Sam and his technicians at Parallax Automotive are very knowledgeable, honest, and have done great work on my vehicles. I highly recommend them! So far I ve had them do valve cover gasket on my Honda, replace the engine in my 4 runner, and do the timing chain on my Chrysler. I will surely come back for anything else my vehicles need.

Highly recommend Parallax! I ve been going to multiple auto shops over the years and now I have found one I want to continue going to. The owner, Sam and his staff are amazing. I was referred to this mechanic shop when my Audi TT was unable to pass the SMOG test by a friend. After going to Parallax Automotive I was greeted by the owner/operator with a professional and welcoming greeting. Once the diagnostic was completed I was immediately informed of the findings and discussed the options. The work was done quickly and thoroughly. There wasn't any moment when I wasn't involved in what was to be done at any time. I highly recommend to anyone if their vehicle is in need of a small or large job. It s always hard to find a mechanic that doesn t seem like they re taking advantage of you. I was pleased with the service Sam and his crew did on my truck. The cost came in under than what I expected and the work was performed in a timely manner. I will definitely be taking all my vehicles to Parallax Automotive moving forward.

My wife and I were traveling home on the second leg of our 2600 mile trip when our car experienced catastrophic engine failure around 75 miles NW of Vegas. We were rescued from the desert and taken to Parallax Automotive, where our experience began with this business. After the diagnostics, it was determined our car needed another engine. I was quoted the cost of two different engines that we readily available if I decided to go that route. After considering my options...I chose to replace the engine. There were several "snags" during the process stemming from the engine supplier. I was informed of every issue that arose and given the solution that Parallax was executing. Okay, an already long story shorter, Sam and the crew there installed a total of THREE engines until they got the job completed. Extra work on the engine was needed to ensure our car's repair met our expectations. This included new spark plugs, fuel filter, catalytic converter on the rear bank, ignition coils and a timing set to sort out some issues. I am confident that no aspect of engine replacement was overlooked. It took quite a bit longer than expected, but we could not be happier with the results. For a relatively small cost, we now have a rejuvenated vehicle that will continue to serve us well into the future. The delays were not in Parallax's control and were very taxing for all. Sam was upfront with every aspect of the process and easy to communicate with.After taking our car to them and deciding to get it repaired, my wife and I returned home. Sam kept us informed and kept assuring me he would fix our car.Believe me, he was true to his word! I picked the car up and drove it 1000 miles home. It drove like a new car and I can't say enough about the honesty, fairness and integrity of Sam Dains and Parallax Automotive! True friend and a mechanic you can trust your automotive issues with! As we turning into our street, the power steering failed, heard slight grinding noise and the red engine warning light illuminated. Since we were approximately 100 feet from our garage, we continued into our garage. Called the warranty company and Sam/Parallax Automotive was an approved shop. Had car towed and Sam diagnosed and completed the steering problem (gasket on main fan belt pulley/crankshaft had deteriorated) _ car is a 22 year old small Chevy SUV. Since he already had the car, I requested he look at the brakes and shocks - the brakes had just started making a little noise occasionally and I knew the shocks were shot too. He came back and confirmed the my suspicions but surprised me when he said that if it was his car- he would hold off on the rear brakes as they did not need replacement yet! He also serviced the A/C and when we drove away - felt like a new car! I most highly recommend Sam and Parallax - professional, efficient, polite and honest!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Air conditioning

Omg this place is terrific! Sam and his team are great! I couldn't get in with the kia dealership, and Sam was able to get me an appointment right away. Sam will NEVER over price you just because you are a woman or not knowing about cars. His service is AMAZING! He was able to get my car done right away within 3 -4 hrs. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. Thank you again Sam my car works perfectly. I'm Ashley with the blue kia ;) You have a forever client!

So, I brought my truck to Sam and I won't bring any of my vehicles to anyone but him from now on. I can't stress enough how his work ethics and integrity are above any expectations I have been accustomed to with any shop. If you need your car repaired bring it to Sam at Parrallax!! BTW my issue was with stabilitrack on a 2014 GMC 1500. He can find the issue and correct it.

After wasting $235 at Ford trying to figure out why we were getting an overtemperature alert on our 2017 Ford F150, I was referred to Sam. Sam knew he needed to look closer, and he quickly figured out that we did not need to tear down our engine as we were previously told at Ford. Sam quickly replaced our water pump and fixed our problem for a few bucks less than the reasonable amount he quoted me. Straight forward, does what he says he will, and treats you right. I highly recommend!

I do almost all of the work on my own vehicle, from maintenance to modifications. Sam and the folks over at Parallax are the ONLY other people I will let touch my car. Knowledgeable, affordable, and trustworthy. No one here is going to rip you off or suggest unnecessary work.They are also very efficient and get work done in a timely manner. Highly recommend heading to Parallax if you're having issues with your car or even if you're interested in some routine maintenance.Remember folks, regular maintenance is always cheaper than waiting until something fails!Service: Auto maintenance

Brought my dodge here for a TCM reset/adapt, because other shops said they do not do it or to take it to the dealership. Which in my opinion, was telling me they didn't want to do the job. Very happy with the results. This Simple service kept my car working like it should. Thanks a lot!

Sam and his staff is the best they really took care of our car needs. Was having a lot of issues with our VW Passat and Parralux got it done. Best shop in town hands down! The new owner Sam is the most honest and genuine mechanic in town. He'll tell you what your car needs and ONLY what your car needs. He actually quit jobs at a few other mechanic shops in town because his bosses would expect him to sell the customers stuff they did NOT need, which is typical in Las Vegas. Sam finally purchased this shop and runs it the way a shop is supposed to be ran. Save your money and go see Sam for all your auto mechanic needs today!

My 2002 Honda CR-V had been having noisy car issues for a time. Then, Sat night I couldn t get my car out of park at a drive in so I needed to find out what was really going on. I called one mechanic who was booked and recommended Sam at Parallax Automotive. I liked Sam s demeanor on the phone so I drove right over. His shop was about 30 min away just off Rancho, north of the NLV airport . I talked with Sam briefly and told him what s been happening and wanted to bring it inside to get a better look. I was instantly impressed with bright, clean, organized shop with more than 6 bays. Sam estimated the. work to take maybe two hours he kept me abreast of the progress. I was making calls for work, so I was busy. They had trouble getting on final belt and ended up needing a whole new part to make the belt work. They didn t charge me because the missed diagnosed it s need. The end product is a much quieter, smoother running car and confidence that I will be cared for as we tackle the next on the list. I ve been through numerous repair shopsmechanics and that means a lot me. I ve already recommended Parallax to a friend in need. Thanks to Sam and his entire crew.Service: Engine repair

Found Parallax nearest automotive shop close to home . What a joke this place is. My elderly mom needed her Actuator replaced and Sam wanted to charge her over 1500. dollars. Mom and I not knowing much about pricing in the automotive industry my mom was almost willing to pay that. Then they continued to lie to her and find more things wrong with her car brakes etc. my mom kept saying NO I can t afford more but they were persistent and said it was unsafe so she finally said ok. They did nothing Bully her!! I ended up calling and Spoke to a friend and he recommended a second opinion. Thank goodness we went elsewhere Parallax was overcharging hundreds of dollars and nothing else wrong with her car. Please research and always get a second opinion!! Sam will run with lies and take all he can get out of you bank account. Do yourselves a favor Never take your car here. I give Parallax 0 STARS!! Sam your a SNAKE and your unprofessional staff are all LIARS!!!!!!Service: Engine repair

I'm so glad I found this shop, they work on Diesel trucks and non Diesel trucks, a 1 stop shop. Sam the owner has always been professional and honest with all the work they've done to my trucks. Where do I begin .I was on vacation in Las Vegas and I had car trouble and a neighbor of the people we were staying with Recomended a shop called reliance auto so we brought the car there asking for Vinny we were told he wasn t in right now and this guy Sam said he could take care of us. What a mistake leaving our car there. The car was there for 6 days all we kept hearing was it was hard to get the part that was needed. We found out Vinny was no longer the owner of the shop and made us concerned but had high hopes it would work out ok.finally were able to pick the car up and got 30 miles out of town a broke down. What a disaster this vacation was. The funny thing about this is on the invoice it stated give us a good review on Google and you will get $20.00 off your next Repair. Here you go Sam.. Stay away from this shop they can t even fix a sandwich.
