My best experience ever with an auto repair shop! Needed a water pump for my Ford Fusion. It's a big job! A well-known chain quoted me $2,100. Howies did the replacement for $750. I also needed my drivers side rear view mirror replaced. The dealer wanted $1000 just for the part. Denise found me a like new after-market one for $160. I drove home with a big smile across my face. These people get all my business from now on. Really good people!

Came in for a routine job, "experienced" mechanic tightened clamp too tight and broke my heating core connector. A $1000 mistake and they acted like it wasn't their fault and wouldn't give me any discount to fix it. Don't come here, most reviews are deceiving and fake.

Best auto shop I've ever come across anywhere. Honest and straightforward.I've come here twice with some odd startup rattlings. They looked at the car for a couple of hours but couldn't find a problem. No charge.They've always given me a full explanation of my car's issues and the options that I have. Want to buy your own refurbished AC compressor? Sure, we'll install it. .Good people working there, too. I hate bringing my car to the shop, but if I have to, Howie's is the place.Service: Engine repair

These guys come through every time!! I've come in, a few times, short notice, they manage to get my car. Richard, the owner, has a heart of gold. Everyone tht works there is friendly, and they do a great job. I found one of the few honest mechanics around!2018 and I still stand by my review! You take your car in, they'll do a great job fixing your car, and you'll NEVER leave there feeling scammed or taken advantage of! Denise & Richie are awesome!

The GREATEST auto repair center in Nevada. This was only the second time I took my car to them and they hit the ball out of the park. Both, in quality of work and reasonable price. As long as they are operating I will not take my car anywhere else!!!! Cuddos to Richie and his fabulous and caring staff. Thanks a lot from the bottom of my heart.

I had the greatest experience here. I brought my dying truck to the nearest shop and handed over the keys. In less than 5 minutes the problem was diagnosed and the parts were already on the way. They were quick and through. When I went to get my truck I found the mechanic had checked all my fluids, fixed my dip stick tube that always pulls out and even tightened up my loose belts on top of the job they fixed on my distributor. Richie was kind and funny and he know his stuff! I will be a life time customer here. I happy to say I found a place I can trust.

Best of Las Vegas...Great mechanics and front desk.. Fair prices... Last time I tipped them $50, on $1400 bill to do many things to 2006 Subaru Legacy, for a delivered meal of their choice. Close to downtown Las Vegas...

Great shop to take your car too. They took care of my fuel pump no problem. The people that work there are not just trying to make $ of of you. They want to fix your car. I recomend these guys..

Howie was fantastic!! We were stranded on our way home to Idaho, We had 5 kids and a broken car. He took our Suburban in right away, dropped us and the kids off to get something to eat while the car was being fixed. He came back and picked us up in a couple of hours. His price was awesome, his customer service was over the top and his little Frenchie was a great stress relief for the kids. Thanks Howie!! You are the best!

Before we had taken our car twice for 2 different reasons and my boyfriend thought they were honest, quick and dependable. But then we bring it back for an issue that we brought it for initially and he charged us for something he didn t fix correctly putting the blame on us basically. He adds another 400 dollars to fix an issue he already fixed .So what it s an old car you can either fix it or you can t. No jimmy rigging my car. This is so annoying and we trusted them! I wouldn t take your car there!!!!!!! Be aware!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

These guys are great!!! I am on a road trip and my car started acting up. I found the closest (best reviewed) mechanic around and headed there. They were swamped so they got on the phone a asked other mechanics they trusted in the area if anyone could take a look. The nice gentleman, Richie, sent me down the road to another nice gentleman at Big A Breaks named Steve. They took my car in and I am on the road again just one hour later!!!!Thank you all!!!!

If I had to describe Howie's in one word it would be trustworthy. Howie's has been taking care of my cars for the past 8 years and I can't recommend a more honest mechanic in town. They are always moderately priced and even work on Saturdays. This is a family owned and operated business that knows that their reputation means everything to their success and that is why they are so successful.

They have been around for 30 years and I see why...After off-roading, back country camping for a month, and driving from Michigan to Nevada my Jeep Renegade started having some starting issues. It wouldn t start anytime we filled up the gas tank, and after a few days of the issue it finally died for the first time during our journey through the mountains. After doing extensive research of shops in Vegas and reading reviews Howie s was the only one that had trustworthy and reliable reviews.With little to no money and having a tough time finding a repair shop that we can trust not to rip us off or even get the Jeep into, Howie s came through for us.We were living out of the Jeep so it was like giving someone your house keys and hoping things were well taken care of. With Howie s they made sure it worked out. THANK YOU HOWIES AND IF WE ARE EVER NEAR BY AGAIN WITH CAR ISSUES, WE ARE COMING TO YOU! (With a beer and a big smile :))If you re in Vegas with car troubles -10/10 recommend this place!

EXCELLENT EVERY TIME! Expert Mechanics that truly know their trade. ALWAYS FAST, HONEST AND FRIENDLY! Denise in the front office is very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Howie's Auto Service has been able to correctly diagnose and then fix the problems with our car. The first time we had taken the car to four other places first. No one could figure out why it would not pass the smog. Howie's found the right cause and fixed it for a very fair price. This time Howie's saved us over $600.00. They found the right problem and fixed it for $95.00!It is hard to find these days!

We had a problem with a loose numberplate on a rental car. No problem - we fix it right away. They took it off, straigthened it out (the 'hammer'-way) and put it back in place. They did it free of charge.... What more to do than recommend this place and I know now where to go, if ever in need of a mechanic in Vegas again...

These people are fantastic. Their patience and helpfulness in everything I've been concerned about has been downright admirable. I'll be coming here from now on with any of my car's issues. Would highly recommend this place.

Super friendly and awesome. Fast service. Do recommend.Edit: everything worked out fantastic. I was so stressed that my car broken down while on vacation and entering Las Vegas. So glad I found this place. They could not have been better. They even personally gave me a ride to my hotel while they fixed the car.

we have been bringing our work trucks here for years. always fair, always reasonable. family owned and very nice people. never once have i felt scammed or pressured to buy anything that wasn't needed. no pressure to buy tranny flush or fuel injector cleaner snake oil nonsense. these are great people that do great work.

They are great and genuinely care about their customers. While i was finishing up one of the mechanics went and atarted my car so I would get into a cool vehicle. These guys are rockstars! My mechanic went out of business and I didn't know who to turn to. I went to Howie's Automotive, and they were trustworthy, honest, and did not charge me a fortune. I would recommend everybody see Howie's Automotive for your auto needs

This is my go to company when anything goes wrong with my car. A few years ago, I ran out of oil and burned up my engine. Ever since Howie's replaced it, they have been my mechanics. Tomorrow they will be troubleshooting my car to see why my A/C pump keeps turning on and off rapidly. My car will be in expert hands who charge fair prices and are always friendly and helpful.

We were traveling through Vegas and needed a fix to our AC to get us through our trip. The staff at Howie's knew exactly what we needed without breaking the bank and got us back on the road in about 30 minutes. No other shop in town would even see us at 3:00 on a Friday. Thank you so much for helping us tourists!

My car was overheating and I thought it was the thermostat. i brought it to Howies because of good reviews. It was just before closing but within 30 seconds of looking under the hood he told me Id blown the upper radiator hose. It was too late to fix that day but they offered to drive me home so I left it overnight. First thing the next morning they called to confirm it was the radiator hose.and quoted a reasonable price and it was finished by noon. I have gotten the runaround MANY times in the last year for a diffrent issue, even the dealers.in town could not properly help me. So I feel I finally found a place I can go to that is not shady!
