We were visiting from Cali, and our engine started smoking, and fluid was all over the engine and leaking from the vehicle. We spoke to 3 different mechanics ( one being our mechanic in Cali) who said it sounds like your water pump needs to be replaced. I called many local mechanics, and Dave he gave me a competitive quote over the phone, so we chose him to do the repairs. After having the vehicle towed to his shop, he assessed the vehicle himself and found it was a broken radiator cap, which explained the fluid leak and water all over the engine. He replaced the cap, checked it again the next day for possible leaked, and found nothing. He charged me nothing when I picked up the vehicle. I definitely recommend this shop because the owner is honest and has integrity. I tried to give him $25 for his time, and he wouldn't take it. I am thankful that we found an honest service shop even while being away from home.

Honest, reliable, reasonably priced! I highly recommend this repair shop!!!Yes it s the story of an auto repair ignorant trying to ready her car for a road trip who was misled by a dealer and another well known auto repair place (chain) in Summerlin. Dave inspected their recommendations and saved me over $1000 dollars and very likely my transmission, too.Thank you so much Dave.

Dave and his crew saved our rear ends! We are from Portland Oregon and before our trip to Vegas we dropped our vehicle off to be serviced because the power steering was acting up. The shop in Portland fixed $1400 dollars worth of things, but never even repaired the power steering. Fast forward to today... Mind you that the power steering pump runs our fan and we have seen temps around 118! We needed a shop that was reputable and could get us back on the road quick. After searching reviews and calling around Dave was the only one who could see us on short notice. We dropped it off when they opened and we got a call at 4pm that she was fixed and ready to roll! Same day service, no hassle, no needless repairs and for a fair price! Thank you Dave and crew! You saved our vacation!

Needed headlight bulb replaced. Other shops quoted between $136 to $300. Dave did the work for $49. I found Dave and his guys professional, friendly and most importantly honest. Dave did the work in 15 minutes. This was my first time here and will definitely return for any needed work. I would highly recommend him. Dave has gained a new customer. Thank you Dave!

I was there to actually take my car to one of the other auto places next to Dave's. But even though they were supposed to open at 8, they never did. After waiting almost 45 minutes for someone to show up, I finally went over to Dave's to ask him if he could work on my transmission. He was very honest with me and told me what I needed to do since there was a lawsuit going on with the car company and the transmissions they used. He also suggested which dealership I should go to because he did not trust the one on the west side and said I should go to the one on the east side. Even though he couldn't help fix my car, he lead me in the right direction. Thank you Dave for being honest and helping!! Definitely someone you can trust!

This shop was recommended to me by a friend of a friend. We all know those can sometimes not work out as well as we want. From the moment I arrived at Dave's shop with my two daughters in tow, I was in the BEST hands. This is one of the few shops I believe is truly in the business to help people and not to get over on them.I bought a car that seemed to be like a good investment, and the very next day the air conditioning wasn't working. The person I bought it from wasn't honest and knew that the a/c was broken but loaded it up and had it blowing cold when he brought it over for a test drive. I explained this all to Dave who immediately had someone working on it. The first repair we tried was the cheaper of the two but it actually did not work, although I ended up having to replace a larger part; the work was fast and efficient and at a more than fair price, and when he found out the first repair didn't work he very quickly got me back in for the other repair.This shop is always going to be my first recommendation when talking about auto repair in Las Vegas. It's very easy as a single mom to be taken advantage of in these types of situations and honestly I never had to worry about that here. If you re looking for an honest mechanic that does great work, friendly, caring, straight shooter & lots of experience - I would highly recommend this place. They just replaced my starter, & have fixed my AC in the past. I will keep coming back!

Dave's Auto is the only place I'll ever take my car, and highly recommend to everyone.Dave ( Owner) is the most honest, trustworthy tech I've ever known. we take all our vehicles to Dave!This time he out did his regular awesomeService. He found that a part he previouslyInstalled was faulty from the manufacturer and only lasted a few months.He replaced it for free. The faulty part was not his fault but he provided all the labor to replaceIt. He could have told me anything, but He is honest and fair.I recommend him to all my family and friends. Overpriced. Thing twice before you left your car here.Overcharged 3 times more for replacing the coolant hose and building the bill with minor and not necessary parts and labor.Ask for print invoice otherwise be prepared for robbery

I came in today to inquire about the front wheel bearings on my 2010 Camry. Dave was very professional and my car was done quicker than i thought. I strongly recommend his services and his staff. I was stranded in Las Vegas I called around 3 local dealerships for my car all were 2 weeks booked out I saw Dave and his great reviews so I decided to take my car over There. Very fast checking with also very fast diagnosic check Which was free by the way which is rare these days I really appreciate dave for helping me out an telling me my issue.Honest, caring, professional would highly recommend.

Wow.Brought my car in, had it diagnosed the next day at half the cost of other places i checked. Other place told me 5 days hold just to diagnose it.1 day later i had all three items replaced. I was familiar enough to know without a doubt that the work they did was exactly what was needed and nothing more added on.Had the car smogged as well which was what i needed to register it the same day i picked it up.It's a no frills No BS shop with real mechanics that get it done and charge a fair price for parts and labor and do it faster than any other shop i have dealt with.I got a handful of business cards to give to friends.

Dave made the best of a bad situation. My transmission went out and I had to have it replaced. He outlined my options, gave me all the pros and cons of the choices and, most importantly, the best price by far of all the other shops that I called. In addition to that, he got me the car a day early and a loaner car free of charge. Honest mechanics are tough to come by these days.

Finally after years of being ripped off with other repair shops (that I used to like) and/or hiring Craigslist mechanics who were good but transient, I finally found a repair shop that does what I need, FAST, no fuss, no dishonesty or upsell, just doing the job done right and at a reasonable & fair cost. I've had two different repairs on my Range Rover and the experiences were the same so I know the first time wasn't a fluke. Great guys over there at Dave's. My husband says we don't need to go anywhere else now. Whew!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Convenient, honest and fair! I brought my Chrysler Town and Country in for a tune up. He was easy to set an appointment with. He finished on the timeline he gave me. He charged hundred less than the dealership for the same work. I also brought in my Chrysler PT Cruiser for AC Service. His quote was $200 less than the other shop my husband used for a quote. I will recommend him to my friends and family. Thanks!

Very reasonable and Dave was not pushy at all. We took the car because fumes smell inside and a noise when we gave it gas. Dave fix it the same day and only charged $49.50. No more noise or smell. Thanks Dave!

I found Dave on google maps. I had been looking for a mechanic before I needed one so I wouldn t have to scramble to find someone in a pinch. I took my truck in for a smog check to meet Dave and see the shop. I told him about a few problems that I d need to address soon. Through our conversation and looking at my truck, I mentioned some repairs that I had done myself. He mentioned that he used to own basically the same vehicle and knew right away what was wrong. What impressed me is he told me what needed to be replaced and that, based on the other work I had done, I could easily fix it myself if I wanted too. That s what impressed me. He basically told me what needed fixing and seeing I was a DIY person didn t even try to get me to have him do the work!! Well a couple weeks later I brought the truck back and had him do the work. Totally satisfied and very reasonable price, and no busted knuckles!!

Dave and Bill are the best! The never try to sell me things I don't need and don't want, they are always honesty and fair. I appreciate mechanics I can trust. Especially being a woman it feels like the car repair services people are always trying to take you for a ride and get as much money as possible because they know that you don't/can't do it but yourself, but Dave never makes me feel like he's swindling me. Thank you Dave and Bill! Keep up the good and honest work

I had another mechanic tell me my head gaskets needed to be replaced to the tune of $2,000. I contacted Dave's to get a second opinion about the repair he said he can do the repair for less than that. When they looked at the car he did not find a problem with the head gaskets only a leaking radiator, which he replaced. Dave could have taken advantage but he was honest and he did not do that. It's rare to find honest mechanics in Las Vegas and Dave is one of them.

Most mechanics wouldn't touch our custom Jeep Wrangler. Dave didn't even hesitate. He fixed a laundry list of problems that others were unwilling to attempt. Even better, he did it in half the time he said he was going to. Dave is quality & we will be back, but hopefully not too soon!

I am never fan when it comes to auto repairs, but Dave was awesome!! I was very unsure what exactly was wrong with my vehicle and I know it was a frustrating experience for him and his techs. I appreciated the time and all the work they put in. I would definitely return and recommend others

on the way to vegas from orange county, my sienna started making a high pitch sound. In the desert heat, it would make anyone concern. Especially with kids in the car. Fortunately we made it to the hotel and I started looking for a place to bring the car. Dave's had good reviews but being someone from out of town, it's always a worry that you will find an honest mechanic. When I started the car the next morning, nothing. No more high pitch noise. Geez. Dave informed me that if the car wasn't making any noise, it would be hard to diagnosis but I could leave the car to see if he could replicate the sound. He called me a few hours later to inform me that he could not, and there was nothing he could do. I appreciate that. He could have done a number of other things to make money from an out of towner, but he did not. And then when I asked him how much for his time, he said "nothing". I told him I would like to pay for his time but he said no. Amazing guy! Now, I don't know if the car still has a problem but at least I know who to go to if the sound comes back.

That was a car my son dropped off for repair there. They said the car would be a money pit that had all these things that it needed but they refuse to work on it. I rented a car hauler drove 500 Miles round trip to pick it up brought it to my mechanic in one hour actually less the car was running. Needless to say I will never go back to Dave's Auto again.

I came Saturday. David was not there. Their workers did an alignment job for me. It was not to my satisfaction when I drove to LA and back. I came back on Wednesday and David and his crew not only fixed the problem, but also did me a great favor financially. Honest and good company. I would highly recommend their services to those looking for it.

About a month ago, our car suddenly and unexpectedly broke down and we were very close to Dave s Auto Tech. We had the car towed to the shop and they took care of everything (CV joint needed to be replaced) and we had it back in our possession only a couple hours later. The entire process went super smoothly and our car has been driving perfectly since then.

Is there any option for zero star?I will be happy to give it to this place.Wherever his name is, he is very RUDE. He treats you like you know nothing.I trusted them to fix my car oxygen sensor( engine light and tires rotation noises). A day later engine light come out again. Noises on my tires was still there. I took it back to them all I get from them is attitude. They told me that my tires need to be changed. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Please don't make the same mistake I made. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.I hope this place go out of business.

During our long road trip we needed some maintenance done on our van. They did an excellent job checking the fluids & air pressure, and changing our oil & fuel filter. I was also impressed with how quickly they were able to squeeze us in without an appointment. Thank you!
