Can t say enough about the team at Diesel Specialist. Bob, Chris and the kind women that answered the phone were great to work with. If you re traveling through the area like we were (NASCAR) or live near by and are in need of service I would highly recommend Diesel Specialists. Thanks for getting us back on the road.

Chris is a master at his work the lady who help getting my truck to the shop was very nice. I one time had my truck towed to the shop, tried to complete a water pump on my GMC I failed I placed all the parts that I unbolted in a box and Chris gave me props for attempting no judgment just fixed it and smiled no judgment my guess I was not the first guy to fail. Chris went to work and back on the road , good people there

I've been going to diesel specialists for years with my Dodge ram 2500 and have never been anything but completely happy with their service and professionalism. Call or drive over and ask for Alyssa and tell her the inspector sent you

this company charged me over $900 to replace an $8 fuel hose. it took them 6 hours ($155/hr) to figure it out i had a leaking hose on the selector valve and only 10 min to install. Most of their reviews here are fake! i have receipts and pictures of them screwing me over. litterally an $8 hose installed for over $980. They also have a bunch of interns working for free, while they're charging US $155/HR (most expensive shop in the US. look at their Y elp review for full story

We came in with a very specific problem, a strange problem nobody has ever seen, it required many hours of diagnosis and communication with Fuso head office. This shop is completely thorough, patient and accommodating. They did not bill us for the total hours that they worked on it and cited this unique situation was also a learning curve for them. I think that s about as honest as you can get. Bob, at the front counter is extremely knowledgeable, an industry veteran, and a huge asset through the process. Communication is excellent here, their administrative and parts staff are equally commendable for their effort.Service: Brakes

I was heading back home to Oregon from Tucson AZ when my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 suddenly developed an issue. I was towing my 24ft trailer and while pulling out of a Rest Area into heavy traffic, the truck made a load bang, the tachometer temporarily stopped working and the engine started making a very load knocking sound. I decided to try make it the 230 miles to Las Vegas rather than try and get it repaired in a tiny town. The first diesel shop I took it to was booked out for almost 3 weeks. The general manager was nice enough to look under the hood with the engine running but couldn t figure it out. Luckily the next shop I tried was Diesel Specialists. I was courteously greeted by Elisha who listened to my story. Bob another front desk person, who happens to own the exact same truck, was listening. He came out with me to the truck and figured out the problem right away. The exhaust pipe, which is made in two sections, had separated. They got it fixed up and had me back on the road in under an hour. Vegas portion of the vacation saved. Thank you so much!

I went in for an oil change on my F350 diesel. I am moving from Las Vegas to Phoenix. I am having to leave an unsafe situation quickly with my son, and using the truck to move. I was scared of something going wrong on the trip, so I asked for a full inspection which was an additional hour of labor. My budget is tight, but I'm afraid of something going wrong in the middle of nowhere. The mechanic said he understands my situation and that his free visual inspection should be just fine to make sure the truck is good for the trip. He was honest and had my best interests while I was in a tough spot. They were recommended to me by another mechanic, and now I see why.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my 01 cummins here for a fuel leak and oil leak. They steam cleaned the engine bay and replaced the fuel drain valve and said they couldn't find any oil leaks. They did fix the fuel leak, brought the truck home and immediately saw the oil leaking. They got grease on my sub volume knob and my head unit face was off the unit itself, so I wonder what they were testing out. No real harm done but my problems persist and they overcharged significantly for a drain valve. Trucks also making a weird sound now too. Let's hope they didn't test my tuner as much as they tested my subwoofer.Service: Engine repair

Took my 99 Ford 7.3 superduty they had it for 6 weeks when I started calling they said they were having trouble with their scanning tool. The 5th week I went in for the 3rd time and ask if I needed to take it somewhere else. The next day they called me and said the computer had gone bad and they ordered a replacement and would take about a week. Got the truck about a week later $1800 it ran for about a week. Took it back they said that computer had gone bad. They had it 4 more weeks. Got it back and it ran about 10 days. Found another shop turns out it was a plugged exhaust back pressure tube, $40 part.I would not recommend this shop.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning

SO far so good, I moved over here from Powertrain Performance<-- (They were a joke). Took in my 2002 Ford Excursion 7.3 International to DSI and they have done great work. I was in for an oil change and check up. They were all very courteous and that is very big to me being an ex military man. I also had my brakes installed at another shop and during my oil change and truck check up they found clips that were backwards (doesnt really affect anything) but shows the attention to detail from the team to catch something so minute. They have earned my business for their professionalism and great prices.

After recommendations from friends and a short conversation with a former mechanic that used to work for these guys I began taking my vehicle to them. Years later I still use them for honest and fair service with integrity. Thank you Diesel Specialist for treating others as you would want to be treated. Best regards (5 STAR Service)Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

We have been using Diesel Specialists Inc for many years now for our 1999 Dodge 2500 Cummins. Darryl and Bob always were true and honest to us. the price is always top notch and price is always reasonable. I love talking about sensible upgrades with them to perform on the truck.

I just had my 2002 Dodge 3/4 ton Cummins in for a preliminary service and complete checkover after having bought it a few weeks back with 130K miles on it. Everyone I spoke with was courteous, professional, and took the time to discuss options with me. They did only the service I asked, and let me know what issues I needed to address in the near future.I am an informed buyer with regards to the 2nd Gen Cummins and it was obvious to me that these guys both know what they're talking about and enjoy what they do. Prior to my purchase I had spoken to Daryl on the phone about the possibility of buying a 6.0L Ford and he was patient and informative as he discussed with me what issues I might have. Today he was just as patient and informative when discussing what things I can and probably should do to ensure that I get many years and miles out of my Cummins.More importantly, the recommendations given by all that I spoke with were frank regarding OEM vs aftermarket parts, where a dealer will only deal with OEM parts. For example, Bob recommends only the OEM APPS (throttle position sensor) as they have had poor luck with aftermarket units. But both Bob and Daryl were happy to recommend aftermarket parts such as an Insight monitoring system and a Redhead steering box to address those issues. This shows to me that they actually have experience with these parts and are more interested in helping me with my objectives for my vehicle than they are simply selling parts and service. Two friends of mine just happened to have scheduled an oil change at the same time this morning and we sat and talked about our trucks, service, and many other things. They just had DSI rebuild their 2005 Cummins after having blown the motor (due to hot-starting it with Ether). They also had a very positive experience with DSI. It took them several months to get the work done, but that was due to the parts being backordered with Cummins. Once the parts were in DSI apparently took very good care of them. They had initially taken their truck to the Cummins dealership, but they wouldn't work on it as they only work on the big engines. A gentleman their recommended DSI.I can't speak to the negative reviews of DSI from several years back, but the two gentlemen at the counter (Bob and Luis as I recall), Daryl, and Scott (I believe it was) that actually performed the work on my truck, were all knowledgeable and courteous. The facility was clean, the coffee was excellent, and there was ample reading material on relevant topics. If you have a diesel vehicle I believe that you should at least talk to these guys about service.

Addendum - Another shop "Powerstroke Performance" called me on a SUNDAY in response to my query. Advised I change OIL to 5 w40 T^ and the problem went away. Now THAT is an expert... and a great guy I'll give my business to in the future.NOT SO Knowledgeable but AND OVER priced. Brought my Powerstroke in, first they told me it was a sensor, then they told me I "might" be losing some injectors... Quoted me over $350 per injector just for PART, I went on line and found a WHOLE SET of high performance injectors for $1,100 and told them I'd pay for them to install. Bob (one of the owners?) told me he'd have to increase their shop rate if I didn't buy the parts through them and that "mark up" was part of their profits. I'd be "okay" with that if they were straight up.Bottom line - Their halfass diagnostics didn't locate the injector problem, so apparently they need a better computer. THEN I learn it was nothing to do with the injectors. Don't waste your hard earned $$ on these characters.Got another bid from a diesel shop to install the injectors I buy... 4-5 hours @ $95.00 hr...

FANTASTIC!We were on vacation and had a major problem with our Ford 6.0 Powerstroke. I took it to another shop in town and was quoted an unreasonably high quote. I called DSI the next day and was given what I know to be a fair quote despite my being out of town and and in a desperate situation. When I showed up, I found the shop and technicians to be professional and very responsive to my needs. The truck ran flawlessly after they're work. If I lived in Las Vegas, this would be the only shop I would consider using. Thanks Guys!

Had a transmission leak in a 2 month old transmission from ford. I was told to bring it to the Dealership i live close to friendly ford so i took it there they gave me the runaround. But Diesel Specialists stepped up and took care of the problem no out of pocket cost. Fords warranty does not carry weight at Friendly Ford i guess. i wont ever buy or do business from them. Thanks Diesel Spec. for standing behind fords product and warranty.

I brought my first Ford 3/4 ton diesal truck to DSI over 15 years ago when a friend refered them. I am now bringing my second truck to them. There is no one I trust more. I have brought my truck in with a loud rattle thinking this is gonna be an expensive fix. Five minutes later the mechanic hands me my keys and says; "it was only a loose bolt we tightened for you-no cost, have a nice day". What really no charge??? Where else can you go for that kind of honesty? Before I purchased my second truck I had them do a prepurchase check thats how much I trust them. My truck has 350,000 on it and it is going strong. Thanks to DSI for taking care of my baby!!

Attempted to get a diagnostics for my truck and after burning half a tank of gas and charging $150 they said nothing was wrong. Well possibly the EGR was dirty. Took to another shop and my up pipe to my turbo was broke almost completely in half. Took them less than an hour to give an accurate description. Would not waste my time, money, or gas!

Diesel Specialists has worked on my F-350 several times and have always under-promised and outperformed. No one LIKES needing vehicle repair, but there is some solace in knowing you can trust the folks fixing your ride.

I have been using DSI for several years now. I have an 03' Dodge 3500 Cummins diesel with 171,000 miles. DSI has performed diognostics, repaired brakes, oil leaks, fuel pump replacement and various other jobs. I have used other shops here in Vegas and Southern Utah. DSI has proven to be professional, fairly priced and easy to work with. I recently had a fuel pump fail 6 months out of warranty and DSI covered the replacement for no charge. Who does that? I have recommended DSI to several of my diesel enthusiast buddies and all have reported a positive experience. I enthusiastically recommend this professional repair shop for your diesel repair needs!Sincerely, Robert Chess

The owner went above n beyond to help me. Wouldn't sell me the expensive replacement like a dealer would, but explored the lesser alternative first to see if that was the problem n sure enough it worked. Trustworthy n I will always go back there
