love the end result of my FJ is ready for the next off road adventure.

Honest and fair. What more can you ask for? This is the only place we take our cars and that s why.I took my wife s SUV in because her heater wasn t producing consistently warm air. They very easily could have come up with something that needed to be repaired. Instead they called and told me that they topped off my coolant and that it fixed the issue. And then when I went to pick up the car, they had lowered the price on a blinker replacement because the bulb turned out to be cheaper than they had originally quoted me.My friend recommended them to me for this reason. And I will recommend to any friends looking for a mechanic.

Excellent job. Greg was very friendly and professional. Very clean shop all around. Needed several fixes on my 1989 S10 pickup. They got them all done in quick-time. Have used them before with the same excellent results. Recommend them very highly.

I have been going to V&V for about three years and am so happy that I discovered them. I have recommended them to all of my friends. I never worry anymore about whether or not I am being ripped off. Their prices are reasonable, they always fix the problems and they never suggest unnecessary work. I used to go to my Toyota dealer for all my service - but since I found V&V I have never been back to Toyota!

I am so thankful to finally find an auto shop that is honest, extremely helpful and trustworthy. As I was leaving the shop I took notice of a billboard across the street that reads; Reputation is earned and not given. It struck me that this sign though not meant for V and V said exactly how I feel about this shop. They have definitely earned a reputation of excellence and integrity and they will always have my business. I will recommend them to all I know!Service: Engine repair

I just dropped my vehicle off so I need to give them time to properly diagnose the problem. However I feel safe to say that they have my complete trust. That is why I have taken all my vehicles to V&V since 1999. You won't find a better group of experienced mechanics!

I have taken my vehicles to V&V for many years, my parents first sent me there long ago, and Don is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, I wouldn't take my car or truck anywhere else. They are great, and I would recommend them to anyone I know, and even to those of you out there I don't know.

I m truly thankful for this busy and how kind they were to look at are car that broken down on the freeway as we were traveling from Utah to California. Though the engine is gone, I appreciated the fact they took us right in to look at what was going on, they got back to us the same day. They were so understanding that we are from another state and allowing us time to get it back Utah. Thank you again, I for sure will you use you if ever the need arises again.Service: Engine repair

Great People ! Great work ! I've been a customer of V&V for about 7 yrs. they always fix my car an get it back to me Asap. if it takes long than estimated, I can tell you, it's because the part has been delayed on the other end. if they got it, they fix it and you're out the door and back on the road. Have used V & V on three separate occasions. I found them to be knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy and very reasonably priced. They always treat you like a friend or valuable customer. Over the years I have become a regular to this place. Great Customer Service...Reasonable Prices and there work has been Spot On. I am Very Pleased to have them as my Neighborhood Mechanic Shop. I Highly Recommend them. They are Honest and Respectable and they are just what the Doctor has ordered.

When I am occupied with other things in life and one of my vehicles needs repair, I go to V&V Automotive for my mechanical needs.Don and Donna are professional and do their best to repair my vehicles as the time arises. I have been doing business with them since 1995. I have no complaints and have always recommended them to anyone in need of the services they offer .

I brought my '06 Silverado for repair of parking brake and the job was done after an hour for $139 for parts and labor. A couple of other shops quoted me $450 for a 2-hour job to replace the whole parking brake assembly. That didn't sound right. V&V told me only the foot pedal and the cable needed to be replaced. That no nonsense assessment felt right and I'm happy with the result. Will go back to V&V for all my truck needs.

I went to get a diagnostic for an EPS. I ALSO wanted the diagnostic to find anything else that potential was wrong with the car. The mechanic told me he could pull codes but also said nothing would come up if there's no lights on the dash. I was confused as how he would be able to pull codes with any lights. I started to question the process. The mechanic was frustrated with my questions. He wasn't answering them. I tried to ask in another way. He Told me that if I don't want to do it I COULD GO. Another senior man in the office co-signed him and blamed me for not understanding. I feel like If I'm asking questions that means I'm trying to understand. I went to another mechanic who reassured me and answered all my questions. DONT GO ANYWHERE WHERE THEY GUIDE YOU TO THE COMPETITION!!

Horrible... charged 172 for no actual labor performed. A smoke test and putting a gasoline tank back on which they didn't complete putting back on because I got a call from Don Velasquez about 20 mins after picking up my car to come back because they didn't put my car back together completely.. This is my gas tank people I could have blown up. Talking about the fueling hose wasn't connected and the tank wasn't strapped back up. Wow, I still have to go somewhere to get my fuel pump replacement. Mother of four and now I'm out 200 that we scrapped up to begin with. That's truly ridiculous. I should not have had to pay full price on the labor when I had to come back for 15 mins to get it finished after I've been given a receipt/ key as well as paid for something that wasn't fully done.. truly disappointing. At least the older mechanic was nice..

Dropped the car off at 8:15 today, as per the appointment I made days before. Was told by the lady at the front desk that the car would be hooked up to the "diag. Computer" (check engine light), and that the proceedure would take two hours. Have no ride, so wandered the area for two hours, then returned. Car had not been touched. The mechanic mumbled that he thought no rush. Huh? I waited two days for the appointment, and the car just sits there? What is the point of that? No apologies for any of this misunderstanding. They must be doing very well. Good for them!Addendum: The car was repaired, and the person took the time to explain not only what went wrong, but how and why. :)

We liked Don the owner and he seems to be a fair man. However, after using V&V for several years while owning several vehicles, plus recommending several friends and family who did also use V&V, I have to discontinue using them. Several times the mechanic (greg or gary, a small young rude man) has removed parts on jobs without asking us, and the parts were not returned to us, either. They were (according to the mechanic) 'aftermarket' HID headlights on our Jaguar VandenPlas and an alarm system from our VW Beetle 5pd Turbo and who knows what else since those were not asked to be removed. Even more illegal is V&V's surprise billing, "Your car is ready it 'l be $$$$." that doesn't include parts since we always asked to purchase our own parts. Twice they ran the bill up to over $2000 without getting verification from us. We do understand that this is illegal; but, when we needed our cars back and feared if we gave them any rebuttal paying the bill the mechanic would hold onto the car. How can we trust all this. We had asked Don several times not to have that one mechanic work on our vehicles. We were outraged the mechanic condescendingly told us anytime we come in to the shop you should be prepared to drop at least $1000. We were good customers with 4 nice older vehicles, this is how they treat their GOOD CUSTOMERS, beware!They (V&V) have bitten the hands that fed them too many times!I dare you to go see if this happens to you also.

Always excellent service. Searched for an honest reliable auto mechanic after my last one went out of business. So glad I found this location. Very happy with the service and so glad I found auto mechanic's I can trust again.

I have been taking my vehicle to V&V for more than 10 years and each visit always resulted with problem being repaired. It matters a great deal to an elderly person that one can trust in V&V Automotive.
