Rigo has done 2 transmissions (Complete Rebuilds) for me. One was a 99 2WD Ranger & the other was a 07 4x4 Hummer H3 and they have been great. No leaks, issues, etc. Also great communication. My go to transmission guy

Ask for Rigo!! He is such a awesome & honest mechanic!!! Went above & beyond to make sure he did everything he could before assuming it s something bigger then it was which I appreciated so much!! He s honest because he wants to help you fix the problem for your sake not he s pocket!!!! Blessing appreciate all the help you have been to me and my friend who I m thankful referred me! #1 best mechanic in town period!!!!

Fresh rebuild. I installed it myself and it didn t work right. Even with the benefit of the doubt squarely in his corner, Rigo fixed my truck and didn t charge me an extra dime. Good work and good word. This is my new go to transmission guy!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Rigo and his crew are AWESOME! Not only did they get me in immediately. they also charged me less than previously quoted! Who does that???? These guys do! I will definitely use them again in the future if the need arises, and will certainly be referring all my friends and family there. (Five stars is not a high enough ratting, I give them ten). This place is awesome. Rigo is very fair and does EXCELLENT WORK. I highly recommend this shop. I could not begin to afford the repair at the car dealership and got quality work for 75% cheaper with Downtown transmission. I highly highly recommend this place. I have no regrets. He kept his word to me. He didnt over promise but delivered quality work.

I recently moved to Las Vegas from California and had been traveling back and forth. I had noticed that my car had been incapable of accelerating so I took it to the nearest jiffy lube to find out what the issue was. They stated that my transmission had been leaking fluid and that I would need to find a transmission shop nearest me to resolve. I read the reviews for Rigo s establishment and spoken to him on the phone with seemingly more reassurance that he was ready and capable of handling the situation. Over the phone he advised me that he had been having issues with Hondas like mine before and it might just be a minor issue. So I took my car on a Thursday afternoon and he advised me that he would take a look at the car and would be able to run full a diagnostic and give me a prognosis by Friday afternoon. To which I had no problem with. I left feeling relieved. Friday came and no call. Still no problem. So I waited until Tuesday to call Rigo. I called multiple times from my phone and from my boyfriend s phone. He called my boyfriend s phone back and once he realized it was me, he said that he would need to call me back because he was working with a customer. Still, no problem. In the matter of a minute he called my cell phone and once again realizes it was me and then tells me that he will call me from another number and then never calls back or even return my call the following day. I m not sure if he was too busy because he did have plenty of vehicles in the lot or was it a racial issue. Either way my car sat in his lot for 5 days not including the weekends with no update, no paper work, and no timeline for when the car would be looked at or even when the car would be done. I would have been completely understanding if I was given any ounce of information to what was going on. I was never upset just concerned because leaving my car with a business with no paperwork, no understanding of what timeline he needed, and no courtesy is completely unprofessional. I went to downtown transmission Wednesday the same week to get an idea of what was happening. To add I even tried to ask the employees very politely was there any work done to the car? Some of the employees were very rude and would not speak to me about my car because Rigo was not there. So I called AAA and towed my car to another transmission place. I definitely will not be returning.

Came in with my 13 Chevy Silverado because it wouldn t shift into 3rd gear, Rigo pretty much dropped everything to help me and diagnosed the problem immediately, quoted me a very fair and generous price and promised a 3 day turn around. No upsells, not pushy at all, just an all around honest guy. This business is beyond superior! I will only bring my vehicles to Rigo from now on.Service: Transmission

I would like to take the time to recommend this place to anyone that is in need of transmission work! Rigo is a great guy and took care of me when I was in an emergency situation driving back to San Diego. They did a stellar job!

I don't write to many reviews, but I thought one was well warranted in this case when I saved over $1,000 when I brought my car to Rigo at Downtown Transmission. After noticing noises in my 2006 Maxima's transmission, I thought it was time to take it in for a transmission diagnostic test. I first took the car to a nearby garage called Adams Auto Center who told me it would need a remanufactured transmission at a cost of $2,500.My second estimate was Downtown Transmission where Rigo told be it was just the transmission's valve body that would cost about half that amount. I didn't even bring the car in for my customary third estimate and was grateful to be saving $1,200. Rigo had the car done in a day and it has been running great ever since then. If you want to save time and money, I hardly recommend getting an estimate from Rigo if you have transmisson problems.

My transmission was acting up so I took my truck to Rigo. Dropped off on Thursday morning and picked up on Saturday. Super fast and great customer service. Thank you Rigo!

My dads been going to frank and rigo for years. My boyfriend's sisters clutch burned out and he had it fixed the next day. Would recomend this place. Very good prices and quality humans who care about cars.

I had a transmission custom built here last year that has been the best transmission I've had in years. I've had a lot of transmission work done here, I build custom trucks so I go through quite a few and the trucks have high horsepower and all the Transmissions they built as of yet have all been handled the high horsepower perfectly and shift very nice. I would highly recommend this transmission shop.
